Morula stage on Day 5 Transfer

Post by wanttodiscuss »

I had a day 5 transfer yesterday, but the only blast was poor quality with lots of fragmentation. We transferred 2 that were considered "excellent" quality but were only at morula stage with one of them cavitating.

Is this a really bad sign that they were not yet blast by day 5? Anyone with knowledge/experience on this topic would be appreciated.

Only 1 of our other 4 morula stage that were considered "good" quality made it to being a good blast today for freezing.

Thanks!

Update - Currently 8dp5dt BFP on HPT!!!! Blood test to confirm isn't for another 6 days.

Apparently the morula issue isn't a big one according to an embryologist I found on another site.

No one responded to this question, but I wanted to post my results in case anyone else is going through the same thing.

Slow embryos reduced your chances a little, but it still worked out.

Congratulations!

Hi Wanttodiscuss,

Congratulations on your + test. That is great to get one so early, you must feel really relieved I know I would.
I hope everything goes well for you and take care

Thanks Kez-

I am really excited. Nervous about everything but excited. It was a little early I guess but 13 days past retrieval which is just a little early. It was a light line but today very dark, so I am feeling great about things. Already feeling a little nausea today which seems really early, but nothing too bad so I guess it is possible that even very early it come come and go.

Good luck to you on the 8th!!!
