Hi Ghost-
I was hoping you might be able to lend me a little expertise. I just completed my 1st IVF cycle and it was unsuccessful. We had no fertilization. We tried rescue ICSI and had 10 of my 17 eggs fertilize. Ultimately put back 3 embryos that were 5, 6, and 7 cells. But it ended up not working. My RE didn't have a good explanation for us as to why it didn't work. He said the egg quality wasn't great and many of my eggs looked immature. But also suggested it could be a sperm antibody or male factor issue. We will try again with ICSI up front, but he made it sound like that may not help if it is an egg issue. (to complicate things, my estogen rose very quickly and very high with stimulation. It was 5050 before the ER.) My question for you is, do you think that if the eggs fertilized after rescue ICSI that makes it less likely to be an egg-related problem? I want to be optimistic about our next try, but can't help but feel apprehension and anxiety. Any input is appreciated. Thanks for your time.
