anyone got pregnant after a three transfer

Post by cheekskuss »

I am going to have my second ivf tranfer on sunday and i do alot of reading and researching on ivf and you see so many diffrent things being said so i want to go of actual facts say say your chances of getting pregnant on a three day is less of a chance compared to doing a five blastocyst and then i read some where else that sometimes eggs that didnt make it to blast would have made it and became a pregancy if implanted on a three or two day. so i am trying to see how many ladies on the board became pregnant on a three day transfer.

Good Morning,
I have just found out that I am pregnant, I had a three day transfer, I too like you have done alot of reaseach into IVF, this is now my third attempt and my second successful one.
I alked the embrologist about three day transfer versus blastocyst, and she told me that the body is the best medium for the eggs to divide and hopefully implant, the medium they use in the lab can never be as good as the human body, but I think everyone is different so please dont quote me on this.
Good luck with the transfer tomorrow

Mine was a 3 day transfer too, and I got pg as well. The last cyle I had a 5 day transfer and got a BFN, so I think sometimes those little embryos do better when they can get back inside as soon as possible.

good luck with your transfer!

I was a three-day transfer too and got pregnant - my first IVF cycle. I'm 39, had an FSH level of 13, and everything I read from the beginning of this process was doom and gloom. EXCEPT for the message boards, where real women talk about their real experiences, and it's not just all about the numbers game.

You can't avoid it to some extent. Once you get pregnant, then you're dealing with all the Down's statistics, etc. But I really advise not getting too hung up on the medical statistics, and focus more on how you feel, how your body feels, and what communities like this tell you about what real people experience. There are more exceptions to the rule, it seems, than you would ever imagine by reading the literature!
