Jen- So excited for you. For some reason, from the get go, I just knew you would end up pregnant. Way to go. Glad you did the HPT early!!!

Must say this is a very fertile board. I hope that brings me luck as well.

2nd day of Gonal-F. It amazes me how much of that stuff I have to pump into my system. It seems to take forever for all the liquid to leave the needle. THe shots are going well. Bled like crazy today after the shot, but that's okay.

Question.....I am STILL having AF  Granted she hasn't been here a full week yet...only 5 days, but shouldn't all the drugs make her disappear? I feel horrible because DH and I are supposed to be ....well you know....but I can't when I am like this...what happens if she sticks around for weeks at a time...which she has been known to do?

Just wanted to let you guys know how much you mean to me. It makes me so happy to read all your posts. You are the most positive women I have ever met!!! I want to thank you for all your kind words and support.
I will be back on tomorrow morning...hopefully...then off for about two weeks. Keep up the good work!!!

Sophie- When you get a chance if you would move me to stimming please. Nothing to worry about...won't even see it for two weeks...then I will be on the 2ww :D

Take care guys...lots of prayers headed your way.

Hi ladies,

Jenn: Congrats !! on you BFP. You will be sealing the deal tomorrow. :D

PMApsy: I think it was a good decision to move forward with the ER I would have done the same. The hotwater bottle is doing the trick on the injection spot. excuse me for being silly, but what does OHSS mean? :? see you in the 2ww tomorrow.

Julie: I also doing my 5 day transfer tomorrow, see in 2ww :D

Angela: You are soooo lucky not to have to do this progest... shot  hurts, sore, I do ice still hurts maybe ice some more.

Sophie, see you in the 2ww

I am so excited about the ET tomorrow, I hope all goes well, i can't wait to see them and I hope I get a picture. Ladies I am excited, but I know its down to it now. I am not use to being still, never been on bed rest before, gosh how long do I have to do this after ET. see I already got the 2ww going nuts shot LOL. I will keep you all posted.

Hello guys,

A quick post for me today as I really intend to catch up on all the work I could not do during the tough days. I'm doing well, though I had a rough night again. I had to get up twice to go to the bathroom and I absolutely had to take Tylenol during the night because the pain in my back was back full force. I was as happy as I was apprehensive... this post-ER recovery is already double of what it was last time... and that might mean that implantation occurred! :D Hehehe but if it's the case, then that will keep going for a week or two! ew! Anyway...

marsxp: of course we remember you, silly! it's great to have news sweetie! Thanks for dropping by! How are you doing? Glad you made a blog; I bet it helps you vent about many things; the two little angels are cute! ;)

hrobinson: I'll move you to stimming, don't worry! See you in the 2ww when you come back! :D *HUGS*

arizonakiwi: how are you doing? Just one day left... give us news when you can! Thinking of you!

mommytobe: OHSS is for Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome. Basically, it's when the hormones go a bit crazy after trigger due to stimulating them too much. There are many levels of OHSS, and most stages are not dangerous, but darn uncomfortable. It causes, among other things, an accumulation of "water" in the abdomen. When there's a lot, it pushes on the diaphragm and the lungs can't expand well, so breathing becomes difficult. I've only seen one person here having to be hospitalized for it. There is little you can do to treat it other than wait for it to peak and pass. My clinic recommends to drink Gatorade because it levels the electrolytes and, instead of just accumulating water, the electrolytes will help you pass the water in the bloodstream, then in the kidneys and straight to the bladder; so you get rid of it faster. Hence why I have to get up so often during the night to go pee! Good luck for your transfer! :D As for bedrest, scientific literature declares it completely useless, but as always, it's your choice sweetie! :D

Pat: I'm really sorry that your HPT was negative. *hugs* All my sympathy to you and your husband. Nevertheless, if you don't have AF, I would strongly suggest you to get a blood test just to be sure. HTP are far less reliable. Take care of yourself sweetie....

Hi Ladies,

Angela: Thanks for the well wishes, I will let you all know when i get home today. No too long for you, can't wait for the news.

Pat Sweetie, soo sorry about your result, but sophie is right a blood test is more accurate.

Sophie, Thans for the explanation, wow, I had those feelings after the ER i got up to use the bathroom about 10 times and it was so painful to empty my bladder  and the nurse told me its because my ovaries were swollen from making all those eggs, I drank a lot of water, i did not have gatorade, they should tell you to get gatorade as a protocal I had no clue :? How are you feeling today? Bedrest for all is optional i thougth as well. I think the reason they tell you do it after IVF is because its an instrument that is placing the embi back into the uterus and not from natural conception, who knows. that's my view.

Marsha: Your blog is beautiful seeing your babies brought tears to my eyes. I showed my husband and he was amazed, he was lik "wow".

Babysoft: Welcome to our board. You will get so much support here from all the women like i have. They have been such a blessing to me through the entire journey.

2 WW I will join you all today :D

Love you all

Tia

mommytobe: actually, drinking lots of water probably made your symptoms worse; I was advised against drinking too much water because it just added to the one already building in your abdomen. The fact it's an instrument placing your embies in your uterus changes nothing. They place the embies exactly at the location they should be if you had conceived naturally, e.g., more or less close to the part where your tubes connect to your uterus, depending on their stage. The reason why people, including some doctors who are not up-to-date with the recent literature on the subject, recommend bedrest is because it's naturally what people recommended you to do at the beginnings of IVF. They figured you had just received a medical intervention, plus there was the fact that you knew the exact moment when the embryos arrived in the uterus (a luxury you don't have when you conceive naturally), and given that we have so few shots at it, they figured it was better to play it safe. Turns out that studies show that playing it safe changes nothing, but some people keep doing it without any scientific basis backing that up. Just be careful that you don't put yourself at risk of developing blood clots in the legs (a risk with any bedrest, even for just a day).

Hello Everyone! Sorry for the short posts earlier...I have been busy getting ready for my transfer and working in all my patients!

Jenn...WOOOHOOO!!! All that worrying for nothing! Congrats Girl, I am soooo excited for you!! Enjoy this time!!!

Mommy2be and Jul1e...how did the transfer go? I am so excited for the two of you? How are you feeling???

Babysoft...Welcome to the GROUP!!! Good luck with everything, especially those injections we love sooooo much!

Sophie...how are the OHSS symptoms? Getting better I hope! Are you planning on doing an HPT? I can't decide on whether or not I am going to...since I won't have done an HCG injection, a + is a +!!! Even thought I am having an FET, they are still waiting 2 weeks to test! BUMMER!!! I believe implantation should occur 2-3 days after the transfer on a 5 day transfer, right?

arizonakiwi...how are you feeling dear? Any exciting sypmtoms to report?

mandeeq...you are very close to testing! How are you feeling?

How are all the PREGO women feeling, Jovigal, Tanya, My2LnT, gbnut, Jenn and nimble???

For the question about the rice sock...I put raw uncooked rice in a long sock and heat it in the microwave for about 40 seconds and it stays hot for about 10-15 minutes! Those progesterone injections are a %#$@&!!! My tush is constantly in pain!!! I can't wait to be done with those!!! Anybody have any other tips?

As for me...I am EXCITED about tomorrow! My sister is going to spend the afternoon with me and she rented 8 movies for us to watch for the rest of the week! WOOOHOOO!! My appointment is 7:30am, but my acupuncturist is meeting me there at 7am to do a session before and after the transfer! So, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers!
I also wanted to THANK everyone for their support! It is wonderful to have women like all of you!!!
Gotta run...I have to go back to work! Sorry if I missed anyone...I will try to write tomorrow after my transfer!!! XOXO
