We are in the process of initiating a egg donor cycle. Our last two IVF cycles failed and our doctor feels this (or adoption) would be the best for us. She didn't give us any statistics but said that all of her donor cycles have been successful (she screens the donors and oftentimes rejects them and has the couple pick again). This is a very expensive option but one I think we need to try before considering adoption. How many of you have used donor eggs and how successful were you? Any advice, tips would be appreciated.
I am currently 13 weeks pg with twins from a donor. I have had 5 ivf cycles. The 1st we didn't have any embies to transfer. The 2nd we had only 2 that wern't very good quality. The 3rd was a donor cycle & I got pg but, mc at 9 weeks. The 4th cycle was cancelled due to an ovarian cyst in the donor & this is the 5th & they look perfect. They never could tell us what the problem was but, I just wanted a baby & knew I was going to run out of money if I kept using my eggs so, I decided on my own without the Dr suggesting anything that I wanted a donor. I was worth it since this was our last hope.
