Mandeeq, I'm so sorry. I'm glad you're saying you'll try again, they say you should try at least three to five times just to beat the law of averages. Look after yourself sweetie.

Thinking of you

Literatriz, that's very exciting that you're donor is stimming now, not long to go then, I hope you get good news soon. Will you actually meet her? I think it is such a great situation, I love that you're helping each other.

Jen, you asked about my symptoms, well quite crampy when I'm on my feet for any length of time and my (.)(.)s are getting sorer, not getting too excited about that though as they were sore last time too. I didn't do assisted hatching, hope they managed themselves! Sorry your shots are bothering you so much, I'm just doing pessaries.

Tanya, what's FNER? First response something? Not sure if I'll test or not, not til next week anyway, I hate the price of these tests, they're so expensive, I sound like scrooge!

Sophie, thanks for your info - you really have a wealth of knowledge! I wish we did blood tests but they just tell me to hand in a urine sample and they call me later on with the result. Oh I feel all horrible just talking about it. The call was so awful last time that I think I might test first, that way if it's good news that's great and if it's not I'll have softened the blow. Anyways don't want to be talking about bad news. Positive vibes for all us 2wwaiters.

Tia, sounds like you've got similar cramps to me. Does anyone know why we're all crampy?

Hang in there ladies.

Hello sweeties!

I have a minute in front of the computer... hehehe my colleague is using my office because she has to pump her milk! Hope the good mommy vibes she leaves there bring me luck!

Literatriz: I think not having sex for 12 weeks after transfert is completely crazy. There is NO scientific basis to back that up. I hope it's a simple misunderstanding! Once your embryos are implanted, there's no reason why you shouldn't have sex, unless you have OTHER health problems that might cause harm to your embies. But if you have a normal pregnancy, twins or not, there's no reason for you to stop having sex/orgasms for so long. And before transfer, be very careful! You don't want your husband's abstinence to last too long, because his sperm will have less motility and count! It will be too old! You want it to be 3-5 days old max the morning of the fertilisation.

jen: hey sweetie! :D Already scratching the paint off the walls after 3 days! Hehehehe must be the lazy days with your sis, watching TV! :D I'm so sorry about your butt, sweetie... (and LOL where else would you hear someone say that???). But try the tricks people mentioned here! Ice the injection spot for 10 minutes before your injection, and then put heat on it for 15 minutes. It really helps your skin absorb the meds because the oil liquefies better with the heat. As for the evil HPTs... there are pros and cons, you're right. The pros is that you might know sooner if you're pregnant. But that's the only pro. Because when you look at the cons... TansRN and My2LnT were still very nervous and anxious before their beta, even if they both had tons of positives HTPs... simply because it's not that convincing, and the blood test leaves almost no doubt. And the downside is that you might kill your PMA if you have a negative HTP because like me, you'll tell yourself, "Yeah, I'll know that it's unreliable anyway, so I'll just put it aside and do another one later or wait for the blood test." But believe me, it hits you hard all the same, and part of you still believes that things are not looking so good. So you feel a little depressed, and still keep the PMA because it's unreliable... I'm really tempted to test, too, because I'd really really like to be the one telling the news to my DH... and make a big surprise, cook a super nice dinner and all. That's what pushed me to test last time. I regretted it bitterly because I ended up having both high highs and low lows until I had the blood test and got my BFN confirmed, and THEN I felt imensely relieved. Just because I finally had a clear answer. Instead of waiting for the clear answer and grieve one day instead of four. So I don't necessarily think it's a matter of how you can handle a BFN on an HTP... it's more your capacity to give it no credibility whatsoever and keep your PMA intact all the same.

Jenn: hehehe don't worry about me girl! I'm much better today and I had a lovely evening yesterday! :D And about the 2ww, I'm really doing well. As I told Shantala in a pm, the 2ww is actually a very peaceful time for me, because I have the privilege to consider myself pregnant and just revel in the sweetness of that thought... plus I don't have to take as many meds and I don't suffer the side effects of down regging or stimming. To me, the sore boobs and the cramping is far more tolerable than extreme fatigue or IBS attacks! ;) Or post ER extra-bloating and pain! So don't worry about me; doing super good here! Looking forward to know about your u/s!!!!

Jovigal: hello girlie! So nice of you to come by! That number of BFPs is indeed absolutely amazing! But in a way, it also makes me feel bad for the BFNs we had... somehow, when you have many people sharing that sad news with you, it feels better... and that long BFP list must hit hard in that context. Looking forward to have news about your ultrasound! :D

TansRN: woooohooo! No more school for a while! What happened with your co-worker after all? Glad that things are going well. And SO SORRY that I forgot to reply to two things... first of all, you asked that a while ago... I really didn't know what R&R stood for. I had figured the "rest", but not "relaxation". ;) And about tips to relieve m/s... try this address:

http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/morningsi ... /aanvp.htm

As for me, no other signs or symptoms!

mandeeq: can't wait to hear about your result! I hope your silence is a good omen!

Okay ladies! I'm waiting for mandeeq to update the list... hope we have good news!

Take care and have a great evening!

Sophie...Thanks for your insight! Yes..I am climbing the walls! Crazy, we want to have time off work to relax and when we do...all I can think about is going back to work! Stupid!!! Anyways, still don't know what I want to do. I was so strong last time and didn't do a HPT til after I took my blood test, just to see a HPT say "PREGNANT". I was so hard to sit at home for 4 hours after doing my beta to wait for that phone call....sometimes I think it would be easier to know ahead of time! UGGGGHHHHH!!! What to do!!!

Mandeeq...I am soooo sorry sweetie! Try to keep your head up and be positive. Take care of yourself right now! Glad you are arleady planning for the future. Sometimes that helps to dull the pain. Good luck with everything and remember we are here for you!
In answer to your question, progesterone will delay your period. Usually after you stop the progesterone your period will start a day or two later.

Hello May/June ladies,

I am visiting from the June/July thread to ask a question. I thought that since you had recently been through this you could give me the best answer.

I signed up to help with Vacation Bible School at my church, only to later find out that I will probably have my ER during that week. I realize the day of the ER is out of the question, but will I feel ok for the rest of the time to help, or should I just bow out now? Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hey girls

Beta today was 1893. They said that was great so U/S is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 12. Don't know what we will see but can't wait to see it.

Sophie- you sound was calmer than I was! That is funny that you hope your friend will leave baby vibes in your office from pumping- I was holding my friends babies during my 2ww and thinking their baby dust would rub off on me, or my body would say "oh, holding a baby is nice, I should make these embies stick around!" I guess it worked!

kerribell- I had some cramping after ER for a few days and was sore. They put me under for the procedure then gave me pain killers to take for pain so I was pretty groggy the day of and the next day. I would probably had to have taken the next day off of work. Hope this helps!
Jenn

Kerribell -
I would plan to be down for the day of retrieval and the following day. I'm not sure what your duties would entail but I was very sore for two days (day of procedure plus one) and did not want to be doing any bending or lifting. If you are able to take the time to rest I would do it. I think people's reaction varies greatly, it seems like alot of it might depend on how much you stimulate and how many follicles you end up with.

Mandeeq,
I am so sorry it wasn't a positive result, and I know there is nothing I can say here to make it any better but you are in my thoughts and I hope DH is there to wrap you in his arms and give you lots of love and cuddles.
My AF arrived yesterday (I tested Tuesday) so I am sure your's it isn't far away - Until it arrived I had this silly bit of hope alive that perhaps the test was wrong.....
I am glad you have the opportunity to try again and each day you will become stronger and look forward to your next opportunity. Take care.

Lots of love going out to everyone else, you are in my thoughts. I'll try and catch up with you all tomorrow, i'm still feeling a little delicate and upset - silly little things make tears run down my face when I least expect it. I just wish a few had made it to be frozen. I'm sure I will start feeling stronger in a few days and we will give it another go but I am really afraid that I may have to face reality that they just aren't strong enough to make it.

Hey guys...

Whats up??? I hope that you are all doing well. I have to work all weekend...It will keep me busy until I see the babies again!!!

Jovigal
I am just wondering how everyone is doing and what you are taking. Just for inventory sake! I am so tired all the time it isnt funny. I don't know if it is the drugs or the meds. No clue at this point. I am just so tired. NEED SLEEPY!!! LOL How have you been feeling? I am so excited for you to go to your u/s and hear the h/b!!! That is so great! Let us know as soon as you can!!!!

Jenn
the earliest they can tell how many sacs are in there is when beta levels are at or above 1000. that is the very first time they can see anything. Thanks for your input on the meds....

Jen
Yes I am the same way with the shots. My booty is so sore and I can barely sit on it or lay on it depending on what side is going to flare up!!! I have lumps everywhere....I can't give you any advice that is not biased! I am a HPTer all the way in case you didn't notice!!! LOL. That is totally a personal decision...

mandeeq
I am so sorry to hear about your BFN but happy to see that you are ready to try again !!!!! Good thinking to have a plan in place already!!! Awesome. I think that sometimes the prog pessaries can mess up your AF cycle. Keep in touch....

Jules
No doubt about it they are expensive. I know!!! LOL anyhow yeah it is the first response early result=FRER Good Luck!!!! Baby dust to you....

Sophie
Thank you for the addy...I will be checking into it.

Kerribell
i will say that if you are just manning the snack station you should be fine. If you are to be involved more than that you might want to bow out and then just show up as an extra helper if you feel like it. This way you are not obligated to do anything. That would probably be the better choice. Everyone is different in their post ER pain. I took the week off from work and I am glad I did...I am a nurse and I have a lot of physical activities to do so this was a nice break....Hope it helps.

MyBaby,

Hi was on Lupron shot, I did get my AF on cycle day 10. I know you are anxious, they say your period should come between CD 8 and CD 10, however you have until CD 13 to wait. This was what my clinic told me. You may want to call them and double check, but I am pretty sure you have until CD 13. Are you doing IVF? Did you get all your meds already? I was also on follistim (was a breaze very easy) very fine needles.

How I was of some help?>

MommytoBe

Thx soo much for ur response. Yes I have until CD 13 but I'm worried if i'll be much later than that.

Yes, I'm on my first IVF , I have already got all the meds, will be using Gonal F once I start stimming, But to get to that I'll have to surpass this AF hurdle.

Thx again!!!
