hello again ladies!!! well its official i start stimming today my doc said that i could go ahead and start the gonal-f but instead of taking 225 ill be taking 150 due to the fact that i have 10 follies per ovary so he doesnt want me to overstim..... jeneden thanks for the support all of you thank you for the support hopefully all goes well for all of us hopefully there will be no crazy side effects and i hope we all end p with bfp's at the end of all this!!! babysoft dnt loose hope yet try and stay positive you never know whats gonna. im not sure if this list is up to date but i thought i would re post it if its wrong someone feel free to correct it. have we come up with ay ideas for a name??? someone was saying something about naming our group i was just curious

I am waiting for AF. I took my last bcp last night and as long as I get my period by the end of this weekend I need to go to dr. Monday at 8am for bloodwork and if all is okay I start stims Monday 6/11.

good morning ladies,
well i started gonal-f yesterday and well it ddnt go so well, i didnt prime the pen like i thought i did for 1 the plunger takes some getting use to and whe i go to inject it. OMG it hurt so bad the lupron shots dont even hurt then when i go to push the medicine it burned like you wouldnt believe now i dont know if thats normal or not but wow it made me cry ow im not telling you all this to scare you im mainly telling you cause i want to knowif its normal after the shot it was swollen and immedialtly bruised now today it really tender. i hope todays shot goes better! well other than that small mishap im ok.

rockrat, good luck!!! looks like your not too far behind me. hopefully this whole shot process gets better. any ideas on how to numb the injection area? talk to you all soon ladies have a great day!

Brandi,

I experienced the same thing with my bravelle and menopur shots. Honestly I expected them t be exactly like the lupron....not so bad, but it was horrible....AT FIRST!!

First thing is the way you give yourself the needle...dont go straight with it...put if on an agle...with the hole of the needle pointing up...I can't give you much advice about the burning because it does burn...no matter what you do, but as far as the injection when I went straight in with it...it not only hurt like heck, but I bruised and bled....so it wasn't a good look....but when I tried to put it in on an angle it didn't hurt much ore thn the lupron...the burning is what it is! Hope all goes well.

For me I didn't make my Dr. appt today...wasn't really feeling up to any bad news, so I decided to wait until tomorrow...I will be going in the morning either way even if it isn't meant for this month I will be fine with it being next month.

babysoft, good luck tomorrow your in my thoughts, well second gonal-f shot went great!!! didnt feel a thing i figured out today that if you get one of those resuable ice packs take it out of the feezer and let it sit on the spot your going to be injecting on, put it over your shirt until it goes numb and you feel NOTHING!!!! so im back on track this is day 2 of the gonal-f shot and things are goin well. good luck to all you ladies and hope your injections are still going well. you are all in my thoughts!

good evening ladies, well i was sitting here at work and suddenly it hit me, i dont feel anything i dont feel any different this is day 2 of the gonal-f shouldnt i feel something? no pain no bloating nothing.... im scared that im not stimulating now or maybe its too early, i dont know im trying to stay positive and i know i have said this before but im still not excited about all this yet, even on the lupron i didint feel anything i didint know if it was working until i went to see my doc. i dont know this is just all so much to take in and i reall dont mean to vent here but its the only place ive got. you ladies each and every one of you have been so helpful, thank you for that all of you a big huge thankyou! i have an apt with my doc on mon morn so i guess ill find out then if its taking or not i just really want this to work. all you ladies have a great nite talk to you all tomorrow!

Hope you dont mind me crashing the party,ive beenreading this thread for a while now and thought that maybe i could join

I have spoken to a couple of you previously on other threads,but to those of you who i havnt met yet..Hello

My name is Laurie, im 35 and this will be my 4th attempt at IVF.
1st attempt, went well but no joy
2nd attempt, 2 frozen blasts, no joy
3rd attempt, (felt cheated) embies didnt make it through the thawing

So here we are again. Im compossed and clutching at what little sanity i have left jumping aboard.
I start stimming on Monday 11th June(Gonel F) which im looking forward to sooo much(just love those needles).
Im on 150iu for the first 5 days then will be scaned again to check progress.

I have been given a soft date of the 26th for.ER, which doesnt seem very far away.

Well thats me, i look forwaed to meeting you all, and celebrating many BFP

Any news at the Dr. today?

Welcome Laurie!

I take my last BCP tomorrow, so I am hoping that I get a period within three days, so I can start Stims on the 16th. Keep your fingers crossed for me. My dh is giving me the Lupron in order to practice and work up the courage to do the PIO when (hopefully) the time comes. Some days I feel nothing after the shot, and then tonight it started itching and turned red and bumpy. But it's really no big deal. I wish all the shots were going to be like the Lupron!! Those mean, nasty PIO shots are looming! Dh is going to practice on an orange first. Those of you that are ahead of me, please let me know about the PIO shots when you start them. Thanks!

I have a friend that is doing IVF through a different clinic than me and they allow their patients to do the progesterone through a suppository.. does anyone else have this????

I start birth control pills in two weeks and am extremely anxious. I am also in the middle of closing my business down so I have way too much down time to think

Hi girls! How's everyone doing? I'm still waiting for AF!!!

I have a brownish discharge (sorry if TMI) but not full flow. I'm getting nervous!

Also nervous about stimming injections after reading some of yesterdays posts! I'm sorry girls that you're hurting! Hopefully it will be worth it for all of us in the end.

Today suddenly I got so NERVOUS...that it just had no chance. I'm trying so hard to stay positive. DH and I went to see Knocked Up today which of course just had me bawling even though it was hysterical!

Welcome new girls! We still need to think of a name for ourselves. Any ideas? Did you see the May/June thread and how cute their list is with all the smilies??? Where do they find those?

Jen--OMG...totally dreading the thought of the PIO shot.

I'm wondering if DH can even do this for me? Do I trust him? LOL! He seems more than ready to torture me with the giant needle!

Well ladies I went to the doctor today and I didnt have an u/s but I did have bloodwork done....no chance...my estradiol number have went up, but so have my fsh levels. As it appears...I will NOT be doing IVF this month. But if I have to be completely honest...I'm actually not upset in the least. After reading the post from everyone here...I'm starting to think I was on the wrong protocol anyway. So now comes my question...can someone please tell me what protocol they are on...especially if you have high fsh....I am going to sound like a newbie, but what is down reg? I didn't start taking lupron until the 2nd day of my cycle and it seems that everyone here was taking it before af and/or to get af....can a couple of you tell me about your protocol..ie. what meds when day of cycle...cause honestly I'm at the point that I'm going to do this on my own and I just think that they are too busy for me...don't know but I'd greatly appreciate some info...thanks all!

Now enough of be...hopefully everything is going well with everyone....I see everyone is trying to get use to the shots...Brandi...don't worry...try to keep PMA it helps a lot! hello ladies, well here i is day 3 of the gonal-f along side the lupron and well its not so bad anymore the medications stings when it goes in but again numb it up with ice and it will go great. babysoft heres an idea of what i had to do for my protocol, firstaf was late so the gave me the pio to bring down a period, then once my period came on day 2 of af i started the bcp (birth control pill) that was on may 8th then i started lupron 20 days later, after about 10 days later i stared the gonal-f june 7th so that will give you an idea i hope. as far as the progeterone in suppository form my wont use it he said the shot works better so i have no idea on that. now you sid earlier to keep a PMA...whats that? sorry i couldnt figure that part out. anywho other than that all is going well. im still not feeling in thing in there i mean arent i supposed to feel my ovaries over something?? call me crazy but i think i should be miserale to know its working haha anyway ladies welcome to the newbies i hope eveyone is having a great weekned! talk to you all soon!
