SAD-- BETA's not doubling. . . Don't know what to expect now

Post by amh6967 »

My Beta should have been about 60-65 today, and it was only 26.2
I am told that things aren't looking good for me.
Im so sad... I am 15dp3dt
Was so excited when I got my BFP... Was told to be cautiously optimistic because of my low Beta's but it was hard not to get excited when the 1st 2 numbers did double.
What happened?

I'm so sorry, I haven't been in your situation but I feel bad for you. As far as I know, when there are early problems with a pregnancy it is likely to be chromosomal problems??? Hang in there. Fee

I'm so sorry. I was really praying that your numbers would sky rocket. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that your second beta didn't double. I don't want to be the bearer of sad news (because this may not be your situation) but I too have been given the great news of a BFP (twice) only to find out that my beta didn't double. In both cases the pregnancy ended shortly after my betas. In the first case I had bleeding (like AF) 6 days after my first beta and in the second case I had very light bleeding the day after my first beta. I hope this isn't the case for you, but I was told that it was my body's way of telling me the embryo had chromosonal problems. Did they tell you to come back for another beta in another 2 days? Let me know what happens.

You guys are so awesome-- my online support group/ therapy session.
I go in for a 4th Beta tomorrow, I guess to confirm the bad news.

I'm very sad, but not giving up yet. . . our insurance will pay for another try or two. (more torturous months of hormones, emotions, and obsessing)
*sigh*

Angela,

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I have been through 2 and completely understand how you must be feeling. Just when you start to get excited and think about the future, it is taken away.
There is really nothing I can say. But the positive news is that you can get pregnant so hopefully the next time will be one for you!
Rest and recover so that you are ready for the next round. Best of luck!
