Thanks Sophie...you made me feel better. I will let you know what the RE said after I talk to them tomorrow.
Fever went down...it is 97.7 now, which is my normal! What a relief...all I could think about was going back to the hospital!

Nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous nervous!

I've woken up today with a horrible feeling about me, I'm just soooooooooo nervous and I feel sick. I think it's because the week has arrived where I'll find out if all is good or all is bad. Oh it's sooooooooooooooooooo hard being us! I work from home Monday to Wednesday and as you can imagine it's not so good when you've got something on your mind, I just can't concentrate.

Jen, I'm glad your temperature's back down, you should check with the doc just in case I reakon. Let us know how you go.

Sophie, your plan sounds like a good one. Maybe I'll put back to testing on Thursday instead of Wed, I'll def not wait til Friday though cos that was just so awful last time.

Have to go and try to work. Hope you're all more relaxed than crazy me.

Hi ladies,

Jules, I am with you on being nervous. This I woke up feeling very nervous, 2 days away is big reason for me being nervous. I too work from home and i just cannot concentrate. I am little worried also because i know some of you ladies thought i was testing really early after my ER. wednesday would be a total of 14 days. :?

Sophie: That really sound like a good plan, would really love to join in with you, but I test wednesday, and since i am already testing earlier than most of you I think I will wait. You are also right about what i said before as it being a win win, it really isn't, like you said if you get a yes you make sure its a real yes after the blood test and if you get a no you may think it wrong anyway. Sounds like i am going crazy (yes) I will try to relax today.

Jen I am glad your temp went back to normal, i had the same as you, but they told me only if it went over 100 i should come in. so sweetie take it easy.

This is the week for most of us, I truly pray that we all get BFP :D we will be all close in our due date  Sending baby dust your way.

Hugs
Tia

Feeling a lot better than this morning although still much more on edge than last week. I've been feeling really queasy today and my tummy really crampy, a bit like AF is coming but it's too early. Oh I hope these are good signs.

Hang in there Tia, only two days to go.

Right ladies, let's make it four out of four this week. Baby dust to all.

Hey sophie,

I was looking at the list on the 2ww i see why you think i am testing early, I had a 5 day transfer and the 13th will be 9day after the 5 day total of 14 days, no biggie since i am 2days away, if you find the time you can fix no rush.

working moms

Post by Literatriz »

Dear all,
I am at work, can't concentrate, we will hear from the donor's response to the stims either today or tomorrow, DH woke up super hopeful which makes me even more nervous. I feel guilty about writing from work but I just can't work anyways. I feel bloated and nervous just like JUL1E...afraid of bleeding which would ruin everything. If we feel crampy (I am just taking the estradiol), does it mean I may loose my lining?

Anyways, I've read the last posting that there are many working moms, sometimes enjoying the fact that they can think of something else, sometimes thinking they can't process all the info coming from work, with so much going on inside their heads! Isn't that true, TransRN?

Quick personals...
PMApsy, good luck with the moving - and the testing! I will be thinking of you in the afternoon
Jenn - let's get busy! Twins? Hey, great! I am not trilled about triplets. How many did you transfer?

Mandeeq. sorry for your negative. Give yourself time to heal...the child you will have in the future will receive all the love you've given to him/her since this attempt.

My2LnT, what is PMA? And baby dust for you on your testing day! Good luck also for Ltaylor and Mommyto be!

Gbnut...your father is one more reason for us all to pray for a BFP...Life comes and go but it is all the same continuum of life...
Jen799, hang in there...ups and downs, the roller coaster of moods. We are a wreck of hormones trying to figure out what to do. Good luck and I hope the ones around you give you all the empathy and support you deserve!

Shantala, nice to read you are trying again! good luck!

Momytobe, thanks for asking about how things are going. My mother in law said that she believes me and DH are crazy trying to have a child at our age (48 and 52) but at the end she said she has never dared to do something in her live and that she wanted the best for us. Of course I felt very emotional about the whole thing. Cramps don't help me at this point...I am dying to hear from the donor. It is her 3rd attempt, the two other women got pregnant and she did not. So please, think of her, too!!!!

Much love to you all,
Literatriz

Hi Literatriz,

I think it such a wonderful thing for you to continue your dream of being a mom, in my opinion age can be a sometimes be factor in the minds of many. I myself got a lot of flack from my friends about me starting a family, they would say things like my eggs are in a wheel chair because they are getting old. I think your child will get a great life because you are more mature, established and possibly have a lot to offer as for as time. My heart goes out to your donor, i can't imagine giving my eggs and not getting pg and the other woman does. That must have been hard for her. I will keep her in my thoughts.

Hugs
Tia

Sooooo...last night, around 12 midnight, I started to run a fever again, but this time it got up to 102.0!!! I WAS FREAKED OUT! I called the emergency number and they connected me to my RE. She said that there was a string of the flu going around and that as long as I wasn't having any other symptoms, just keep taking Tylenol and see her 1st thing in the morning for a CBC and other blood work. So I did that this morning...no fever since last night, but really bad nausea. I thought I was going to throw-up...sorry TMI! I figure either I have a stomach bug or really early morning sickness. I can deal with the nausea, but the fever makes me nervous. I won't know until tomorrow what my labs are...so I guess I just wait!

I definitely feel nervous like you other 2wwaiters! I can't wait to know one way or the other! Sorry I don't have time for personals...I really need to go lie back down and take it easy. Will try later!

Sorry i have been MIA for a few days - our router for our internet connection has stopped working so I can't get online at home.

Just poping in quickly at work to say hi to you all (I'm in an open plan office so I don't really like doing personal stuff while everyone is around).

Sophie - I hope all is going well, your 2ww is almost up - are you getting excited?

I'm hoping to get a new router today or tomorrow so I can get back on line at home, until then I'm thinking of you all and sending heaps of positive vides to you all.

Good evening lovelies,

Well, things were great for me today: my (.)(.) sometimes hurt so much that it was distracting and that bad headache came back in the afternoon, so I was happy about these symptoms... until I changed my pantyliner this afternoon. It had always remained strictly white so far, but this time... there was spotting. Not the real dark brown spotting, but very light brown, like dark ginger. Yeah, TMI, but I don't care. ;) I was very shocked by that but fortunately, I was leaving work, so I took my moodiness outside and sometimes fought tears on my way home.

My DH arrived at the exact same time I walked up the driveway, so I told him right away that something was wrong. I couldn't help it; when he touched my shoulder and told me it could still mean everything is fine, I just lost it. I cried so hard... He was an amazing presence as usual, though, and said many times he understood, which is all I needed. I think he learned a lot from our first cycle, which is great. He suggested me to call the clinic, but I know what they'll say... "You really have to wrap yourself in a bubble of positive thinking, everything is still possible, we had women come in with heavy bleeding thinking they had their menses and they still tested positive and had healthy babies! Keep hoping and we'll see you on the 14th."

I bought a First Response kit on my way home. He doesn't know. Next morning, I'll probably wake up before the alarm clock (having to take that progesterone every morning kind of conditions you after a while), so I'll tiptoe to the bathroom and POAS. I'd have much preferred to wait until Wednesday afternoon as planned, but that strange spotting gave the first big blow to my PMA, and I know now that I'll be vigilant for heavier or darker spotting from now on, so it doesn't matter anymore. Waiting for the beta on Thursday took a much different turn anyway, know what I mean?

But I've still got the cute card ready. I'll test 12 days after ER, so that means 1 or 2 days before AF would be due on a normal cycle for me (I'm 27-28 days). That means the test will be 93% accurate, probably even more so with the first urine of the morning. If it's positive, then DH will have a nice surprise when he wakes up. If not...

I'm nervous.

jen: Wow, that fever really gave you a scare! And that yuck feeling... as you said, let's hope it's a good sign! And if it's just the sign of a stomach flu or just the flu, then it might still be a good sign (pregnancy is immunosuppressant as I told you). I really hope you feel better soon hunny, and that the blood test gives you reassuring news. *HUGS* Keep us posted, I'm thinking of you!

Jul1e: I know, bugger! :) I'm so sorry you woke up with that nervousness! Poor thing, it really sounds painful! Glad you were feeling better this morning, though, but still. Totally get you on the working from home thing. It is 100 times harder to concentrate! I'm SO glad I'm working full time now, because had I been at home today, I'd probably have POAS or ruminated about BFN all day and that would not have been good.

TansRN: Tanya my sweet, sorry you lost your post; I'm sure there were pearls of wisdom in there! :D Thanks for your encouraging words, they are comforting! *hugs* How are you feeling? How is the sleepiness and m/s?

mommytobe: I corrected the mistake on the list; please try to give me the info precisely next time you know something (your beta number, your next scan, and so on... let's assume you'll have a BFP! ;)), because when I have to figure the info by myself sometimes I make mistakes. Sorry to hear that you're nervous sweetie... you'll be the first to do a blood test! It's so exciting, but very scary at the same time. I totally understand. I hope you find many ways to get your mind of it for a little while this evening and tomorrow. *hugs* Hang in there, and I'm thinking of you sweetie! And your friends' comments were rude! Ack! :x

Literatriz: hello dear! Thanks for your good thoughts! I can't wait to hear about the donor's response to the stims! :D No, the cramps don't mean you'll lose your lining hunny; most of the meds we take cause cramping at one point or the other. It's all affecting our hormones, so it's bound to shake things up a little in there. Think of it as your uterus making the nest perfect and comfy for your embies! :D

gbnut: can't wait to hear about your u/s!!! :D Are you nervous?

arizonakiwi: what a pleasure to have news! :D *hugs* Thanks for your positive vibes hunny; I'm thinking of you and I'm looking forward to know how you're doing.

My2LnT: my sweet, it's perfectly normal to be anxious before an ultrasound! That kind of amazing news has to take its time to fully kick in! And u/s are a good way to reassure you and help that BFP kick in even more! I'd be in the same state if I were you. I'd want to SEE! :D I'm thinking of you darling, and I can't wait to hear the news! Take care!

Okay, that's it for me today ladies. Have a great evening! I'll give you news of the HTP as soon as I can.
