Is there a certain amount of follies that should be expected by a certain day. For example I'm going on Wednesday, how many should I be hoping for???

Hi girls, I started stimming on June 5th, but I guess I can still be part of this thread, right???

As you all know from the other threads I am also a nerve wreck due to the small amount of follies, looks like we are all more or less on the same boat here!!!
I just talked to my nurse, she is telling me that there would be no point in increasing my meds right now, it wouldn't change at this point the amount of follies I will have.
Apparently I have 5 nice follies and 2 smaller ones, so hopefully they will all catch up for ER and I can have 7 nice follies..........please GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going tomorrow for another follie check.......will keep you guys posted!!!

Hi Vicky, I just had my first scan today. I had 7 small follies and have stimmed for 4 days. My Estradiol was 129 today. Does anyone know anything about what range they want you to be on a certain day for Estradiol?

Yes, we're all going to be nervous wrecks this week! I was almost in tears this morning because they didn't really give me any clue as to how many follies I had starting to stim. When they called with my blood test result I got the guts up to ask, almost not wanting to know the answer (I thought they saw just one or two), but I am ok with 7, just hope they grow!

Shellbell.....I think there's not a set value of estrogen for a specific day, but of course they don't want to see it too high, since you are still in the hundred's that's ok, I think they start to worry once it hits the thousands....

About being a nerve wreck, I was thinking just now that I would love to be more IVF ignorant and not want to know about number of follies or any of that, because knowing it only makes me more nervous (and I make DH nervous as well

). On my first IVF I didn't even ask for how many follies I had, I just saw a bunch of black spots on the screen and I was happy about that.........oh well, things change I guess.....

I'll keep you guys posted on tomorrow's scan...........wish me luck!!!!!

Thanks to IVFMUM for starting this thread!!! I am SOOO thrilled to be a part of this because ladies... we are ALLL in the same boat.. From what I have been reading we all are having about the same # of follies... 5-8. WOW.... I had my scan today and I know that I am not stupid. I have 6-8 follies.. I know that they might not all have eggs in them.. My RE said that if we could get at least 2 it would be great!! My PMA is going good now thanks to you ladies... I am a still bit weepy though- hormones I guess. IVFMUM.. I am crossing my fingers for you and your scan tomorrow...

Shellbell... when is your tenative retrieval? Kelly? Vicky? Did I miss anybody? My retrieval is Thursday morning at 9:00 US Eastern time. (Six hours difference in the UK? yeah?) I am nervous- I don't know whether we will do a 3 day or 5 day transfer.. Depends says the RE. I do believe in a higher power whatever anyone calls them is no difference to me..... We are all blessed to have the opportunity to go through this. Meditation/prayer helps. I am very blessed to have a neighbor who is a pastor at a church and he and his family have been a rock for me and my husband since we haven't told ANY family members. If it is ok with ya'll I will say a little prayer for your follies to grow to be healthy and happy and that you will have peace in your heart about this process because sometimes it downright SUCKS. For real.

Anyway... I am going to try to go to acupuncture today at 1130- then maybe go get a little sweat pant outfit to wear for the retrieval. Shopping Therapy always helps.. Although I would like a little George Clooney and Brad Pitt Therapy too( Ocean's Thirteen). But I would have to fib to DH about NOT seeing the movie.

Okay before I get completely confused I am going to try to sum up everyone's situation...

Jodi (aka Sleepyfoy) - started stims June 5 (?), scan June 12 (6-8 follies), ER June 14
Vicky - started sims June 5, scan June 11 (6 follies), next scan ??
Shellbell - started June 7, scan June 11 (7 follies), next scan June 14
IVFMum - started stims June 7, next scan June 13
Kelly - started stims June 7, scan June 11 (5 follies), next scan June 14

I hope that I captured everyone correctly. I had to go back over a few threads to try to get the right information but we are all pretty close in our dates and our follicle numbers that I was getting confused! If I got your info wrong please change it!!

When there are updates to our list, copy it, updated it and then paste it into your new message so that we always have current information on everyone!

Sleepyfoy that is great that you have 6-8 follies! We'll be thinking of you on Thursday!!!!
The best thing about this threat is that during our 2ww we'll all be able to commiserate over how horrible it is!!!
