Helllooo

Am back from my fetal anatomy scan. Noggin seems to have passed wtih flying colours. He is measuring a few days small for what he is supposed to be but still within normal limits. It was very nice to see Noggin but he has a habit of sleeping with his face to the sac so can't see the little bugger. After scan DH and the dr had a lengthy nerdy conversation about the scanning equipement which bored me but I left happy...

Angie well done on the scan, great that Dr D could maintain his composure in the midst of such a fantastic result. He is a true professional. Do we have any idea of when the wombat(s) will be nesting??? excellent news on the home front. I hope the tradies (nice aussism) that you have lined up are good ones, we always seem to get ripped off...

Mego I would have got that man in a headlock and made him beg for mercy...what a wanker. And as for office gossip, yes it's most interesting. Secretary advised that she and the colleague did it three times last night....thankfully I was given less detail than on previous occasions. It was quite funny because my boss (who is actually the brother of the bloke that my secretary is bonking) told her this morning that she was "glowing". As far as I know he knows nothing about his brother's antics...

Sass thanks for asking about Noggin, as you can see above the little bloke is fine...geez it's amazing how much these hormones can stuff us up. can't believe your endocrine meltdown. Glad to hear the erruptions have cleared. I'm sure that bracing Icelandic air is helping too!
As far as superstition goes, I'm all for it so banish the cycling ticker and lets see how we go...By the way what's the food like over there. Not that I've ever tried that Nordic type food but it never seemed to appeal, too much in the way of pickled fish type stuff. Loved the old cow/ milk phrase. A girl can't hear that comment enough from her mother. My secretary may have to shut down the milk supply if she wants to get serious....

Jenn, congrats on the rising levels. I used to freak out waiting for those phone calls, could never do any work until the call came (usually in the afternoon), you and your dots are doing fab...when is the first scan???

Vicky, (Mother Hen) good luck today. I'm sure that you are full of eggs waitig to be hatched...let us know asap as to how you go, am crossing my fingers. I will definatley try to get someone to help me scan in a pic of Noggin....

Hello to the other sisters and WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU???

Fee......congrats on seeing Noggin!!!!!!, I am so happy that he passed the test with flying colours!!!, do you think this can give you some peace of mind?, at least for a week or so??. Your secretary's stories are so funny, but I am afraid the poor girl will not end up very well with this bloke (sorry stole your term  )

Meg......so your parents moving accross the street??????, I can picture you guys like "Everybody loves Raymond" (sorry couldn't help to think about that.......). Hope you have a good weekend at your parent's house (maybe last time they are 2 1/2hs away....
Ohhh, and that patient of yours, you should have definitely done something mean to him, like putting some really burning fluid in his eye (ok, that was too much I know  )

Sassy.....great pics!!!, I peeked your blog yesterday evening, it all looks so great!!!. Keep posting more pics!!!

Ange.....so lining great for you huh!!!, that's great news girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Keys of the house next week???? wowwwwwwww, keep us posted on the remodeling!!!!!!!, I love house renovations!!!

Mel......how are you today??????

Well update on Operation Mother Hen......I went for my dildocam encounter today, everything was fine, tons of eggies (around 10 so far apparently, from what I could peek  , but the tech told me it's still early and I will probably have more....yipeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!), the labs results I will have in the afternoon. I also had a physical exam (the famous physical exam that I fought with the nurse about that I didn't want to have... ), took the chance to talk to RE and asked him about our chances, he said that guided by my age and the prior embie quality (that was good) he thinks we still have a chance of 60% of pregnancy, so I am thrilled!!!!!!!

Morning sistas!

So everyone's scans went good! I feel a little left out that I didn't have one!

Meg- what a rude man!!! You never comment on a woman's weight or age!! I thought they all knew that! Your parents are going across the street? My parents have moved 4 times in the last 7 years. Each time was "going to be the last" but it never was. They built the last 2 houses so we had to move them into an apartment, then into the house each time. I told them their next stop is the old folks home! They didn't think that was funny!

How are we doing today Mel???

Last night I went to Bunko and a girl annouced she was pregnant. I think I turned 5 shades of red! I don't know why. The one girl there who knew about me was staring at me wondering if I was going to pipe up. It's just way too early! We laughed all the way home. She said I looked like the cat who swallowed the mouse! Then everyone was asking her questions and talking about it all night. I had to act like I wasn't interested in their questions.

She is 8 wks and hasn't even seen her Dr. yet. Is that how they do it in the real world?? I don't even know how often normal people see their Dr.!!

Ok- going out of town this weekend, must pack and get ready! have a great weekend!
Jenn

Okay, just waiting for my dh to get home from work so we can leave. I swear, he is always late. It drives me crazy. If I say I want to leave at 11:00, we're lucky if we're out the door by noon. He's such a girl!

Anyway, some confusion clarification. My parents are not moving across the street from us. They are moving across the street from their old house (the one I grew up in). I kind of wish they were moving closer to us, but no such luck. Instead, my in-laws are the ones just 5 minutes away. It's just not fair.

Glad to hear everyone had such good scans. Great way to start the weekend!

Ok, this will not be a proper sista post, as I have my friend and dh staring at me waiting to go to dinner... and I HAD to post here! All I can say is that I have stirrup-envy. D*mn I'm sick! congrats to Vicky for a good stimming us, to Noggin for being anatomically correct (although I would slap your perfectly formed hand for looking away from your mama), and to Angie for her good showing (and especially for Dr. D keeping that wand still).

Meg: WHAT? you parents are moving across the street from their old house??? What is the point????? Whatever.

All right... I am off!

As Fee said, Mel.......do you have your results back yet????

Meg....oooooo I'm sorry for the confusion, so they are moving across from their house???, that's weird

Jenn...hope you are having a blaste wherever you went this weekend!!. I can picture you dying to tell everybody the other day and having to keep your mouth shut, you have a lot of self control, I am not sure I would have been able to hold it like you did!!!

Operation Mother Hen report.....I am kind of sad today, I went for my follie check, and they saw 5 on one side and about 2-3 on the other side, yes, I know that for some people that is a lot, but not for me, so I was kind of dissapointed. Because now I think that maybe I won't have enough to freeze and that kills me, oh well, I know I shouldn't complain, but anyway :( . I am also right now feeling that acu is not doing anything for me, I don't feel more relaxed, for sure!!, and I don't see that the cycle is going any better than the first one (that was without acu), as a matter of fact it might be even going worse if I look at it by the number of follies, I don't know, maybe they are great quality, which is what I am hoping for........please sistas, wish me luck, I am kind of sad today

Hope you are all doing great!!!!!

Hey Vicky- sorry you are down! As a low egg producer myself I feel your pain. I only had 3 mature at ER on my first cycle and 6 on the last. But all 6 of the last were good and they were able to freeze 3 on day 5. So even if you have 7, they will be perfect, and you will have some to freeze. I would say try to cheer up, but I know it is hard when you want it to go a certain way and you feel like it's not. You never know, more could show up on the next U/S. When do you go back? Are you on the lupron everyday? After my 1st cycle bombed we tried that for my 2nd and egg production doubled! My Dr. said that was what worked for me. I tend to think your body can react differently to the drugs on any given month.

Well we were at a wedding this weekend. Mel- I think you would have died! People showed up for the brides side in shorts, jeans, barefoot, you name it! I was way overdressed in a sundress and sandals. We waited in line for food for 35 minutes. There was only one line. I think they should have spread the food out at different stations. The bride was outside with her family most of the time. Anyway, it was different to say the least! We were out in the country!

Oh- the best part was when we were all partying back at the hotel and my intoxicated BIL made a comment about my husband "shooting blanks" when someone asked when we would be having kids. I think my SIL gave him a good fixing b/c he apologized later. I wasn't in the room at the time of the comment, but I will be giving him a verbal lashing next time I see him. DH didn't tell me about it until we were in the car halfway home. I think he was trying to save his brother's life.

Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
Jenn

Hi Sisters

just another quickie as I have meeting soon...

Vicky, don't be down about the numbers (although I totally understand wanting to have some left over to freeze). I think Jenn will be our shining example of the quality over quanity principle. Besides, there may very well be other follies lurking that they haven't picked up...happned to me....

As far as having peace of mind after the scan, that lasted about 24 hours. On Saturday I felt this "rush" of liquid. Of course I thought my waters had broken. I phoned the hospital and they told me to watch it for an hour and if it continued to come in. Thankfully it stopped. Apparently there are several explanations for what happened including that I wet myself. What??? No way!!! I'm pretty sure it wasn't that!

Jenn jeez I would have clobbered BIL. In fact if you give me his address I'll come over and beat him with one of my shoes if you like...

Mego, don't get me started on DH's being late. Mine is also chronically late, makes me have raised blood pressure just thinking about it. I have lost count of how many flights we have almost missed thanks to him. I have many memories of sprinting through airports and grovelling to flight officials....

Sass I'm waiting on details of that nordic food....

Angie, do we have another dildo encounter tomorrow??? If so good luck. You're probably enjoying a public holiday today right???

Mel, where are ya? I'm getting worried...

Well I'd better get on with my work. I think I'm going to be busy in the next few months...MIL had her diagnosis of lymphoma confirmed today. She has to start chemo soon (but I think they're checking to see if it has moved into her bone marrow). I am reasearching whether Noggin's cord blood stem cells can help...

Hope you are all well

Fee

Ok- I have a very important question. Well 2 very important questions.

1. Mel- where are you? We are worried. Please let us know what is going on, are you ok?

2. I have an ultrasound tomorrow and I'm wondering are they going to do it dildocam style, or tummy style?? I know this isn't really a big deal compared to a missing person (MEL!!) but I thought it would be tummy and then today my nurse friend said she thinks it will be dildocam. I was kind of thinking I was done with that thing for a while.

Anyway just curious... I think I am going to take a nap. I went to wal- mart and i'm pooped. It is just too hot to go anywhere. Catch ya later!
Jenn

Jenn.....thanks for your support, I really hope I get as lucky as you, in every aspect, from getting a 100% fert report, to being able to freeze, to, of course, getting pg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. About your scan tomorrow, I am almost sure it will be dildocam, it is easier to see things with dildocam in the first weeks of pregnancy than with a belly one. Good luck tomorrow, will be here waiting for your results.......if we can place bets, mine goes for TWINS!!!!

Fee......so peeing yourself now?????? , no really, I am very glad everything is ok, and that was just a good anecdote now!!!!.

Well, the nurse called me, she says I have 5 good size follies and 2 smaller ones, so if you all send me positive vibes I might have 7 nice follies for ER!!!!!!!, I really hope so

Jenn--I agree with Vicky. I'm sure it will be a dildocam. But don't fret--you definitely will be able to see more with the dildocam. I didn't have a stomach one until my 20 week appointment. And honestly, the dildocam is almost more comfortable because with the stomach one you have to have a full bladder. Man, I hate when you have to pee and they won't let you!

Vicky--I'm sending vibes like crazy your way! I'm betting you end up with 10 eggs. I don't know why, but 10 is my bet.

Fee--I can't believe that a fellow sista would pee herself. But I suppose that's better than going into early labor! I've been stressed out the last couple days too---I've been having weird pains. I'm about 99% sure that they are round ligament pains from everything I've read, but still it's scary. And then yesterday was really hot and I was helping my parents move and I think I overdid it a little. And of course she choose then to stop moving. So I was freaked all night. But today she's been just as active as always so I'm feeling much better. I tell you what, I don't know if I'm going to make it through the next 3 months with my sanity! I'm going to be a crazy mom. The poor baby will have to explain to strangers to just ignore her mom because she's a nutso. Hmmm, that was a weird tangent. Sorry about that!

Mel---Hello??????????????

Sassy--Are you back in the States?

To everyone else, a big hello!

Ohhhhh, very important, forgot to mention that yesterday was Sanson's birthday!!!!!, he turned 1 !!!!!. We celebrated on Saturday, we took him to my parents house to swim in the pool (he just absolutely loves swimming) and then we went to my brother's house, he has a big yard, so he ran there the whole afternoon, and finally we had a BBQ with my family and we gave him some meet, so it was a great BD for Sanson!!!! (I know, I am a freak, but he's my furry baby  )

Okay, okay, don't send out the dogs on me, I here, have no fear! Thanks for worrying though!

My results came back benign - YIPPPEEE! So no butt cancer! She did give me 2 medications to take for the yuckiness, but other than that, I am healthy as a horse, which gives me and DH great relief! And she'll see me in 3 months!

Speaking of DH, we have decided to put off our cycle officially for 6 months, we will probably try and cycle in November or December - we just need a mental break or we'll have a breakdown. I know you of all people know what that's like! But I'm not going anywhere! I'll be here to root you all on!!! But now DH and I know what the plan is, we had a heartfelt conversation over dinner, and it was us being 100% honest and not trying to cover up our feelings or hurt each other, just being honest with each other... so that was good.... it was REALLLY good.

Meg-o! Don't push yourself darling! You poor thing!!! YOu need to remember you are pregnant, and that Butterbeana, needs you - NO MORE moving, that's an order!!! What's Round Ligament pains? I hope it's nothing serious???

Jenn - I am sure, almost 100% it'll be a dildocam, but it'll be a way better picture! I am betting it's going to be one strong little one, or two+ babies!!!! I wonder if both of them spilt and you have quad's in you! I am kidding!!!!!!! But still, you are having a babbbbby, or two! Wooo hooo!!! Oh and I thanks for yelling my name, I heard you... and came running... sorry for the delay.... I can't believe the BIL's nerve - I would have slapped him, and not felt the least bit guilty!!! Oh, and SERIOUSLY, shorts - uh, hu! NO WAY JOSE! That is terrible... OMG!!! Did they serve KFC and beer too?

Vicky - Everythings gonna be okay, I promise!!! I'll tell you otherwize if I start to feel otherwize, I promsie!!! If it's 7 eggs and 7 fert, you are good to go, if you have one and one fertilizes and then you get pregnanted... well see, it only takes one insy tinsy egg, and one insy tinsy fish...

Fee- I wonder if Noggin's big Noggin' was restin' on your bladder, and forced a flood? You poor thing, that had to worry you to pieces!!! I am sorry about the official diagnosis.... that is really sad, but I'll pray, pray, pray!!!

Sassy-McSasserson! Where are you?

And Robbo, is she gone for Summer vacay?

I heart you guys!!!
