Post by leahbusani »

:( i had my first IVF cycle. 6 days afte the 2 embryos transfer i saw bleeding ( it was brown) so i was sure its implantation because it also stopped the next day. my fist beta was 11dpt and it was 23.4 then my next beta was 14dpt and it went up to 74.6my doctor was happy even though i started spotting (brown) since that day until now iam still spotting. the worse thing is that now the blood is geting little redish. tomorrow i have my 3rd beta and iam so scared. i take Proesterone through vaginal 2 times a day 100mg each and E2 hormones 4 mg a day. can some one tell me what could all this be :?: :( :?

I bled on and off until about 13 weeks. It was quite disconcerting, but it ended up being nothing. I even had a few times of bright red gushes of blood. Very scary, but nothing. Sometimes you can have a hematoma - a collection of blood near the imlpantation site. It can come out intermittently, and many times it is brown due to the amount of time it takes to make it outside your body. Other times it can be your cervix, which is much more friable during pregnancy and was subject to manipulation during ET. Later, it can be caused by the placenta making a stronghold on your uterine wall. Still other times it can be what happened to me - completely unexplained. Hang in there - about 50% of women have bleeding in the first trimester. As long as your HCG is doubling every 48-72 hours, things look good! I hope for the best for you.

When I was pregnant last time I was on vaginal pregesterone suppositories... I bleed with them. My doctor decided to switch me to progesterone injections and the bleeding stopped. Maybe you could ask your doctor to put you on injections. Good luck and congratulations on your BFP!!!
