Bleeding after the BFP

Hi,
I got my BFP with 2nd IVF cycle. On June 2nd i got my blood work done and my 1st beta was 673 and 2 days later it was 1290 and again after 2 days it was 2233. My RE said everything looks fine as he took US on 3rd beta test. He saw little sac and told to come next thursday to check for heart beat. But, all of a sudden I saw bleeding when I first peed in the monring and I was so scared called the doctor and he did U/S to check the sac. He said he still sees the sac and it was little bigger compared to last time. But again i used to see 4 or 5 little clots of blood when i urinate and i see brown when i wipe it. It's happening like that since yesterday and i do not understand what is going to happen. we got this bfp after3 years of try and this is devasting to us. Did anyone bleed during the early pregnancy and still made it to full term?

I know it's scary but many, many women have some spotting when pregnant. I had the brown when I wiped in early pregnancy and now have two baby boys! My doctor told me only to worry if I saw lots of bright red bleeding. It sounds like what you are seeing is very normal.

I am sure you will see your baby's heartbeat on Thursday!

Bleeding after bfp is not uncommon. Happens in 30% of pregnancies. If you see increase in frequency or red color in stead of brown, usually you are told ( by your doctor) to call their office or go to the ER.

Sarita, I had bleeding for 4 days at the beginning of my pregnancy and am nearly 12 wks - it really is very normal, although I know absolutely petrifying. I remember hyperventilating when I went to the loo I got so stressed. Your numbers look really, really strong I am sure you'll see the heartbeat on Thursday. Perhaps book yourself a pedicure or facial or head massage to try and keep you calm. I also found cookery programmes helped strangely?! My accupuncturist said that 50% of her ivf clients have spotting, it does seem to be more common with ivf, but I also know a number of non-ivf friends who also had spotting all with healthy babies now.

I have a question. I went to acupuncture for my IVF treatment and he said come again until 8 weeks (once a week) if I become pregnant. Is it safe to go to acupuncture when you are early in your pregnancy. My acupuncturist said that it will help for not miscarrying. Did any one go to acupuncture after the BFP.

I also had bleeding at 8 weeks and again at 12 weeks. I went to the hospital both times and they could not find where the bleeding was coming from. I am now 17 weeks pregnant with twins. Hang in there, there are a lot of women who have bleeding in early pregnancy.

I recommending laying with your feet propped up until the bleeding stops. I did this and my bleeding stopped with in 24 hours. Stay off your feet, drink lots of water and stay positive. I know it is hard sweetie! I'll be saying a prayer for you.
