nervous

Post by lola98 »

I am new here but was just reading some posts and thought I would join in. I am 35, DH 37 and we have male factor infertility due to varicoceles. We had them corrected 5/2006 but then developed sperm antibodies. all in all, 4 clomid cycles, 3 follistim IUIs all BFN. Just did first IVF/ICSI. got 24 eggs-13 mature. 12 fertilized. transferred 2 on day 5 with 2 now frozen. my first serum beta was yesterday (14 dpr) and it was positive! (153). Does anyone know what the chances are of m/c? I have my second beta in the am. thanks-

Lola,
Try not to worry (I should take my own advice), your numbers sound good and as long as they are doubling every 2-3 days everything should be fine. I am 6 weeks 6 days after going through IVF and I am a nervous wreck too. We overcome 1 obstacle by getting pg after IVF and you would think the nervousness would go away but it doesn't. I have found reading a book helps me a lot. I can jump into another scene for a while and forget about my issues. I have had 2 miscarriages previously so I am completely panicked this will work, but I am trying to stay calm. I am normally a pretty nervous person to begin with, so this wait is very hard. You can pm me if you want to talk or feel nervous we can try and get through it together. :D
