Has anyone been successful with an IUI cycle after iVF? I was told that my eggs are bad and I have to use donor eggs. But I have a hard time believing that all my eggs are bad. All my tests came back with great results and now they declared me to have unexplained infertility. What is that?
Anyhow, I am thinking of doing IUI with donor sperm to give my ovaried just two more tries.
we have male factor (so opposite) and i had 4 fresh ICSI treatments and 3 frozen cycles all with -ve results...........after much soul searching & on the advice of our clinic we then went to DIUI...which is basically IUI with doner sperm......................i felt really _ve about this as most people do IUI first & then move on to IVF so i fe;t we were going backwards and clutching at strawers...........
anyway.the 2nd attempt was +ve & I am now 13 weeks pregnant.........
i know in my case it was male factor & as far as I am aware i am fine but dont give up hope!! it only takes 1 good egg!!
Can i ask.if it is your eggs they think are the problem why have they suggested doner sperm?? would it be better to try IUI with you partners sperm?
Actually my husband has antisperm antibodies and low sperm count so we went straight for IVF with ICSI to try to have our children. But since IVF was hard and I miscarried, I wanted to try another option before moving on to donor eggs. So I thought IUI with donor sperm may be a try and then move onto something else.
My counselor said that I was in denial about my egg quality and I should really trust my doctors. But I still want to give my eggs another shot. There are women out there that try IVF many times even after they miscarry and I don't understand why I have to stop after one try. Is my situation really that bad? I just don't understand, perhaps i am just hormonal. Congrats on the pregnancy! I am glad to hear that IUI may work. Gotta get my tubes checked out first. Hoping and praying they are open.
