calculating due date w IVF

Post by eristrawberry »

does anybody know how to calculate your due date when you've used IVF? using online calculators i would already be 3weeks plus 4 days pregnant (assuming i'm pregnant) but have just had my Egg retreival June 2nd, and transfer June 5th. This seems odd. i would have assumed day 1 of pregnancy would be transfer date (or about then)?
anybody know?

thanks,
erica

I think there is a pregnancy calculator on the left side here on the message board that can calculate it for you!

To caculate, they still go by LMP. As of your transfer you are 2 weeks pg, if you get a BFP. By the time you have your 2ww you are already 1 month. It seems weird, but that is the way they do it. Which is good, because you already have 4 weeks down. I hope that helps.

For most offices, your egg retrieval date counts as your ovulation date. Since the time from LMP to ER varies widely, ER is the best date to use. This spreadsheet can be helpful for all different scenarios, BUT a word of caution: I would not count on it at ALL for predicting HCG levels. They are all over the map and can be very misleading. I had very low HCG in the beginning, and everything was just fine.
