Jenn- I aggree with Meg, I think that we infertiles put up this protective shield praying to get pregnant by any means possible, and when we do, things have literally sucked for so long, between just plain sucking and sucking the life out of us, that this shield helps protect us from the massive disappointment of low fert reports, or BFN's - that when something good happens we get happy, but not so much that if we have a bad day or something terrible happens that we don't have that fall back of "well I was expecting the worse and praying for the best" so just remember that you are freakin' pregnant! YOU ARE FREAKIN' PREGNANT!!!! Shout if from the rooftops! (but be careful up there, because if you trip, you'll be hurting not just yourself, but that baby too!)

Angie!!! Good luck with the FET!!!! I am so excited for you!

Vicky!!!! Todays your day, you'll have a great ER today, I know it!

Fee- Get some rest, you sound like I feel!

Did I forget to tell you guys that we are getting a puppy? I could have sworn I told you??? But anyway, just for Angie, we are getting a puppy! A baby Whiskey! A Brittany Spaniel, we are probably getting a girl, and naming her Bellini! 8) I am so excited!!! She'll be ready on the 4th of July! We'll seeeeee! Just what I need..... a puppy!

Love to you all!!

Kisses and Hugs, and all that Jazz!

Mel

Hi Melissa

Post by 2ndtimer »

I don't mean to butt in on you ladies thread. I started looking because the name(sisterhood of blue stilletoes) caught my eye, then before you know it I'm looking at the most beautiful group of Brittany puppies! I couldn't resist, I had to write.
My Brittany, Tilley, is currently lying here at my feet. She is our baby and has truly saved our sanity through all this infertility crap. Brittany's can be a real hand full, but if you have a sense of humor & patience they can also bring a lot of happiness into your lives. Everytime we have a procedure come up BFN I'm tempted to get another one!
Take care,
2nd timer :D

Hey 2ndtimer! Thanks for stopping by!

We have a Brittany now, his name is Whiskey, but Whiskey needs a friend, and Mommy (that's me...) needs a baby... furry or otherwize! :? Love him!!!! He's the best dog we've ever had!

Feel free to butt in at anytime! We aren't a cycle thread, more along the lines of a group of ladies that like to rant, vent and rave often, and know that we can be totally honest with each other about our feelings, lows, highs... etc.

Send Whiskey's love to Tilly!

Mel

PS- those puppies are pretty freakin' adorable, huh!

I know you've heard this a million times, but it only takes ONE! One good egg, and one good Sperm and you are golden and all knocked up!

So we just pray for a great fert report, and you'll be fine!

One great fert is all we need!!!!

Ange.....congratulations on your FET!!!!!, keep up the pampering, a DVD sounds great!!!.

Jenn....congratulations on seeing your little bean on the scan!!!. And don't feel bad for not being excited yet, it is very very normal. As Mel well said, we IVF'ers put on a very protective shield so that we don't gut hurt by not being pregnant, so when we do get pregnant it takes a while until that shield is finally destroyed!, give yourself some time, it will soon sink in

Mel......those puppies are adorable!!!!!. I loved both the one you liked and the one your DH liked.....why not get both!!!! , loved the name Bellini. BTW, Thanks for your enormous support!!, I hope you are right and they duplicate and I end up getting sextuplets........well, I guess it would be too much  , with twins I would be more than happy!!!

Meg......thanks for being so positive, I hope your positive vibes reaches my embies

2ndtimer.....welcome to this thread, you are more than welcome to write here whenever you want, we love it when more sistas join!!!!! , I also have a dog, his name is Sanson, everybody knows him here, and let me tell you he also saved my sanitiy during all this rollercoaster!!

Sassy.....are you back yet?, I think you said you were going camping or something like that with the girls from the church group???.....hope you are having a fab time!!!!!

Fee.....how's Noggin doing?. You must have a nice baby belly already, right??

Robbo and Patie.....where are you????, Mel I think you need to send the dogs out to look for them!!!

Well, I will be getting my "fart report" around 11am tomorrow, do you think I'll be able to sleep tonight???, I really hope those 3 eggies fall in love with my DH's swimmers so they all fertilize  ......I know, PMA PMA PMA!!!!!

ok, here goes my update. Only one embie fertilized.......I can't tell you how dissapointed I am with this cycle, I don't understand what happened. The last time, with the same amount of stim I responded beautifully and this time is as if my ovaries were sooo lazy, don't know. I only hope that this only embie is very strong and want to attach to mommy.......

Hi Vicky, I am sorry your cycle didn't go the way you expected but you still have one stong embie there so concentrate all your energies on this one. When do you transfer? Am looking forward to sharing 2 ww with you and if it helps, larger numbers of eggs doesn't necessarily mean certain BFP. Let's try and stay positve together.

Well I've been away from the boards for a couple of days and come back to see all these cute pups. I will look up Brittany spaniels to see what they look like when grown. 4th July - how exciting Mel - and 2nd timer - I love what you say about your dog keeping your sane through all this. DH and I are well over due for getting a pet - I can't wait! Will still be a couple of months though - when we move into the new house.

FET went well on Friday - 2 wombats now on board. 2 day wombats - 7 cell and 3-4 I think - don't know if that's good, bad or indifferent but not going to let it worry me. I feel fine and have been keeping busy - haven't been thinking about it much. Very different to the last times when I obsessed more. trying to practise relaxation techniques and keep the zen. Test 1 week on Friday.

Hope camping was good Sassy, it's cold and wet here today - your turn to enjoy the warm weather while the aussies shiver!

Bye for now.

Okay ladies, I am finally back :)
It took me a few days to read all your posts since I was gone. this is definately a busy thread.
Well, let me catch everyone up on my cycle. They ended up retrieving 17 eggs. WOW!!! I was shocked as dr. said due to my active endo he didn't think I would respond as well to the meds this cycle. (I did better). Only 8 of the follies fertilized, but that was okay. they transfered 2, froze 3, and were keeping an eye on the other 3.
Had transfer on Friday June 15. Transfer was a little difficult as they discovered I had a polyp on the cervical entrance. But they did manage to get those embies in. I left the office and headed home immediately (office is 360 miles from home). About 4 hours into the drive I started cramping horribly...thinking it was worse than childbirth. This lasted for over 30 minutes Finally called the dr. and they said it was normal, just take 2 tylenol. any advice...is this normal?
anyway, had bad diahrea (TMI), so maybe I was cramping from that. I am worried though that my body rejected m two little embies. I am very bloated (is that normal?), I look about 3 months pregnant. Am much more worried with this cycle than the last one.
Will do pregnancy test on June 27...wondering when I can do a HPT...did my HCG on the 10th.

I promise I will do personals tomorrow. Gotta head to bed...dh just left to go that way...can't let him fall asleep first as he snores so bad, that I will never get to sleep.

Thanks ladies for being concerned about where I was.
