Starting 1st IVF Tuesday 19th June-

High. Second time I am posting a message. This Tuesday I am starting my 1st IVF cycle. Anybody starting about the same time?
Thought it would be nice to talk with someone who experiences IVF the same time as me.

Where are you in your cycle? Have you started suppression yet or stim? I'm on Day 6 of stim and will (hopefully) have retrieval on Wednesday. I'm probably a little further ahead of you, but would love to help you if I can. Good luck with everything!

Thank you very much for your reply. Note that I have a little difficulty understanding everything, as English is not my mother language and also this is my first IVF cycle. So, I believe I am starting suppression. I haven't got my period yet. When it comes, the doctors will see if I will begin the Menopur injections (aren't they the "stim" ones?), as I suffer from PCOS and we are afrain overstimulation. The past two years facing infertility have been a real nightmare to me. I have actually been hospitalised with nervous breakdown (my arms and legs had actally been paralized!!) and everyone tells me that I overreact. All my close friend keep having babies with no problem and I feel realy alone. This communication with all you guys is really helping me. Thanks again for your reply and I am wishing you the very best. I will be happy to speak with you again.

Hi Alex

It's also my first time. I started my 1st IVF last June 17...My meds are Gonal F and cetrotide..I'm due to have my retrieval on the 28 June. Have 9 eggs..6 in my R Ovary and 3 on my L Ovary. I had my doctors appointment today and I have my last injection before my retrieval. So far I'm responding very good to the medications. I always see my doctor every other day so I'm being monitored closely. I feel bloated right now and soreness because of the injections. I'm feeling scared and at the same time excited. I wish you all the luck in the world.
You are ahead of me. My protocol is the long one. That means that I have started suppression shots, I am waiting for my period to come (I don't know when, though. I am on my 28th day of my cycle, but my period is always late). When my period finally comes, I will do the first ultrasound to see if my ovaries are suppressed enough and if all is ok, I will begin Menopur shots (stimulation). So, all I can do is wait!!

I will be going in tomorrow Weds for my er after doing a flare protocol. I started in Feb (was canceled for poor response) but 1st time er suppressed ovulation so much i did not have a period for 2 months. Had to take meds to bring on period

I have only about 6 follicles and he expects to get 2-4. Please say prayers for me and my best to everyone. Is it the case all over the country that no one makes eye contact in their er's office? I mean everyone is going thru the same thing and seems like everyone in there is stone faced it always strikes me as odd....

I started my IVF cycle on June 21st with the baby pills.
I expect to start the stimulation arround July 7th. This time it is gonna be longer than it was before.

alexprafti try to relax. It is a very important period for you and you don't want to fail because of extra emotions. I know it is easy to say, but it helps, trust me. Stay at home, read books, go to walk, DO NOT worry about anything and anybody during that time.
