Hi ladies:
I am just back from 5 days in NYC. I see I didnt miss too much, and glad to see everyone is doing well. I was thinking about you all when I was gone.
My RE is on vacation this week. I am going in for a prog test on wed to see if I am ready to come off it. I am going to call and see if someone can just give me a quick scan to make sure everything is ok. I have been cramping a lot over the past few days. No bleed though. Waiting another week until my RE wanted to see me seems like decades away:(
Anybody else cramping? I cramp pretty much all the time but they intesified a bit this weekend, maybe it was all the traveling.
Noodle- happy belated birthday. glad you got your birthday wish this year

I just got back from the perinatologist appointment and she was wonderful. Her ultrasound machine was hooked up to a large flat screen TV monitor so I could see what was going on. She did a great job answering my questions and making me feel at peace about things. She said that everything else looked good. Baby A is measuring 8W5D with a heartbeat of 176 and Baby B is measureing 8W1D with a heartbeat of 165 I am actually 8W2D so this is pretty good. It was so neat to see how much they have grown in just one weeks time. Unreal. I am so thrilled that things are looking good. I feel better now. Now I do not have another appointment for anything until July 17th. Why does that seem like forever away? Anyhow, thats OK I will make it. One day at a time. I will go in for my anatomy scan on Aug. 27th when I am 18 weeks. I am still having that burning, pulling feeling and she said that it was because of my previous C-sections-the scar tissue stretching. She said that this should only improve. Just a sidenote....no vag u/s today!!! I was able to have the abdominal one-MUCH BETTER!!!!
Noodle
Your stats look good. I am glad that you will be able to breathe now. That is a good sign!!! Congratulations!

Glad that you are back. Girl I am not surprised that you are cramping with all them babies in there! Holy Cow! I think that it would be more weird for you if you didnt!!! I mean I can't imagine how fast your uterus has to stretch to accommodate all four babies!!!! Amazing!!!
Steph
How did your appointment go today???

TansRN - that's great that you saw such a clear image and the babies are measuring almost exactly to date. You probably aren't as crazy as me, but the doppler that I rented has given me some piece of mind. I thinks it's more difficult with twins to distinguish b/w the two beats, but you could at least locate them and hear them whenever. Just a thought.
Wannabeone
I am thinking about getting the doppler. I got one last summer and it was the bomb and now I have a long time in between appointments so I will be needing some reassurance as well at some point between now and then. It is a good idea and I was wondering about distinguishing betweent the two hearts....interesting. Looking forward to getting one soon.
Malinka
My OB sent me to the peri. They sent me there for a variety of reasons....on synthroid, on BP meds, Had m/c last summer....etc. They asked me if I wanted to have a consult and i was like heck yeah! I really liked her and I am glad that I went. I will have an extensive ultrasound in 10 weeks. She said they count the fingers and toes even!!! Interesting....If you have other complications I would just ask to be able to see one.

WOW thanks for all the great responses...we are very happy needless to say.
TansRN- nice stats...everything is moving along for us all. The extensive US sounds way cool...godd luck
Wannabeone- the dopler is a good idea, how much to rent?
Malinka- I'm lucky so many good hospitals close to my house, so I really focused on the doctor and will take whatever hopital they are affiliated with.
Has everyone decided to find out girl or boy? thought about breatfeeding? a birthing plan? All too early????

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to join in for Jan 08, we are 9 weeks pregnant after having our 2nd go at IVF with ICSI this time around. Still can't quite believe it and when we had our scan at 7 weeks we have twins, which i still can't get over.
Have my first appointment with midwife tomorrow, getting a little nervous of what to expect.
My symptoms seem to of subsided a little too which has been worrying me, since i stopped the pessaries, sickness has been slight incomparrison, but i am still very very hungary all the time, skin terrible and engery levels zapped, so i hope these are all good signs and i'm worring over nothing.
Good luck to you all over the next few months, January will be here before we know it.
Take care
Emma xx
I went to see another doctor today, and he was very nice. Gave me a referal to perinatogist on his own ( i didnt' ask). He said everything looks fine, it's just a precation because of the twins. That's what i needed, a caring OB, lol nothing else. And the hospital is better as well. So I am relieved!
I hope everyone is doing great!
Emma welcome abord:) Congradulations on your twins!
Glad you are all doing well. I'm just checking in to let you know that my poor Dad passed away on Sunday night. His funeral is this Friday in NH. It's a very hard time for all of us. We will have our First Trimester Screening Ultrasound on Thurs morning. Hopefully we'll be able to tell the sex of the baby if not - then we have to wait until August 9th to find out.
I wish everyone the very best. I'll check in again soon. Take Care!
Christine

Christine I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope all goes well with your appt.
Question for anyone and everyone I guess..... I had a cone biospy a little over a year ago. They said that if I got preggy I would have to have cervix sewn shut. Have any of you heard of this, know anyone that has it done, or had it done without bedrest or even with and made it all the way to 9 months?
