Em- I am so glad to hear that the boys have graduated to the "almost ready to go home" section of the NICU! You must be so happy. Don't feel bad if you have to go to formula. My boys are mostly on formula and they are doing fine. At my mothers of twins club, it seems that most moms of twins don't last long breastfeeding even if they do have a good supply. It is simply too exhausting.

I looked at their pictures on photobucket and they are SO cute! I am going to post their pictures here for you, so everyone can see them.

Carolyn- Thank you so much for stopping by. I have everything crossed that this cycle will bring you your BFP!

Hi gals....

I can't even begin to catch up with all of you, but I wanted to stop in!

Em, your little fellas are adorable, and I'm so glad they have progressed out of the ICU! That's fabulous news! Yours were born with great weights...they were born about a week earlier than mine and weighed about the same. You did a fabulous job!!!! Good luck with the feeding. I am trying to do the breastfeeding thing. It's going pretty well so far, and both my kids like to eat, so I'm pretty lucky. I just hope they don't take too much to the bottle and refuse the breast....

Laura--I'm glad to hear your boys are doing well! I'll pray for your little one's heart murmur. At least they found it early, that will probably help the doctors treat it better, right?

I hope everyone else is well! I'll post photos once we're home! I should be discharged tomorrow, but ellie and braeden might have to spend an extra day or so until they consistently gain weight. So, we'll have to take it day by day. Our hospital does have extra "guest rooms", so at least we'll be able to stay here to feed. We're very lucky in that respect!

Well, I'm off to rest. I have about an hour and a half until the next feeding!

Hi all

WE HAVE OUR BABIES!!!!!!!!

Harry Bede 5lb 15oz and Brontë Mathilda 4lb 12oz were born on the 14th June at 7.35pm and 7.36pm - Buckeyegal beat us by a few hours.

This is the same day as my exam

Was not feeling well the night before but seemed better in the morning. Started to feel unwell early afternoon so went to the doctors who sent me to the hospital and a few hours later the abies were born. Apparently Toxemia was identified.

Brontë and I came home today and Harry is in intensive care after some breathing problems. He will be there for a few more days. Both babies had an APAR score of 9! Harry started slipping about an hour later so they transfered him to SCN.

I will post a few photos of them on photobucket in the next few minutes.

Glad all is over and done with - well almost. Brontë is breast feeding but is very sluggish as she is so small. I have not even tried with Harry yet.

Hope all babies are doing well and Kholtan your time will go quicker than you think :D

Cheers Di

Diane- Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you. Wow, we have had a lot of babies here recently! It is great that Brontë was able to come home with you, especially since she is was little. I know how hard it is to have one baby at home and one in the hospital. It is so hard to divide your time. Hopefully he will be able to come home soon.

I looked on photobucket and they are absolutely beautiful babies!

hey gals,

not much time, as I am trying so hard to deal with the difficulties of breast feeding. my milk came in last night, and dh and i got NO sleep....as the babies weren't feeding off my engorged boobs. my mom came today and things are better.

we did come home from the hospital yesterday. both babies are gaining weight and looking good. no jaundice issues yet.

Di--congrats!!!! that's so funny we delivered on the same day! I hope both your babes are home with you soon. I can't imagine having to leave one of mine at the hospital, but you do know that he will receive the best treatment there.

hope all the rest of you gals are well! I wish I had more time to write. but all i seem to do is eat, feed, sleep. repeat. (thank god dh and mom are here for diaper duty!)

i will post pics eventually. we just got a new camera.

CONGRATULATIONS DI!!!!!!
What a great few weeks for babies! I'm so happy that everything is going so well for you and the babies! One of each as well!!! Your little man will hopefully be home very soon. I know you are dedicated to breastfeeding also so I hope it goes well. Were you doing cloth diapers as well? I have mine all ready but am looking forward to someone else giving me the report on trying it with twins. Keep us as posted as you can and I am jsut thrilled for you!!!

Is photobucket a member place? Do I need a password?

Kim~ Glad things are going great. The babies sound good and healthy and the routine sounds exhausting! :D I hope the breastfeeding gets easier. I'm so anxious to hear tips from you new mommies on that! Write when you can!

What a great few weeks around here! :D

Funny story. . . The other day I decided to treat myself to a decaf coffee so I stopped at Starbucks. I go about every 3-4 weeks and just enjoy the simplicity of smelling coffee. Well, after I ordered my drink a lady walks up and says "Are you supose to drink coffee while pregnant!" She was so snotty about it. I looked over and said " I don't think my small decaf coffee will harm them." What I should have said is "I'm not pregnant?" and made her feel stupid instead of me! People will say anything to a pregnant person won't they!!!

I better go get ready to serve my jury duty today. Never had to do it before so I hope I don't get a case that goes on for weeks.
Have a great day everyone!!!!

Take care~

Hi all,

I just wanted to congratulate all the new mums. I can't believe how quick time has passed and now you are all cuddling your little twins.
I had a look on the photobucket and boy are they all so cute.

I can't wait until my 2 arrive. I am 23 weeks now and they are so active..kick..kick all the time. I know this might sound weird but I am so much in love with them already. I talk to them all day long and ask their opinion on things I do and buy...yes I am crazy but they kick me back like they acknowledge..ok that's me believing that's what they're doing.

We have had so much sad things happen to us over the last few years..obviously 5 IVF's and various miscarriages and my DH's father dying last xmas. My mum is so very poorly now and had a heart attack on the 1st of June as a result of catching septicemia in hospital. Because they didn't know she had it, she went into septic shock which caused a heart attack, pneumonia and kidney failure. Somehow she survived it but the doc thinks she's only got weeks to live because she is so weak..only 6 stone at the moment (84lbs). I think I am doing well and facing up to the fact that she had a very happy long life (she's 86, had me at 48). I have travelled 3 times to be with her and she loves touching my belly and talking to the babies..maybe wishful thinking, she will hang on in there for them, but I doubt it. She knew how much I wanted a child and I know she will die happy knowing I was blessed with 2 little darlings.

Love to everyone and I'll keep popping in to see how you are all doing.

Lisa~
Hey dear!!! Glad to hear you and the babies are doing well! We are just days apart so it's fun to hear what you are doing and how you are feeling. I'm so sorry your mum isn't doing well. She must be happy knowing that you are finally going to realize your dream of being a mom yourself. I'm sure she gets comfort from feeling your nurturing spirit and knowing you'll pass that on. She sounds like a fighter so I will keep her in my prayers ot hang on for the little ones.
It's so funny you talk to the babies. We find ourselves doing it as well. I can tell that they interact with one another now as well. One will be awake and kicking the other and then minutes later the other one will start kicking back. It's sweet to feel them acknowledge each other.
Best of luck to you and your family. We are all here for you if you need us. Take care~

hi gals....

I PROMISE to post pics of Braeden and Ellie very soon. We got a new camera before their arrival, and I'm an idiot with the software that goes on our computer, so DH will figure it out for me. I hope to post by the end of the week!

Welcome to all the new members....enjoy your pregnancy! IT is such fun!

We're on our 3rd day home now. Things are a little better, but still very hectic. Thank GOD for my mom. She's been staying with us, helping with cooking, cleaning, feedings, etc.

For you moms who are breastfeeding...are you on a schedule yet? My hospital really wants the twins on a 3 hour feeding schedule, yet, the babies seem to be stressed by the schedule. Today, I decided to let them wake when they were hungry, which they seem to like better, but I'm afraid they are not getting enough to eat. We are breast feeding and supplementing with formula so we can get their weight up. any advice gals? Laura, I believe you were bfing, do you have any words of wisdom?

I'd love to post personals, but time is PRECIOUS right now...I'm thinking of you all often.
