HPT should or should not

Dear ladies,

My Beta will be on 6/26 (next Tue). I really want to try HPT. I try to conceive for more than 3 years and failed all of 6 IUIs and this is my 1st IVF ( 3 days transfer). Believe it or not I tried nearly 80 HPTs most of them are the cheap one and have never seen a positive except 1 times I used it after HCG shot - lol- to test it ! In the last 2 IUIs I didnt' mind to try HPT but I have a big hope this time so I want to try it this Sat. Do you think I should try it ? with name of HPT ? I live near Wal mart, CVS, Walgreen. How about EPT ?

I had a 3 day embryo transfer done on May 27th. My test day was for June 11th. I tested with a hpt on the 8th and there was a faint line. I didn't believe it until my bloodwork anyway! but it did take the edge off the wait. The one I used was Clear Blue Easy.

so the day I intend to try hpt is 3 days earlier than the beta test like you ? I hope I have the same result like you

I think it depends how far past retrieval your beta is done. I think HPTs are reasonably accurate by 14-15 days post retrieval. I've seen some betas on here done 14 days past retrieval if that is your case I think you would very likely be testing too early.

I did get a faint positive 8dp5dt to 13 dpr. However it was 2 days later before it was clear. By that time many people have already done their beta, but mine was scheduled for 14dp5dt or 19 days post retrieval.

My Beta test schedule 15d post retrievel, it means 12dpt and I want to test on 12d post retrival ? is it OK ?

Hey tuna,

If you really want to test, just go ahead and do it. I know with my pregnancy that i miscarried, I tested three days prior to my period being due, and it came back positive. There is a chance, but don't get discouraged if you get a neg. Beacuse you could still be preganant.

I will do it and tell you the result. I feel fine now except for the heavy feeling in my lower abdominal and bloating. I start to worry " is it a bad sign" ? I mean no strange sign ?? actually, in the past, when I was on IUIs I had a lots of signs and now I know that's because of progesteron. However, now I am still in Progesterone but i feel fine. Maybe this time I don't do anything just laying bed and walk around my house??!

I am waiting for my beta results and should have them back in about two hours. I couldn't wait and did an hpt that came back begative. I know this doesn't mean anything. My transfer was on the 11th so it might be too early. I sure could use some responses from someone this has happened to. For the past three days I have felt like I am going to stat my period. I lost my breast tenderness and I have had a little bit of brown spotting.
