spotting after hpt BFP

Post by tuna72 »

Dear ladies,

I have 3 BFP with hpt since the past 2 days and the lines are darker by day. However, this morning around 4 am, I went to bathroom and when I wiped I saw blood, not to much but I had to wipe 3 times to clean them all. This morning, no red color but a little brown color everytime when I go to bathroom. I called my nurse but she has not called back yet. I feel very nervous and worry now. this is my first time to see a BFP so I don't have any experience about that.

My blood test will be tomorrow, today is my 11dp3dt. Any idea ? please help me out

thank you and good luck to all of you

Hello tuna - although easier said than done, please try to relax. I had my 1st IVF last year which resulted in a beautiful baby girl. I had numerous occasions with spotting (both red and brown). I ended up in the emergency room on two differernt occasions with very heavy bleeding (clots and all). All of this happened within the 1st trimester. I spotted brown for the first 3 months of my pregnancy. Although it was EXTREMELY nerve racking, I did go full term and delivered my little baby girl. So, try to keep your spririts up!!!

I am on my 2nd IVF cycle trying to have another baby and went for my pregnancy test this morning - I am anxiously waiting for the phone to ring.

Good luck to you and keep me posted.

By the way, the doctors never gave me a good explanation as to why I was bleeding so much with the last pregnancy. I guess what I am trying to say is that even though you are spotting a little, doesn't mean it is something bad.

Good luck to you,
Kris

And thank you very much for your support and tell me about your experience. My nurse just call me, she says it's OK to have spotting like that and I should not worry , the important thing now that I don't forget the progesterone suppository ! I feel better now but ofcourse still nervouse. You know my feeling now Kris !!!

I can't wait to hear your result to, please update !!! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU

Hang in there Tuna - you are describing a lot of what I went through and I am proof that it will turn out good. I would take it easy today and try to keep positive thoughts. I know that is easier said than done, but try your best. I was very scared last year and had many scary moments for the first three months. I found out a lot of woman (not going thru fertility issues) also experience the same thing. There are positive stories out there, so please hold your hope on my experience and tell yourself that you and the little one are going to be ok.

Keep me posted!!

Thank you Kris ! i try to be positive but .... the blood came out in dark, red blood, some clots. Maybe because I stay in bed most of the time, so it just comes out when I stand up and stop and again - 3 times -

Kris, did you have RED BLOOD or only brown, pink color on your 1st pregnancy ? How much was that ? thank you very much for you support

Hi Kris,

I'm so confused now so I didn't remember what I read on your post about red bleeding . I have another question ? when did the first time you saw it ? today is my due day to have period.

Tuna,
I am on the exact same cycle you are! I find out tomorrow. All my hpt have been positive (getting darker everyday) but this morning I started spotting. I know what you are going through. Please let me know what you hear!

Hi wattjil

It's not spotting anymore . It's bleeding like I'm having my period !! My nurse told me that I should not too worry because many women had simptom like me still have full term pregnancy. Now I think only have 1% chance to get pregnant this time !!

If you are only spotting so don't worry too much, it happens a lot - around 30% pregnancy -

Keep in touch and I will inform you guys about the result tomorrow

Tuna - I starting bleeding around the same time that my period was due and it was bright red. It didn't turn brown until a week or so later. It then stayed brown for several weeks. It does make sense that you feel the clots when you stand after laying for a while. The same thing happened to me. The clots were rather large in the beginning too (about the size of a quarter or larger). At one point (on one of my hospital visits), the clots were the size of a golfball/baseball. I know it is so scary and the waiting is the hardest part!!! I feel your anxiety because I've been there. Stay positive, everything will be fine. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Keep me posted!!!

Much baby dust to you!!!!!

Thank you so much everyone ! I am going to clinic for blood test . I don't take any hpt this morning. I think it's done because of heavy bleeding, but I am still hoping even a slim chance
I will post my result . Good luck everyone

I can't wait anymore so I called my nurse. She told me she just got the result but Doctor has not reviewed yet. It's Positive but the number is low - 54.6 - they expect it's higher than 100. She will call me back after doctor reviews it. What do you guys think ?

I didnt' take any hpt this morning , maybe I try tomorrow to compare it. I know the chance is slim but I am still hoping

Hi Tuna - glad to hear you have the positive result. There is another thread that I've been reading that I think will make you feel better. It states numerous stories of people with lower levels that resulted in full term babies. Try to read through it. The title is Anyone with a low beta go on to have a viable pregnancy?

Best of luck with everything and keep us posted.
