We just found out our third try worked!!! (on my birthday no less )
When we got the call our doctor said her levels were high (i was so fricken nervous and freaking out at the concept of actually finally being a parent that I didnt ask) and the nurse called after and said my wifes levels were 207 and that may mean more than one. When my wife told her accupuncturist (which i recomend highly btw) she said that at 207 its probably a single but a very strong one. I have been looking at the site and I thought it was FSH levels but it cant be from the numbers I am seeing. We have our first sonogram on 7/10...does anyone know what these numbers are and what they mean??? - i also just joined the site btw
Congratulations on your BFP! We all understand what you are feeling right now. I remember when the nurse called with our results, I didn't hear anything she said after "I have good news"! There are so many questions that you will come up with.
I too wanted to understand how my levels compared to others. In posting my question somewhere on this site I was directed to a website that I found very helpful (you will see it mentioned on several threads here I think). Go to: www.betabase.info Keeping in mind that the date of the egg retrieval is the date that they use as her ovulation day.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
What great news for you and your wife. Also, welcome to the other side! This is a great place to get all your questions answered. The women, and men, are of great support on here.
I believe you are asking about your beta number. That would have been from her blood draw about 2 weeks after the transfer correct? These numbers can really range so don't read too much into it. My beta was only 62 and I'm pg w/ twins but others have had them in the high hundreds and had singletons. No matter what, it all means you are going to be a Dad!!!!!! You'll find out at your first u/s if it's one or more so just relax and enjoy the next 8 months. It's such a great time!!!
Congrats to you and your wife!

Congrats! Don't get hung up on the BHCG # and just enjoy the positive result! Any level above 50 has a high probability of being a viable pregnancy. My BHCG we well above 200 in both of my IVF pregnancies and for each one I only had one baby. Best wishes!
Everything I read also said numbers do mean very little (unless they are too low.)
Some places say it is a slight indicator, but you can only tell from the ultrasound. My beta was 735 with a singleton but done a couple of days later than many I see posted.
Congrats with you and your wife. It's amazing feeling to hear a good news. I also have high HCG level and yesterday we have our first u/s and it was confirmed that I'm pregnant with one baby we saw one strong heartbet. We did FET and we transferred 2 day-6 blasts. Here are my HCG levels:
9dpt - 300
11dpt - 692
15dpt - 5,525
