Hi Ladies!! Sorry I have not posted in foreeeeever. I just wanted to say HELLO! I lurk every once in awhile to see how you all are and I'm very happy to see all the the new BFPs, Congratulations! Also I'm always hoping that the rest of you get your little blessings very soon. I don't have much time to post these days, we are moving to a new house this week. Seems to take me forever to pack 1 box, I gotta rest every 2 minutes. I'm probably just out of shape (keep exercising ladies, it helps). I'm looking forward to settling in and nesting. My body is sooo ready for it. I never really realized I would be forced to walk so funny. Don't even ask what getting out of bed is like.

Take care everyone! Sticky baby dust! xxx/ooo

Morning/Evening Ladies,

Hi Mia - great to read you - glad all is going well.

Good news on Scans for sistas Jenn and Fee - well done you both. Agree with you Fee on the C-section - none of this badge of honour stuff giving birth naturally business - if you need a C, you need C . As long as he arrrives safely that 's all that matters.

Vicky, Robbo - the wait is almost over for us. How you doing? No more spotty stuff for me thankfully. I think this is the longest I have ever got in 4 X 2ww without the onset of AF. However, I am on 800mg of Progesterone daily (double last time I did FET) so clinic said I really should not bleed. SO not reading anything into it. Also feel slightly nauseous (Nerves!) and a little crampy/tuggy feelings down below. So there's my sympton update!

Mel and Sassy - sounds like you are entering a bake off competition together - or a pie off should I say. I hope you are not going to describe them all like last time - it got me salivating at the mouth and I had to keep going to the cafe downstairs to buy muffins. I think it was the lemon pie with nutty crust that got me last time. Send some over and I'll do a taste test for you!

Today will be interesting at work as I have a meeting with my boss about my trip to USA and Canada and will probably get the approval to book my flights. Either way it's going to be a big week for me....!

Until tomorrow sistas. Hi Meggo too. Where are Wanna, Amy and Patie I wonder? Helloooo - are you out there sistas?

Hello Ladies

Well I'm bored. Im actually sick of my job. I've recently had a bunch of clients who feel the need to tell me about their sexual antics during their marriages. Why???? So gross.
I'm quite looking forward to having some time off because I'm thinking I need a change of career diection...My mate has just offered me a job in her law firm and I am seriously thinking about it. A big move for me because I am seldom prised away from my comfort zone...

Well enough about me.

First up, Robbo. How did you go with your blood tests. I hope you haven't been too stressed and I certainly hope that you get the result that you so deserve!

Jenn, congrats on the ultrasound. Don't worry about the size thing, I think I have always been a few days behind which has caused me no end of stress but at the end of the day no Drs have ever shown the slightest concern. So Noggin is small but he is growing. I'm sure that that is the same for your little bloke/ blokette. The heartbeat is the important thing at this stage and you have passed that with flying colours. As far as giving my car pooling buddy the "look" well let's just say she's a damned sight scarier than I am. It's not pretty when we fight so I think I will save any scowling for when she's really P!ssing me off. We recently had an argument about Bean Sprouts which got quite ugly...

Hey Sass, Noggin is a little bloke. DH was looking at his pictures yesterday and reckons that he has his spanish nose. He reckons Noggin should be re-named Gonzo. Poor Noggin/Gonzo, he's going to need a thick skin.

Hey Mia, great to hear from you. Sounds like your bumps are getting in the way a bit these days! Good luck with the move, I don't envy you, I can barely bring myself to clean out the spare room!

Mel, all that talk about pie and crusts has me drooling again! Dammit it's unfair. I thought being preg was a licence to eat but apparently not, I have to be more careful now than before because of the whole gestational diabetes thing. No pie for me for the next four and a half months! Your new little dog sounds like she is going to be quiet the handful. When you you get the little champ??

Mego, Correct me if I'm wrong but you are pretty damned close to the end of the second trimester. When I say it like that it seems like time has flown and yet with all the worry it also seems like it has dragged by...

Angie congrats on getting so far into the 2ww. As far as progesterone goes, I'm not sure it really keeps the bleeding at bay. When I got my BFN I asked my clinic why I had gotten AF if I was on progesterone and they told me that progesterone would not stop it. Having said that in all the reading that I have done about progesterone I thought it did keep AF at bay...so confusing. I still reckon it's a positive sign that AF has not reared her ugly head. Must be nice planning your trip, a great thing to look forward to, you'll love it I'm sure...

Well I threatned a roll call and here it is:

Amy????
Coco???? (I can only imagine what you're up to)
Patie???? (better not be working too hard!)
Nickster????
Wanna????

I want responses and I want them NOW!!

Off home now, it's raining and miserable outside, I have buckleys of any hot water tonight but I have arranged for it to be fixed on Monday. Yippeee!!

Fee

Patie! Great to hear from you. Glad to hear that the magazine is up and running. I bet that's a relief to have an issue behind you. I say if you can afford to do more IVF, then bring it on. We need more cycling sisters!

Fee--Poor Nogin/Gonzo. We really need to think of some better nicknames for the young boy. How about Prince? Nah, that sounds like a dog. Hmmmmm, I'll think on it. Yes, I am actually in the first week of my third trimester. How crazy is that? 3 months to go. I'm really not all that big (in my belly that is, my butt is HUGE!) or so everyone keeps telling me. If one more person tells me that, I'm going to punch them in the face. Do you think I can turn the IVF defense into the Crazy Hormonal Pregnant Lady defense (CHPL for short)? Anyway, I am getting very tired at nights and it's getting harder and harder to move around. I feel pregnant even if I might just look fat! (Bastards.) Interesting about the new job option. I know what you mean about stepping out of your comfort zone---I'm the same way. It's a scary thought, but sounds exciting.

Jenn--I'm going to echo Fee and say that being off a couple of days is not a big deal---I bet Beano will catch up during the second trimester. And if not, well let's just say that there are some advantages to a smaller baby (I'm thinking in terms of delivery, here!)

Robbo--I'm holding out lots of hope for you, girl. Please, please, please let it be good news!

Everyone else, hiya! I'm afraid this post is too long for more personals. So sorry, I'm going to have to ignore everyone else. Don't take it personally. Or do, if you feel like starting a blog fight. That might be kind of fun!

I'm feeling pretty good most days. Think I might have a touch of the flu today, lovely. The nursery is done and looks great. We did vertical stripes of pink, yellow, green, brown and white over two of the walls. Lots of work, but well worth it!

Well, have a nice Wednesday!

Howdy ho, girls.

Patie: Fab to read you again! I was hoping you hadn't gottten lost in the desert over there... Glad to hear the magazine is up and running. Two jobs???? No wonder you haven't been jumping back in the stirrups. Sounds like you are looking for a vote.... if you are interested in cycling again... i say "why not?!"

Mego: well, we don't have the AG for confirmation of such things... but as far as I am concerned... the IVF defense applies if you have EVER done IVF (convenient, no? ). So, since you did it once... it should extend through your pregnancy (we will just ignore the fact that the pregnancy didn't actually COME from the IVF  ). btw... the nursery sounds fabulicious! If you get a chance to post a picture somewhere, I would love to see it.

Fee: nice work, my dear. your roll call at least flushed out Patie! Oh, yes, thank you for the reminder. Noggin is such a gender-neutral name that I forgot. Not sure about Gonzo though... wasn't there a muppet or something with a big purple nose called Gonzo??? I can't believe how long you have gone with no hot water! Glad to hear it is getting fixed on Mon. Interesting on the new job... maybe it will be a great time for a change.

Angie: Woohoo! one day closer. I suppose on Austrialian time, you test tomorrow, no? Will be interested to hear how the mtg re: north america trip went.

Mia (!): How fab to read you again! I suppose better to move this week than next month, no? I imagine you are getting quite uncomfortable (at least my sil with twins was by this point).

Mel: I think I will have to wait until dh is off his diet kick before I can make the pies... but I will take your advice and make the crust!

Robbo: sending out good luck vibes for you today!

Vicky: proud of you for keeping the evil  HPT at bay. Stronger woman than I!

All right. Apparently I was feeling left out, what with all the toe issues we have had on this thread in the last few months (including my dh). So yesterday, running around getting my stuff together to go to yoga... I did a pile driver maneuver on my little toe. Ouch. It appears I have broken the little squirt. Nice and swollen, red, purple... even a pretty shade of plum in one area (dh pointed out it matched our carpet  ). So much for wearing strappy heels this week! Now a question. Why is it... since it is so much shorter than the others, that we stub our little toes so much? You would think the longer toes would get it more often, no? Maybe we are more "aware" of the longer toes and don't give a d*mn about the squirt? Who knows (and I suppose, who really cares  )

Sistas, just a small post to let you guys know what is going on. This morning I started spotting, and I said, what the heck, and did an HPT and it was negative. I am 9dp3dt and on my first cycle it was positive by now, besides de fact that my blood is in 2 days. So this is it for me apparently.
Needles to say I am devastated, I cried all morning
Don't know what I am going to do, will probably keep trying, will definitely not do acu anymore since it didn't do anything for me, actually I had the worst cycle of my life. And I don't know, will have a long talk with RE to see what is going on with all of this, why if he keeps telling me "everything looks great" this happens.............oh well........

Oh Vicky - I am sorry - don't know what else to say. I am also spotting - just a tiny bit - but it's like the lining is slowly starting to disintegrate. Always happens to me at the end of the 2ww - after 4, I know the signs....

I totally get you - it's so frustrating that they don't have answers, but unlike me, you have time on your side. Take care.

Will post more soon sistas - on the positive side I am going to US and Canada in Sept and I am allowed to build in some leave to the trip too. Looks like I'll be immersing myself in work soon.

Hi Patie - great to hear from you - glad work is going well and hopefully keeping your mind of this whole crazy process.

Hello Ladies

Well first off I just wanted to say to Vicky and Angie that I'm sorry that things aren't looking great and that both of you are still stuck in this sh!tty process.

You both still have time on your side, Angie, plenty of ladies get preg in their late 30s and into their 40s. I suppose there is some comfort in having no answers as to why IVF has not worked so far in that at least there is nothing obviously wrong. Hang in there both of you.

Vicky your first cycle was a great one really so although this last one sucked it just goes to show that each time is different and with every time you try it you have a decent chance.

Angie I'm glad you have your trip to plan. I think there's an awful lot to be said for blowing off the IVF process and doing something fab. Good on you!

I'll come back a bit later for more personals.

well ladies, I still don't have the results. it was quite a mess this morning. My clinic is 360 miles away, but they said I could do my test in the town that I live in. so, I found a clinic that would do my test and have the results the same day. I then called my clinic and they were to fax the orders in. Well, I had to give a state mandated test today, so I got up extra early to be the first one in the clinic. Well, my other clinic had never sent the orders, so they couldn't draw blood. I called my IVF clinic, which of course did not open for another hour. So, I left a message for them to fax the stuff immediately. After my kids finished with their test (5 hours later) I went back to have my bw done. IVF clinic NEVER faxed the orders. This time they got a nasty voice mail from me. (I have to drive 20 miles to get bw done...and with gas so high it makes me mad. However, much closer than the 360 miles). Anyhow, just as I got home, IVF clinic called and said they just faxed the orders in. So, again I was back to get bw done. They said my dr. would have the results today. However, my dr. closes as 3:00 and it was after 3:00. So....even though I know I am not pregnant, I am still waiting for that official call.
Thank you guys so much for all your prayers and support. I will e-mail the "official" results tomorrow when I get them. I have already taken myself off progesterone so...
Thanks again though.

Angie and Vicky keep your heads high. It ain't over 'til the bw says so. Vicky, when I called my clinic and told them I did a HPT on 9dp3dt, they said it was still way too early. don't, DON'T give up yet. There is so much pressure going through a procedure like this. you start to "imagine" symptoms and other things. Just remember, you are PUPO!!

Poor you Robbo - what a Sh**ty day even without getting the results - you poor thing.

I called the clinic about my spotting - she said I cd go in a day early for my test if I liked. But it hasn't been possible to get away from work and I think it will just send me into a tail spin even more. So will wait until tomorrow.

Thanks for your message Fee too.

Aaaaagh - what a stressful day - I can't concentrate at all.

Well I think it's official, the Sisterhood is well on edge at the moment.

Poor Robbo, that was a damned sucky day for you. How dare the various parties mess you around like that. If they aren't careful they will be getting a taste of sisterhood revenge....

Angie, as I recall the waiting is a killer the closer it gets. I'm impressed that you are holding out until Friday. Until then every damned second feels like an eternity!

Hang in there everyone...
