need some advise from ghost

I got my Af today.I will be staying off from ivf for some months. I have pcos so have problems like unwanted hair but my periods have become regular due to exercise and effect of fertility medicines.
Should i take start taking bcp now to check hirutism and weight gain problems (regulating period is not an issue here).
Last year i had regualr period so stayed away from bcp .I didnot conceive and above that developed unwanted hair .I am in a dilemma.Please help.

Hi Sharon,

I just wanted to let you know that Ghost is away from the forum for a few weeks and will be back sometime middle of July, I think.

I also have PCOS, but it's very mild for me. I would ask your dr., but it sounds like being on the bcp is a good thing for you. It is for me! It keeps all of my hormone levels balanced at least.

I also have mild pcos .Even if i get my periods every month i still develop unwanted hair . I know pcos is not curable .we can only control some of its symptoms to certain extent.
If i take bcp for a ling period (6-7 months)before next ivf cycle would it have any negative effect on my ovaries??
