Just a few personals before I rush off home and cook dinner for MIL and FIL (poor things aren't coping to well). Geez I've grown up a lot, this time last year I didn't even cook for myself....oh well about time I "matured".

Patie, fantastic to hear from you. Sorry to hear you are so busy but the new magazine does sound exciting. As far as another IVF goes i agree with the other sisters in thinking "why not?" It would be great to have you cycling again. Have you decided which clinic you would use???

Sass Sorry to hear about your toe, it really is a contagious problem on this thread. I'm starting to get worried about my little suckers. You're right though, they are prone to disaster. Maybe they are a bit more expendable than the big us...and yes Gonzo was that muppet with the big purple nose...

Mego, who the hell are these wankers commeting on your butt. I'm sure it's fine. At the moment my gut is protruding quite noticeably but that has always been my problem area for fat any way, I have these skinny legs and a boys butt with an oversized gut attached. DH kindly calls me barrel body....gosh we have a robust relationship...I agree, poor Noggs needs a new name...keep thinking, Prince just reminds me of...well Prince and frankly poor Noggs can do better. I can't believe that you are already in third trimester, that is a big milestone so big congrats on that one!

hey girls,

Vicky, Robbo, Angie- I'm so sorry you are having a bad time of it.

Angie- did you go in a day early?
Robbo- that sounds really sucky that you had to drive back and forth and back and forth. I would be pissed too!
Vicky- I think if you have to do another cycle, don't think about how bad your body reacted to this one. I had a crap cycle first and then waited 7 months for number 2 and it was great! I'm not saying wait that long, I was just a chicken! But I DO believe that your body will have good and bad months. You WILL react differently next time! You have already had a cylce with a good response so it will happen again! But do talk to your doc. to see if there is ANYTHING that can be tweaked for your next cycle. and don't move on until you feel comfortable with what will happen.

Mego- you are a sista and we don't have anything but cute butts. That is all I will say about that!! The nursery sounds so cute, that did sound like a lot of work. Did you get an idea out of a magazine, or did you get it from your head? I'm not creative so I'll have to look at pictures in books when the time comes. Question for you: Did you have morning sickness everyday, or was it on and off? I had a few bad days and now nothing and it worries me...

Sassy- soooo sorry about your toe!!! I broke mine the first weekend of may and I just was able to wear tennis shoes without it hurting a little over a week ago! I hope you heal faster! I like to go walking at night and I had to do it in flip flops. That impaired the speed walking a little!

Patie- so good to hear from you!! the magazine sounds like it is going great! Glad you get to take a break in July, sounds like you will need it! If we talking about the same thing, my sister has a facebook. She keeps up with high school friends that way. That is how she announced she was going to be an aunt. The only problem with that is DH and I had only told family at the time. Not all friends. So a friend of hers from high school saw it and told her mom who called my mom to congratulate her. So then mom called me and was like " you need to tell everyone b/c you don't want people to find out you're preggo off of your sister's facebook!"

Fee- Gonzo reminds me of the nickname my dad called me- Bonzo. He used to say "bedtime for Bonzo" Ahh memories. Anyway- we need to think of a new name! Sorry you have a scary carpool buddy. Fighting over bean sprouts is never fun!

Ok I need to start my day. Gotta go to the mall and return the swimsuit I ordered since they only sent me the bottom. The top is on backorder which means I'll never get it. But they did manage to charge the card for the whole thing. So I will have something to say about that! What did they think I would do- go to the pool in just the bottom until the top came?? I'm pretty sure they frown upon that at the neighborhood pool. OK rant over really time to go.

Read ya later-
Jenn

I only have a minute for a few personals...

Vicky: I'm bummed for you :cry: . I know there is really nothing to say to help. {{{hugs}}}

Robbo: Holy canoli... what your clinic put you through. Can you charge them for your gas??? That's crazy! I know you have pretty much given up hope... but as a sista, I'm still holding out a bit for you.

Angie: Girl.. you have the patience of Job! I'm sorry it isn't looking good. It is frustrating when we feel like we "know" b/c of symptoms or lack thereof. Will be waiting your news as well.

A big HALLOOOO to the rest of you, hoping to be back later for more...

Hey Ladies!

Sorry for my short absence, I have been reading along, and finding the lack of positive news so sad, that every time I start to post I get sad and don’t finish. So here is my meager attempt to start and finish, but first let me tell you that Vicky, Robbo and Ange, you are SO in my thoughts and prayers you have just no idea!!! I went to church on Tuesday night and prayed so hard for each of you, and lit candles for you – and prayed and prayed!!! :o God is sick of me for sure!

Vicky- I am still holding out hope sweetness, I hope you know that!!!! I am not even going to mention another cycle or anything until you get the official word, because I am still holing up hope for being Auntie Melissa soon! (like in 9 months!)

Robbo- I cannot believe what you clinic is doing!!! This makes me so mad, I want to drive over there myself and kick the person that didn’t send that fax!!!!

Ange- I am so proud of you and your patience!!! I know that things aren’t lookin’ super good, but to me that doesn’t mean anything – I might be the person holding up the ye of little faith sign like someone on strike to prove my optimism, but I’ll do it – don’t test me! 8) Did you go in a day early?

Mego – I am totally with Jenn on this, our butts are all perfect, this is an oath of the sisterhood, sort of like the traveling pants! :D So no more of this big butt talk! Got it! Good!!! I love what you’ve done with the nursery!!! It sounds just precious!!!

Sassy- I am so sorry about your toe, but I can’t help but find it comical that almost all of us have had a toe issue this year!!! We might have to change our name to the Sistahood of the Ugly Toe (okay maybe not, but secretly) My ugly toe is still naaaaasty!

Patie – Oh how I miss you!!! I’d love to see your magazine!! Is it too expensive to mail to me, probably huh! I am not a face-booker… I am not into the mycrack or myspace or whatever it’s called either… I barely have time to keep up with the sista’s! Oh and the pictures still haven’t been posted… but I’ll keep you posted on when they are! How short did you get your hair cut?? Love the new you!!! And a new cycle… I think that’s a good idea, I hear the 6th charm is the new 3rd charm! :D

Fee- Gonzo! That made me spit out my diet coke!!! Gonzo is my favoritest muppett!! That and the chef… but I love that!!! Bean Spouts, seriously! You must explain!

Jenn- Swimsuit, no top? And they charged you for it too, strange! But that would be funny to watch!!! Hee hee!

A couple of things on me Bellini is ready to come home, but I don’t know if we’ll be able to make it down there to pick her up (2 hours south of us, in a small po-dunk town) until Monday or Tuesday – but that might be good because my Mother is coming to visit this weekend. And, I have been having all sorts of weird cravings and hunger pangs… it’s strange, I am going to call it Pre-PMS, since I’m not due until next week, but if you’re my mother and you say “Well maybe your pregnant…” you don’t know me very well – why do people automatically assume because you want Chicken Wings & Ice Cream that you are pregnant – and I didn’t want them together just like dinner and lunch… people just don’t get it! (rant over)

I think that’s it… maybe there was more… but if so, I’ll have to post it another time – gotta run home and let out the dog…we have a late night dinner thing tonight…

XXOO!

Mroning - here's the lastest in the saga.
I didn't test early - couldn't see the point of rushing all over town and getting more stressed. Yesterday afternoon had a significant red/brown flow although it has stopped now - it seems to happen when the pessaries wear off.

Went along for yet another pointless blood test first thing this morning - should get the official result in a couple of hours. Will let you know.

On the positive side, met with a lovely nurse who told me about another protocol that some of the dr's use with ladies like me with Poly cystic O's - so will have a plan for next time (whenever that will be). It's the one you used Fee - slightly stimming and growing one follicle before the FET. I would have thought I am an obvious candidate for this - so Dr D will be getting the flick as of today, and I'll hopefully be able to sign up with a lady dr with expertise in PCO.

Mel - thank you for your prayer - it means alot - you're very sweet. You 're so going to have lots of fun next week when Bellini comes home. I want to get a puppy next week too, to cheer us up but we can't until we move which won't be for a while.

OK just a quickie because I have a client in reception (half a damned hour early). Angie whatever the result today I'm glad that you are changing Dr and protocol. I think it's high time for a new outlook on the process. Seems a lot of ladies need to change Drs/ protocols before getting that elusive BFP.

Robbo and Vicky I am thinkig of you two today as well and sincerly hoping for good news!

Ladies, I know it is hard to believe, but I still DO NOT know the test results yet. I called and they said that they never got the fax. D*m fax machine. So, I called the clinic that did my blood work and they said they were waiting on the progesterone results. I just wanted to scream that those don't matter when you are NOT pregnant. I am bleeding very heavy red now, so I know it's officially over. Which I am completely okay with. We have frozen, and the cost is sooo cheap compared to IVF, so we will give it a shot next year.

Angie- Anxiously waiting to hear your results. You have done so well through the whole process. I am proud of you. Glad to hear that the bleeding did stop....could be a good sign. Keep the faith.

Mel- Don't ever stop posting just becuase all of our news is depressing. Your wonderfully kind words are so encouraging to me. I actually held out hope for a BFP..that is until yesterday when the bleeding really picked up. Thanks for the prayers, means a lot to me.

Meg- Nursery sounds wonderful. Please share how you came up with the idea? You would think as a teacher I would be creative, like you, but I am anything but :(

Sassy- I think maybe your toe was just jealous of everyone elses toes. However, now I am feeling like I need to go hurt my toe....maybe not during sandle time though

Patie- So glad that the first magazine is finally under your belt. I am sure it was just lovely. One down....lots to go

Vicky- So sorry to hear your news. I know exactly how you feel. How awful it is that we get our hopes up so much, and then our hopes are shot. Just remember, we can still do it again, and again, and again, and again. I am praying for you. Keep your spirits up.

I do have to add one more thing about me....my neighbor came over the other day and said with everything that I have been through, if I don't want to give her a shower I don't have to . she will understand. I was completely shocked. I told her that in the beginning I really didn't want to give her one, but maybe it would be good for me to throw myself into it now. So, I am still giving the shower. Of course she was mad at me when I told her I was hosting it at my church. She would have rather had it at the house. I am NOT backing down.

I'm headed to bed. Sorry for all that I missed. I thank you dearly for all your lovely words, thoughts, and prayers. I could not have made it through everything without the sistas

Robbo: seriously. Your clinic has issues. Considering what they put you through yesterday with THREE roundtrips to the lab, you would think they would be all over taking care of getting you the results in a timely manner. Having said that... I am sorry to hear your flow has gotten so heavy... but I am glad that you have some frosties. As for your neighbor... considering the history, I am VERY surprised she came to you. Maybe she is growing up a bit? Anyway, you are a better woman than I. But if you think it would help you to be busy with the shower, I say go for it!

Angie: I'm seconding what Fee said. You have been unhappy with your RE for sometime now. Sounds like it is a good time for a change of clinic. Do you already know where you will be going? Also, I am excited to hear where you will be stopping on your "Angie Sees North America" work trip. Sorry about the flow. This just sucks.

Mel: If I remember right... having your mom around is not an easy thing, no? If that is true... sounds like waiting to pick up Belllini until next weekmay be a good idea. You wouldn't need a brand new puppy AND a judmental mother in the house at the same time  .

Found a fab yoga instructor at my gym... power yoga so I also get decent cardio with it. Managed to get through it with the broken little squirt taped to #4 toe. Now it is a pretty shade of olive green going up my foot. Yep, no sandals for a few weeks

Will check in for our betas in the morning....

It's another BFN for me. Feel numb but have so much else on my plate I haven't really processed it. DH is gutted again.

Well USA here I come in September and I guess another attempt in Oct when I return.

The book I've been reading said it's good to have a plan so plan I will. Appmt with counsellor in 2 weeks and PCO specialist in August.

Thanks for the support girls - I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Angie

I'm really sorry that this cycle didn't work out for you. And I'm also sorry that DH is gutted. It's so hard and you both deserve better than this. I'm glad that you have a strategy to cope and a great trip to look forward to.

When you go to your new specialist it may be an idea to check out the embryologists at the lab. I had heaps of confidence in mine and I think they are every bit as important as the RE, especially if you are going to try to get blast embyros down the track.

Don't know what I can say to make you feel better, guess words aren't enought. Hope you are OK though.

Ange – I am so sorry that this cycle was crap! I am proud of you for having a plan, and something to focus on – I guess we just need to keep moving, but you do need time to grieve, so take a little bit and then move on, those new protocols seems to be working for the sista’s so take a step back – focus on you for a bit, and then jump back in to the stirrups! But know that I am praying for you and DH!!!

Patie – You are too funny about your hair, I think short hair in the summer is fantastic!!! And I am sure you are just as stylish as Mrs. Beckham if not more so! I mean The Spice Girls had it, but I don’t know that they HAVE It… she is pretty though! I can’t wait for my pictures to come out too! I am starting to get worried that I look so crappy that the photographer doesn’t wan to put me on the blog! I’d scare away the potential clients! Hee hee!!! I am so excited about Bellini coming!!! DH and I need to figure out then the best time to get her is… hopefully Sunday –but I really don’t want to involve my mother in picking up our newest addition…

Robbo – Your clinic is making me mad! Seriously! WTF-mate! Really! Get it together folks!! I cannot believe that the blood testing clinic couldn’t give you and answer, they are making me just AGGGHHH! Shake in anger! I am shocked at your neighbor though – WOW! And so big of you to take the high road – I commend you! Stay strong, darling! I am here for ya, well we all are!

Sassy – Love the Power Yoga!!! You have inspired me to go Power Shopping, in T-minus 6 minutes I am heading to the mall with my co-worker/friend to get some retail therapy that I so desperately need! My mother = High Maintenance! She just requires so much attention all of the time – and everything is a BIG freakin’ deal! So we’ll see… it might be okay, I might be on the 10 o’clock news, headline “Woman goes temporarily insane – kills mother, tortures Dr.Jeyll/Mr.Hyde-like step-father, then hides the bodies” so just be on the lookout. Love the color change updates on the toe!!! Green would look great with blue toes! Or even pink, I hear green is the new brown!

I know I missed a couple, but I have gotta get to the Mall!!!
