Lupron for 20 days........? is this normal

I doing IVF and have taken Lupron via injection 20 IU for 10 days and a blood count E2 of 84, I was told then to continue for another 6 days with the same dosage and then go for another blood count, this was the E2 of 23. They have now told to reduce the dosage to 10 IU and continue for another 7 days... then start the stimulant Gonal -F 150 IU together with 10 IU of Lupron for 5 days and go for blood count...... am I not taking Lupron for too long??? I have read other peoples accounts of the procedure and they seem to be shorter, I am concerned, comments please.......

I have not started the Lupron yet.
I am about to start it on 07/07.
According to my doctor's instructions 2 weeks after (on 7/21) I have to start Follistim / Gonal F and Repronex.
Then I have to continue Lupron untill instructed to stop, which COULD BE arround 07/30 or 24 days after the beginning.
I guess it depends on your response.

I used Lupron 10units for 18 days than dropped to 5units for 8 more days before taking my final trigger shot 36 hrs before Egg Retrieval. It all depends on your blood tests and how your eggs are developing. I had 12 follicles and 11 were retrieved. How many follicles do you have? They measure them each time you have an ultrasound. Most of mine were developing at the same rate except a few, so I think they kept me on the Lupron so the rest of my follies could catch-up- but Im not an expert. I learned a lot by researching Lupron and Gonal - F on the internet! Plus you learn a lot from these threads!

I took Lupron for 19 days.. I didn't have a high as dose as you.. I did 10 units for a week or so.. then decreased to 5 units.. I stopped it a few days before the ER..
I was a quick responder to the stims so I only stimmed for a week..
