My doctor says that the number doesn't necessarily have to double.. They like to see it increase by 1.6.. which for you would be.. 150.4
So.. with that said.. I think you are doing fine!! Don't stress too much about numbers.. atleast they are going up!!

Numbers need to double up every 48-72 hours. As long as they are going up that is good. When do you go in again?

Hi Girls! Thanks so much for the reply. Definitely makes me feel better. Went in for beta #3 today and came back 246. I was really bummed, but just talked to my doctor and he says he is not concerned because they are going up. Next is 6 week ultrasound in 10 days. What do you think???

Carebear,
I've had two chemical pregnancies. It is when you get a positive beta but then miscarry before hearing the heartbeat at 6-7 weeks. My first one ended about a week after my first blood test (I didn't have a second blood test done that time because I was away) and the second one ended only 3 days after my first blood test. The second one I was expecting because my second beta dropped. In both cases my betas were lower than yours is. You'll be fine. A beta of 85 is great! Best of luck!

Brandi.. You remind me of myself.. :)

First off.. we had IVF w/ ICSI..
Second..My beta 11dp3dt was 76 i think.. 2 days later it doubled.. and continued to double or grow more than double.. we had our first u/s and saw the sac and the little bean in there! We have our 2nd u/s this friday to see/hear the heartbeat!! My beta was lower than yours..
Third.. I had no morning symptoms either. I swore that my IVF cycle had failed. and I still dont have any symptoms other than being exhausted.. and sore boobs.. but they have been like that since I started the progesterone!! so I definately say you have great #'s!! Congratulations!

Hi ladies, just as an old hand at beta hcg paranoia suggest you look at www.betabase.info and see just how variable betas can be..also has great links page for early pg traumas (cos we are human)

biggest hugs and understanding cos I paid for private beta and progesterone weekly until I was 10 weeks or something stupid with my successful pg :P

hi ladies!!! well my nurse called and my numbers more than doubled, the first beta on 7/2 was 85 the one they took today 7/5 was 445 so things are looking good i was terrified this morn because i ws spotting bright red and well my progsterone level was a lil low it was only at 25 they want to see it higher cause it has to be at least 20 by now so they said that could be the issue but numbers are going up so im happy!! hope everybody had a safe fourth!!

Hi Ladies,

The nurse in my clinic said that the numbers should increase at least 60% of your previous HCG level.

Carebear110b - did your nurse said that you might be having twins?

Good luck to everyone!
