Hi my name is Lorissa and firstly like to wish you all goodluck.
I had an et last Thursday and was wondering when i can maybe anxiously try the preg test.Maybe you can help me as i am unsure.

When I have tested positive it has usually been around 12 days past retrieval.

But, everyone is different, some women test positive earlier and some women don't get a positive until later.

I had 2 embies transferred on last Thursday and I am busting to find out.
So i might test it around next monday

Hi Lorissa - I always test 7 days post 3day transfer and its always negative. I therefore know by this that the hcg shot is out of my system. I have twice done a test 8 days post 3dt and got a positive, very slight but there all the same. THe clear blue digital said pregnant on day 8.

My other positives were day 12, this is the first test after day 7 and then for my second day 10, first test after day 7.

Having said this I think everyone is different also depends on whether you have a 3day transfer, 5 day transfer etc.

My first full IVF, I did day 7 then managed to hang in there till day 12, so it all depends on how long you can wait.

This time my first test was day 7 (negative) then day 8, 9,10 and 11 all postive. Day 11 is today for me.

I NEVER had a positive HPT. Everyone of those little devils came back a BFN! Even the day before my beta test. Not even a faint line. I was feeling like it failed and then BFP. . .with twins!!!

If you take a HPT, just don't let it get you too upset if it comes back BFN. Not everyone gets a BFP even when they are pg. Although, I haven't heard of anyone who got a BFP from them and weren't really pg!

how wonderful,iam very happy for you and wish you all th best.
Thankyou i hope too,i conceived my 5yr old daughter naturally and after that ,so much went down a failed attempt at 1st ivf and got pregnant though and unfortunately miscarried at 3 mths-no heart beat.
So here i am once again,giving it another go.
Well you have inspired me today and thx heaps

Encouraging one another is what we are here for. After we both have babies and get to join the "Parents after treatment" page we can console one another on sleepless nights!

Just keep telling yourself it worked and talk to that little beanie. I literally begged mine to stay.

I seriously talked to my stomach and just pleaded with those embies telling them I would try make the best life I could for them if they would give me a try. Stay positive!

Report any and all good baby news ASAP!!!

I have never gotten a BFP until 10days past transfer. I've done a 3day fresh cycle and a 5 day frozen. But I DO test early to make sure the HCG is out of my system so I don't get a false positive. I'll do that again this time too.

quite bloated and crampy.

HI SAMARA 1, KATEINPHIL, KHOLTAN, IVFMUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thank you for all your understanding and support in the 2ww.Without your support i don't know what i would have done.But i definitely know your lovely support was positive and reasuring.
12 days post ET i have a BFP.I am stunned and anxious ,happy and shocked.My blood test is on mon 16th july -6 days away and hoping it stays that way for a healthy pregnancy.Ive had a miscarrige on my 1st ivf and hope for the best.Does the hpt give a false positive?and when did you stop your progesterone before blood test?????mine finish today till blood test.
