Hello ladies,

Looks like everyone is doing good. I've been in and out of town and when I'm home I was too tired to check in. Last week I had my Nuchal scan and the measurements were fine. I just have to wait for the blood results next week. My little beanie kept jumping around and wouldn't sit still. You'd think I would've felt some of it but I didn't.
My Peri said I will be seen twice a month, once by his office and once by my regular OB. This is because of my diabetes. I will have plenty of chances to see peewee.

Rikkireese, with first pregnancies you usually start showing later because your muscles were never stretched so it's taking them a little longer to do so. I suspect one day you will wake up and say 'wow, look at me now'. I think with my twins I didn't start showing until 12 weeks. This time I started around 9.

Tans, your doing great. 12 weeks will be here soon. That's good the doppler is working out for you. Was it hard to pick up the heart beat? I was thinking about renting one also but since I will seen so often at the Dr's I don't think I will be needing one.

Rain, congrats on the scan going great for you. You and I are one year apart, my birthday is July 10th.

mdterry - i would say absolutely go for it on renting one, but it is true that you will be seen more often.

we are in europe and i brought it with me. how crazy am i? i was so nervous about getting it through security. i listen to the baby probably every other day b-c i have no other indication that there is anything going on down there.

glad you are all well and everyone is getting closer to the safer zone.

just curious about the dopplers, how soon can you pick up a heartbeat?

Guys I have a funny question to ask, do you feel any pulsation in your belly? it feels like a heartbeat or something like very simular to it. I was wondering what can it be?

I was able to pick up the heartbeat on Friday and I was 9 weeks and 6 days. I love the doppler. I really do. It is the greatest thing since canned dog food! LOL

The blood flow increases to your pelvic area (uterus) when you are preggo and you will feel that pulsing feeling from your inferior vena cava delivering an increased blood supply. I know exactly what you are talking about....totally normal.

I don't blame you. i took mine on vacation with me as well. I don't think that it is crazy. It is about the only indication that something is going on in there. I love it just as much as you do.

Glad that you are in town again! I know I know that 12 weeks is coming. Only 12 days in fact. That is not long at all. I am so excited to get there. I can't wait until I get to start seeing my beanies as well. I will be going to the u/s place biweekly to have cervical length checks done after 15 weeks. I am thrilled!!!!

tansrn - i forget why you are getting your cervical length checked so frequently. i haven't had mine checked, but i do think about wanting to make sure it's closed.

malinka - i do feel those little pulses on one side sometimes. i don't know if i've thought that they were the heartbeat. they have felt more like a little kick, but i know that's highly unlikely. if they were a little harder, they would almost be uncomfortable.

jovigal - heard the HB with the doppler around 9.5 weeks too. now i am 13.6 weeks and i can def. pick it up much faster. they aren't so accurate with the measurement, but that's not what i'm after - just want to see that there is a number coming up. i've even experimented and tried putting it on my husband to see if it registered a beat there and nothing. and i tried my cat- she no likey. ha!

so we are in barcelona and i think that i am waiting to tell some good friends until i can call them, but it's really weird that i am still holding out on telling about 25% of my good friends.

girls thanks for the input! Secretly I wanted those pulsations to be my babies moving but I know it is too early:)

Called my ob yesterday to find out about lab results ( 1st 3ster scan) got such a cold shoulder from another doctor ( fellow in my ob office), that I am still in shock. Man he was so rude, he was like why are you calling. W twins those blood results are not 100% . I was like I am aware of that, I just wanted to find out my results anyways ( didn't knwo it is a crime), he was like it is negative and hung up!

Hi Ladies,

I hope I can join this board, I am expecting twins sometime in January toward the end. Not sure exactly when. I go back to the IVF clinic for u/s, I heard their heartbeat last week, it was amazing, so thursday is my last u/s with the clinic and then i have to see a regular obg in another week.

It was hard to post good news on the cycle board when some of the ladies were getting BFN. I felt like it would be too hard from them to hear all this baby news etc.

So i hope i am welcome here.

I am getting the cervical checks done just as a precautionary thing. It was the idea of my peri. I don't mind. I want to be watched closely with this go round.

Things are going well for me girls. Only 10 more days until I am in the 2nd trimester!!! Woo Hoo!!

Morning Ladies....

I am starting to feel little flutters here and there that can only be one thing...babies moving!!! It is so wonderful. They were moving for several minutes this morning and it was wonderful!!!! Things are going well....Only 9 mor days until 12 weeks for me! I know I keep telling you guys but it is so exciting for me.....WOOO HOOOOO

I slept all day on the fourth. i had to work the night before....uuggghhh. Anyhow Hello Steph!!!!

Tanya - Hello my dear friend. I'm so glad that things are moving along great for you!!! I can't wait to get the flutters. At our last U/S appt. DH did get to see Lil Bit moving about while I was laying back which was a little disappointing but it made DH a little more excited about the baby so I am happy about that. Today is my first appt with the OB I do hope things go well. I am going to stress on them about the cerlege hopefully they will listen---- that or I go back to my other Dr. I am 4 days behind you and have 13 days until I hit 12 weeks and then I can stop the POI and estrace. GOD I can't wait there is no room left on my butt without knots. I have stayed in the bed the last 4 days with cramps again I just wonder if it is due to my lack of a gallbladder...But where it is it just makes me so nervous... Wishing you all the best.. Can't wait to see ya hit that 12w mark at this rate it will be here the next time we blink.

Yes only one more week. That is 7 days and counting. I love to see my ticker count over to a new week! I am thrilled. I am so happy. We are almost past our first hurddle. For that I am pleased. It will be so exciting to get into the second trimester and start to feel the babies kick for real!!! I know what you mean about the butt and the shots. It is bad. I have stopped the estrace and now I am doing the shots every other day. Way better and only one more week of that. That is a great thing. I have a super lumpy butt now! Wacky!!! I hope that your appointment went well. What did they say about the cerclage deal? Hope things are good. Talk to you soon.

Well first appt was a bummer they said that they had tried to call and cancel appt but there was no answer at my house So I got all the way there and NO appt. One of the midwives did see me for the cramps and I was placed back on meds again for another UTI. I didn't like her much she had no personality and when I asked about the cercelage because of my biopsy she said "many women have that and don't need anything" But the way she said it was rather rude in my book. I go again to see a Dr this Thurs hopefully he can answer the questions I have about it without attitude ... If not I am going back to the Dr that did my biopsy even tho I don't like the hospitals he delivers at. That is the only reason I have tried another Dr that and I returned to the ones that delivered my youngest. Oh well... I am happy things are well and you have 7 to go what a milestone.
