Question On Embryo Donation

Post by proud_mother_02 »

I recently found out I was pregnant. I already have a 22 month old daughter and a 6 month old son. Also have my two Sister-in-laws Living with us who are teens.

We only planned on having two children. This child is a very unexpected gift and how this child was concieved is about a miracle in my book. However I am not sure I can do this again.

I know that you can donate frozen embryos. But is there a way to donate just one and instead of freezing it just placing it in a women who is longing to be a mother? If you have an information please let me know.

Thanks

Donating an embryo

Post by wandamorales »

Check with the clinic that you are working with and see if they can except the embryo. It would still have to be frozen in order to preserve it. So some one else could use it.

I know this is an old thread, but I just want to say there is no way with current technology to donate an implanted embryo. Removing it will kill it.

Just in case anyone here had any doubt...
