Hi Everyone,

Is 8dp6dt still too early for a pregnancy test? I did one this morning and it was negative. Do you think that if I were pregnant it would show up, at least faintly, by now?

Brandi- when did you get your first positive test? Which day was it?

I'm nervous....

Also, I think I may have a urinary tract infection. It kind of hurts right after I pee. I'm hoping that's why I'm spotting. They used a catheter to relieve my bladder after transfer so maybe that's how I got it. Any ideas?

thanks for listening to my problems. I don't know who else to ask about these things. You all have personal experience with all of this so you are the experts!!!!

Hope everyone is great!

Hi Ladies,
Wow soooo much has happened while ive been away!!! Lynn, congrats, Mulligan, hang in there, everything will be fine you must believe that :)

So how are all the 2ww's going????
Im really good, feeling very rested after my stay in London.
My transfer couldnt have gone better, they put back 2 top Blastocysts,on sat 30th so today im 4dp 5dt,.
Ive been feeling well, the last couple of days my (.) (.) have been a bit sore, but thats about it.
On sat before my transfer i took a hpt just to see if my hcg was out of my system and it was.
SOOOOOOO Today,i dont know why,and yes i know its way to early!! but i couldnt help myself and thought what the hell i took a test!!!!!
And it came back positive!!!!
I know this sounds crazy but what does this mean??
MY b/w is booked for Monday 9th july, then Wed 10th july.

Any thoughts??

Love Laurie xx

MULLIGAN, it may still be early for u hun i dont know, i started testing 7dp3dt and it started with a faint positive so i tested days 8,9,10, and 11dp3dt(bloodtest day) so just try to stay positive and maybe you should call your re and let them know about the spotting i know my doc told my anyspotting and i need to call... but again it may still be too early my nurse said it take a week for hcg to get out of your system so if you want to see if its pos then to wait until day 10dp what ever day your transfer was but it may not be enough to show on a urine test so id just relax and wait till test day ive heard of alot of women testing negative and still ending up with a bfp on test day so just hang in there i know its killing you right now i was there too but you'll be fine! the 2ww is absolute hell!!! ill keep you posted on my 2nd beta im still very worried abolut it i pray it doubles!! everyone on their 2ww please hang in there!! happy fourth!!!!

hi laurie,
you sound relaxed and well rested -- I am also 4dp5dt, where they also transfered 2 Blastocysts -- but wow - I have to wait till Thursday the 12th to go for my b/w...lucky girl to be able to get some real info already on Monday!

Brandi - good luck tomorrow with your 2nd Beta! Try not to climb the walls while waiting for the results -- I'm sure it will feel a long wait, nevertheless. Keep us posted.

Take care everyone, stay positive, and all the best,
Amy

Hey Laurie- We're glad you're back!! I have heard of many people getting positives nine days past ovulation, which is essentially what you are, so who knows- maybe you are pregnant!! Wouldn't that be great?
Brandi- I'm hoping for you tomorrow!

hi Laurie,
could depend on what meds (progesterone, estrogen, etc) you are taking at the moment - Just this morning, I was reading all the information booklets that came with the meds I am taking to try and figure out if the things I was feeling (among them sore boobs -) was "something" or just a side effect of the current drugs, as jeneden has offered as a likely possibility -- and according to what I read, the soreness is one of the side effects and that it could very well disappear, but didn't mean anything other than that the medicine was working and building up in your system -- which, I guess is a good thing.
A lot of people have said before that they've felt completely "normal" until their b/w and got a BFP - others have constant twinges and get the same result -- It just really depends -- on what? - outside of the quality of the developing embryo, there are millions of factors each unique to us -- so really, I think only time will tell -- wish there was just a checklist, instead!

Take care and stay positive!

Hi Amy
Thanks for the advice, just really nervous you know. Iagree there should be some sort of checklist that you can tick off every day to make sure your feeling all the correct things.
So how are you feeling?

Amy,

You are so wise. I sure hope your are right about not having any signs before b/w. I am a week away from testing and do not feel a thing. Some bloating, but I'm sure it is the estrogen patches I had to start yesterday. It's crazy because the meds and even being premenstral can give the same signs of pregnancy so I tend to believe that b/w is the only way to tell.

Carebear, wish you luck on your b/w today.

Hang in there everyone.

You're right Amy! It is so hard because the progesterone makes me have all these twinges and cramps and of course I want to think they are PG symptoms, but after going through 4 IUIs and having all the same symptoms- I was convinced I was pregnant for the third one- I can't get excited about any activity going on down there - as much as I want to.
Laurie- Have you taken another preg test?
Melanie- How are you?
Mulligan- Have you taken another test?

Hi ladies! I am back..
I am sneaking in here, an old hand, hopefully also one that can inspire, as we had a successful IVF with donor eggs in 2005 and now have Joshi. We are off to Kiev again next week for FET with our 4 frosties (11months and 1 week after Joshi), transfer date is estimated as 12th July  . Have kept quiet til now as I wanted to be sure that my poor old body would respond as required to preparation but had the news today that endo is fantastic and thyroid is stable so we can go ahaead. So I join you all as an old hand, but also just as terrified as last time especially as this is the only chance to give Joshi a true brother or sister and I am 44 so am not sure if we would go on after this.

My heart goes out to all of you, at the same time if I can help anyone don't hesitate to ask!

biggest hugs

Great news Lynne. I am glad things are progressing for you. You must be elated!

Welcome BigJ - I sure do remember you and so happy to hear you had success. I'm not sure if you remember me, but I cycled around the same time you did at one point in 2005. Our girl, Siena, is now 17 mos old. Best of luck to you on your quest for another baby. I'm right there with you. Currently on the dreaded 2ww and no signs of pregnancy. I hope for good news next week??
