Our nurse also told us that they like to see the progesterone levels stay above 20. So it sounds like you are doing the right thing. They may want you a little higher than you are right now incase you drop for some reason, that way you will still be above 20.
They check me each week to make sure that my level is sufficient. I am currently on an IM injection daily of 1.5cc at 100ml/cc and a 200ml suppository twice daily. I'm sure that each person is different as far as what they require to sustain a safe level. Just keep doing what they tell you to do, and let them worry about the numbers. You are paying them a lot of money to worry for you. (I know, easier said than done)
hey kathi, thanks, and your right its definately easier said than done. but it just seems like there's always something to worry about first it was worryin about injections then it was worrying about retrieval then it was worrying about transfer then it was worrying about if it took, now its worrying about levels its a never ending cycle! haha but so far its been ok...can i ask do you still cramp? i still feel cramps occasionally sometimes really bad cramps that have me doubled over but then it stops and i feel fine....kinds weird but thanks for replyin!

I understand the whole "never ending worry" thing. We tried so hard to get where we are; it's hard not to think that something may go wrong. Believe me, I understand!
As far as cramps go, I haven't had any period-like cramps, though I do have what I would describe as more of a pulling sensation. Though occasionally I do get a stabbing type pain in my lower abdomen. But it goes away as suddenly as it comes on. Usually it's more of a pulling kind of feeling that I get (daily). I voice my concern to my husband all the time, and he reassures me that it is probably all normal stuff and that it is just the baby making room. I hope he is right.
Have you discussed your cramps with your nurse? I don't think that you have anything to worry about though. I have read posts here from women who say that they had period like craps (and spotting) throughout their entire pregnancy. It's just so hard not to think the worst....and I'm a pretty optimistic person by nature!
Hang in there and keep my posted. When do you go in for your first ultrasound?
My progesterone was 96, I am on 1CC of supplement. They did say this was high but okay, could indicate twins. I had my first ultrasound today and I'm having twins, maybe triplets.
As for the cramps...I'm 5 wks 5 days right now and still have cramps. Sometimes they are terrible. My nurse told me it was normal, your body is trying to adjust and stretch to make more room for the little BABIES!!
Hope this helps! Kathi- How far along are you?

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
Congratulations on your multiples! Wow! Are you excited?? Overwhelmed? Numb?
I didn't know that progesterone levels could indicate more than one baby. I am 7w0d as of today (Friday, July 6th). But my progesterone levels are pretty high. In the last 3 weeks it has ranged from 157 to 127 and we are confirmed with only one baby. Though we were hoping for twins...however, I'm not complaining at all.
I don't know if they are keeping my progesterone high for a specific reason though. I am probably considered geriatric as far as pregnancy is concerned (41). So that makes me fall into a special category. And I have just been diagnosed with a thyroid issue that I am now taking meds for. Maybe that too is a reason they are keeping me at a higher level.
Keep me posted on your progress. I would love to hear more!
