HIYA ELLIE

EC WENT OK - GOT 17 EGGS. I'M VERY SORE, (DIDN'T FEEL THIS BAD LAST TIME!) THEY'VE TOLD ME TO TAKE PARACETAMOL (LAST TIME THEY GAVE ME CODINE!) ANYWAY WILL BE FEELING BETTER TOMORROW. SURE IT'S JUST EXCESS WIND OR SOMTHING HA! HA!

NEED TO PHONE UP TOMORROW TO FIND OUT HOW DH LITTLE SWIMMERS HAVE DONE AT CRACKING THE EGGS! HEY HEY! HOW'VE YOU GOT ON, HOW MANY HAVE FERTILISED?

WE ALSO HAVE ET ON THURSDAY, WILL BE THINKING OF YOU!

2WW FOR US IS 17 DAYS, I THINK! BUT WILL BE GREAT TO GO THROUGH IT WITH SOMEONE, AS THAT IS THE WORSE BIT OF ALL! (SHOULD I?, SHOULDN'T I?, WHAT IF?) FIND YOUR SELF BEATING YOUR SELF UP ALL THE TIME OVER EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE OR HAVENT DONE! PLUS YOU CAN'T HELP THINKING AM I OR ARNT I PG?

ANY WAY GOING BACK TO THE SOFA NOW TO CHILL OUT, HOPE YOUR OK AND YOU'VE GOT LOTS OF LITTLE EMBRYS!

Hey there Nicola

17 eggs, thats brilliant! You must be really pleased, though I can understand why you are in pain after all that. Hope you have a good number of embies from that...fingers crossed!

Found out yesterday that all 12 eggs fertilised! Can't quite believe it - we have never been pg before (that we know of) and were both very worried about this bit...blown away by the fact that they all got on ok. At our clinic they allow 7 to develop for a few days and freeze the rest if that's what you want, so we asked them to do this. At pre-treatment visit the nurse said it was unlikely we would have enough to do this so not to get our hopes up, so its all the more surprising that we have 5 to freeze. If we get a bfn I will try to look on this as a 2nd chance...

We are scheduled for ET tomorrow - are you the same? I didn't realise we had a 17 day wait - I suppose because the embies are only 3 days? 14 days was loing enough - 17 will be a lifetime! Oh well, if we get a good outcome it will be well worth it eh?

Please let me know how you got on - it's nice to know someone going through the same thing at the same time.

Good luck

HI ELLIE

YOU'VE DONE REALLY WELL! THE BLOATING WAS A GOOD SIGN! AND ALL 12 FERTILISED AS WELL (THAT'S GOOD ODDS!)

CLINIC PHONED THIS MORNING AND WE HAVE 10 THAT HAVE FERTILISED. WE'RE HAPPY WILL THAT (IT'S SAME AS LAST TIME) WE'RE ONLY HAVING ONE REPLACED AT A TIME THIS TIME TO HELP PREVENT PROBLEMS FURTHER ON WITH MULTIPLE PREGNANCIES. SO THAT MEANS LOADS OF CHANCES FOR BFP'S! THEY ARE PHONING US TOMORROW TO LET US KNOW HOW MANY HAVE SERVIVED THE NIGHT/MATURED AND WILL LET US KNOW HOW MANY ARE BEING FROZEN.

KEEP ME INFORMED HOW YOU GET ON - IT'S GREAT THIS ISN'T IT!

IVF IS VERY CLEVER AND AT LEAST WE ARE TRYING AS OPPOSED TO DOING NOTHING! YIPPEE! GOOD LUCK!

Hi Nicky

How's things? We had ET yesterday - 2 put back. It was all over very quickly, though I am still really sore. I hope everything is ok in there. So now officially on 2ww and can't believe we have got this far. Trying not to think about it too much, but can hardly think of anything else, so that bit isn;t going according to plan!!

How did you get on yesterday? Hope everything is well with you and ET went ok.

Good luck

WE'VE MADE IT TO THE 2 WW

Post by NICKID »

HIYA ELLIE

I KNOW - 2WW!

CLINIC PHONED YESTERDAY TO SAY THAT 6 EMBRYOS MADE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT. THEY'VE FROZEN 5 (SAME AS YOU) & 1 IS NOW SAFELY TUCKED AWAY, BEING KEPT WARM IN MY INCUBATOR TUMMY!

I WAS A LITTLE DISAPOINTED AT FIRST THAT WE'VE GONE FROM 17 EGGS TO 6 EMBRYO'S BUT THEN IT ONLY TAKES ONE, DOESN'T IT! AND IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORST! THEY SAID THAT THEY ARE ALL GOOD GRADE EMBRYO'S AS WELL WHICH IS A GOOD THING!

I'M STILL SORE AS WELL. MY TUMMY FEELS LIKE ITS FULL OF TRAPED WIND THAT GIRGLES ABOUT ALL THE TIME, MUST BE PRESSING ON THE SENSITIVE AREAS. I KNOW ABOUT IT WHEN MY BLADERS FULL AS WELL! TO MUCH INFORMATION, I KNOW BUT THEN WE DID JUST BEAR ALL TO A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE IN THE MOST COMPRIMISING POSITION! HA!

ARE YOU HAVING PROGESTERONE PESSARIES AS WELL! NOT PLEASANT BUT NESSECCARY!

THEY HAVE TOLD US TO DO A HPT ON THE 22/7/07 (17 DAYS AFTER ET) WHAT ABOUT YOU?

SPENT YESTERDAY WITH MY FEET UP WATCHING TV AND DVDS. DOING MUCH OF THE SAME TODAY. TOMORROW OR SUNDAY WILL BE VISITING MUM AND DAD BUT TAKING IT EASY. BACK TO WORK ON MONDAY! WHAT ABOUT YOU WHAT HAVE YOU GOT PLANNED?

TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK

HI ELLIE

HOW ARE YOU?

I'M FEELING A LOT BETTER TODAY. NOT AS UNCOMFORTABLE AS YESTERDAY! BACK AT WORK THOUGH! WORST LUCK! I'VE BEEN A BIT DOWN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS. A BIT TEARY AS WELL! GETTING THINGS BACK TO NORMAL IS WORKING AT THE MOMENT BUT WILL PROBROBLY HAVE A FEW OFF DAYS AS WELL!

HAVE YOU GONE BACK TO WORK YET?

HOPE YOUR OK

THE BEST NEWS!

Post by NICKID »

HIYA LAURIE

I'VE JUST REPLIED TO YOU ON THE IVF FORUM, THINKING YOUR B/W WAS TOMORROW!

THAT'S THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD IN AGES! I'M REALLY PLEASED FOR YOU AND YOUR DH  BET YOU WANT TO SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS! THE HPT YOU DID WAS BOB ON AS WELL!!

YOUR RIGHT TIME HAS FLOWN BY SINCE WE 1ST JOINED THE SITE AND 1ST MAILED. A LOT HAS HAPPENED SINCE THEN! (YOUR BFP!! HEE! HEE!) IT'S ALREADY ALMOST A WEEK SINCE I DID EC! ANY GOOD TIPS ON WHAT TO DO OR NOT TO DO ETC? (SEEN AS YOUR GOOD AT IT! HA!)

PLEASE KEEP ME INFORMED HOW YOU GET ON, NOT SURE HOW WE LOST EACH OTHER. THINK I KEPT ON THE INTRODUCTION FORUM A BIT TOO LONG! (SEEMS TO BE LOADS OF PEOPLE ON THE OTHER FORUMS AND IT GETS A BIT TOO MUCH) IT'S GREAT TO HEAR THAT THIS THING ACTUALLY WORKS AND IS KEEPING ME POSITIVE!

CONGRATULATIONS!

ALL MY LOVE NICOLA XXX

Hey Nikki
thanks for your congrats, i still cant believe it
After ET i did best rest for 4 days and have been laid back and chilled since then, letting dh do house work ect, but thats pretty much what i did on my other cycles.
I honestly believe when its your time it will happen, but you have to believe it yourself, really be mega posative, tell yourself your preggers all the time, and it will happen...im proof of that :D
Please keep me posted on your progress... im always on the June/July thread on the general forum.

Love Laurie xx
