I have no idea why at NCCRM they call for 2cc of PIO for FET and 1cc forIVF. I only know I'm not looking forward to that part.
I also agree that the MD at NCCRM is a bit of a jerk. I'm a nurse & he reminds me of a lot of the surgeons I've worked with. Or Dr. House from the TV show. For some reason my husband loves the guy and is convinced that we've finally found the clinic that will get me pregnant. I was ready to go forward with adopting a little girl from China, now I'm on this refund program to try IVF 3 times in a year -get pregnant or your $ back.
I also really wish I could just go ahead & start this cycle. And if this FET doesn't work I'll be ready to do the next IVF cycle asap. Right now, it's so hot here there's nothing I want to do outside and I'm really bored. I'm ready for something good to happen -like a baby.
That's exactly how I feel!! I want to start fet NOW!!!! It doesn't help that I have to go to an post ivf consult and to a fet consult before they'll even give me any info on fet. And, my dr. is out of town till Wednesday! How dare he go out of town right now! LOL. Oh well, it's just a few weeks of doing nothing and then once all of the drugs start I think it will go quickly. I'm thinking of taking a trip to go visit my brother and his family in the meantime. Maybe that will help....

It's so great to hear so many success stories!! That is very encouraging. I have had 3 failed iui's, 1 failed ivf---well, actually I got a positive preg test, but beta never increased (chemical preg???) I have 5 frosties in the freezer and am scheduled to put 2 or 3 back this Saturday!! I am praying that it works this time....I definitely feel much more relaxed this cycle...have a doctors appt on Thursday, which is when I think that I start the POI shots (2 cc's/day)!! Good Luck to all of you going through FET's!!! Wishing many BFP's to you!!!

I've really enjoyed this thread & I think it's really helped me to stay positive! I think I'm going to tune out for a while & think about other things. I have 20 days now until my FET cycle starts. I've learned that during "downtime" I need to not even look at this site or else I just stay too obsessed with with whole baby thing. We've been TTC for 7 years now, it gets old -so for the next 20 days I'm just going to go to work, go to yoga, then hang out at the pool.
Best of luck to all of you, enjoy your lives until the next cycle start! Stressball, thanks for asking the question out loud!
You'll hear from me again in a few weeks,
2nd timer
I'm a FETTER (I like that term!) who got a BFP after my first fresh BFN. I had one embie transferred and voila, BFP.
I have to say that after my BFN I started to freak out and get down that the process would not work for me, but I made a conscious decision to try to reduce stress and get healthy for my FET. An added bonus is that FET is much easier than a fresh cycle!
Good luck, there are many many FET success stories!
I will have to ask my husband about the protocol we did for the FET a couple of years ago. I know that while we were on vacation in Vermont(in the boonies) I had to go get my blood tested for the estrogen and progesterone levels(at the time I was just wearing 2 patches). My estrogen was so low that they had to add pills to the mix. I would suggest( if they don't test your estrogen /progesterone) you get it tested.
I remember shots in the belly(Lupron) and then the Follistum and the Progesterone shots twice a day in the hinney. I also had such low progesterone that I stayed on the needle from Aug to middle of Novemeber.(way past week 10 when your placenta starts to make progesterone. ) My level never went above 30 until about week 16.
