The nasal spray basically puts you into a menopause like state (no hormones) so you can start fresh from a baseline. This way there is more control over the hormones.

It is used for other things like endometriosis as well.

Started my period on Sunday, woohoo! I'm now scheduled for my second trial transfer on the 16th. I'm worried that they still might not see my left ovary. If it is adhered to my colon (again) I'll have to go back into surgery to have the adhesions removed.

How exciting! I hope your consultation goes well.

I'm so glad to hear your not hypersimulating! I know that was something you were worried about. I can't wait to hear how your Wednesday appointment goes. Wishing you the best! :D

Hello, girls!!

Hello, ladies.
How is everybody doing?
My news... I now have about 13 eggs with dimensions between 12 and 15 mm. I don't think that the doctor counts the exact number of eggs. Anyway... Friday is the last ultrasound...
Happy for stopping the shots on Saturday, but I am starting to get really anxious about the result of all this... We are getting closer to the result... :?

Jen, thanks so much for the wishes!
The ultrasound showed that we are progressing slowly. I am waiting for the clinic to call me about the results of the bloodwork. The doctors believe that I will have to do the shots until Sunday ( :( ), instead of stopping them today, as they last told me.And that means that they won't take the eggs on Monday, but on Tuesday or Wednesday. But we are waiting for the bloodwork results in order to make the final decision. I am so nervous.... And in pain as well....Small room, big eggs..
Anyway, today I am going to an island for the weekend, because my husband's boss is getting married there. Think it will be nice to get away. Due to the efforts for getting pregnant, we have to save money and we do not go anywhere...Everything is paid from the boss, so.... :P

Hello, ladies.
How is everybody doing? Long time since we last talked.
I would like to share with you my latest news.
Today, the took 10 eggs, while I was sleeping! I am in pain and bloated since then, but doctor says I will feel better tomorrow. We will see..
Tomorrow, I will call the clinic, to learn how my eggs are doing. If all goes well, they will put them back on Friday...
Doctor is optimistic, but I am scared....

So does this mean you’re in your 2ww? If so I could only imagine what you’re going through right now. Just try to keep yourself calm and relaxed through this time. Watch some movies, heck take a couch vacation! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you :D !

My update:
Unfortunately I have no good news. I had my second trial transfer last Monday and this time he couldn't find either ovary. Were going to try medication to stimulate my ovaries and hopefully bring them out of hiding. We also got hubbys test results back and they were not what we were hoping for. He has very low motility and will be going in for a testicular biopsy. I'm starting to feel like the odds are against us  . I'll post when I have more news.

Hello, Jen

Hello, Jen.
Yes, I am actually in my 2WW. Tough, but all I can do is wait. Days seem like months suddenly! And it is so hot again! I have a big problem with extreme heat. It is impossible for me to function! So, for the most of the day I am in the bedroom, where there is the aircondition!!!
Everything went perfect, according to the embryologist. I had 8 eggs fertilized. They didn't even need to do ICSI! The sperm was great this time! The fertilization was perfect, she says. So we frozed 5 and put back in me 3. All that is good, but I am very scared. You never know what will happen. They only thing that comforts me is that we have the frozen embryos.

Enough about me.
I am sorry to hear that your news are not very good. But, please, never feel that the odds are against you.
Firstly, think that there are solutions to your problems! Imagine if there was no solution!!!
Second, you never know the final result. How many times haven't we seen everything to go perfect (like this time went for me), but with a negative result?
And how many times haven't we seen couples with many problems, but with positive result?
So, never lose hope. Believe that you will definately be a mummy!!! Because we all here deserve it!!!
Best wishes from me. Be strong. I am here for you, if I can help you in any way.

Hi there. I am also new and hoping for a summer baby! I am 27 and my DH is 36. We have been TTC for 3 years and decided to finally get to the bottom of what our issue is. We discovered that my DH has very low motility and a sperm count that is borderline average (could be better...but not bad). So we spent a lot of time researching adoption b/c I didn't know if I was strong enough to go through IVF (we actually need to do ICSI). I was afraid of it not working, etc...just scared. After about 2 months of contemplating, I figured that I owed it to me and my DH to overcome my fears. We SOOO want our own baby. We will adopt in the future, but I feel like since I am still young, my odds are better now than they will ever be.

So, I am waiting for Aunt Flow. She will pay me a visit in the next week. Then I will officially be on the ICSI track.

I am so glad to have this message board. You gals are such a great support group.

Thank you for your comforting words. I know what you mean and I do need to stop thinking negative thoughts. I'm really trying to have a positive outlook; I need to if I want this to work. How are you holding up? This is got to be the worst part of the whole process. I'm a very impatient person so I don't know how I will be during the wait. I do know I'll be taking my vacation time and keep myself on the couch for those 2 weeks, anything to better the odds. What have you been doing in these 2 weeks?

Christin
Welcome to the boards! Please feel free to jump in with any questions and tell us what your experiences are. At the rate I'm going you might get to egg retrieval before I do so I would love to hear about it.

A little more update
I talked to my IVF coordinator and we figured if my period is regular I should start the meds August 6; 2 weeks of BCP and 2 weeks of fertility medication a total of 1 month time. That would put us about the first week of September for egg retrieval. We also scheduled hubby's biopsy for August 17th. I was really hoping they could get him in sooner so I'm going to try calling tomorrow to see if that's possible.

-Christin-Welcome and good luck!

-Jen-2WW are difficult, but what can we do? I have been doing the same thing since the beginning of IVF. I have left my job and just stay at home. I am not in bed, I do whatever I feel like-which is actually not much, as this summer must be the hotest ever here in Greece! I absolutely hate it!!!! And on top of the extreme heat, I also have hot flashes!!!

Most of my friends have children and they are on vacation with their families. So, I spend most of the time on my own. My parents come every day, to keep me company-but we live far away from each other. Truth is that when I got married, I moved where I live now and all of my friends live far away!!! I have no one here!

So, the situation is difficult for me, but I am very patient person...I can handle it...I am so scared of the negative result...

-Your news seem good! August 6! It's getting closer!!!! Be happy and have a positive attitude. Everything will go perfectly!!![/b]
