this may be a dumb question but is it ok to have a doubling time less than 48 hrs??? if your doubling time is in the 30's is that ok cause looking back at my betas im not sure if they should be higher or not i had my 3rd beta yesterday and it 3459 the 2nd beta was 445 and the first beta was 85 so is that all normal? ugh i read way too much which in turn makes me worry more, the internet has too much information lol....

Brandi- Can you tell me how long you spotted- how many days and how often during the day? My Re is not too worried about my spotting, BUT I AM!!!
It has been brown about three times and bright pink once. I'm scared to go to the bathroom!! Any help would be appreciated!!

jeneden i spotted maybe three times but mine was always light pink i only had it bright red once but never brown the spotting stopped immediately after they uped my dosage of progesterone. they told me they thought it might have been from having a thin lining and my progesterone at the time of spotting was 25 now its gone and my level is 45. but after doing alot of reading it is common for some women to spot while in the first trimester and sometimes a lil in the 2nd also. i also read that a couple of women had spotting the whole pregnancy and mom and baby were fine so..try not to stress especialy if your doc isnt worried about it. the more you stress the more stress you put on lil baby so try to relax... like i am one to talk about worrying ahaha im terrified about my 5wk ultrasound tomorrow i pray they see something in there... so good luck on your second beta and it looks like your first one is good my first beta was 85 so your ok!! just try and relax and good luck on your second beta ill be praying for you!

oh i forgot to add, i only spotted a lil and it was in the early morn the rest of the day i had nothing... hope that was helpful

okay so I am hoping for nothing but BFP for everyone testing.

but now I must vent.

Today I kept thinking why isn't my doc doing another beta to see if it doubles, why isn't he even going to check my progesterone. So I called my friend who has been through this and she said I should call the office an insist that they do it. Then I also notice the when the crinone came out this afternoon is had a slight pink look to it.

Now I know maybe I over analyzed all this stuff, but you guys know that is they way we are. I call the doc office. and tell them what is going on and asked if I could please take another test. I don't care if it cost me more it for only peace of mind. She tells me to hold then says you must go home right away and start beds rest immediatly. I am like WHAT!?! I am not really spotting just the crinone is tinged pink. She said go home and lay down I will call the doc.

So the doc isn't even in the office. I am freaking out. Not to mention that she was not very nice. Finally she calls and says the doc says you don't need the test and the pink is normal. THE END

I was thrown back. I don't like my clinic.

elvisbaby, ok so i have just one small question...what is crinone????? i would be irritated also if i got treated like that by my clinic well i hope all gets better? how many betas have they done for u?

Morning all, well today is the 2nd day of my beta, im at my clinic a 9.50am, ive never got this far before so feeling very nervous.

Please all keep everything crossed for me and i will post as soon as i get the results.
By the way my clinic doesnt test for progersterone levels either, and is only doing 2nd beta ckeck cos of previous chemical pregnancy.

hi everyone,
sorry to break up the party, but...
didn't wait till thursday morning to do the hpt, but did it this morning instead and got what I suspected: bfn -
will still go tomorrow for the b/w just to confirm this sad, but true fact. It would be a miracle if it were positive tomorrow, but I'm not holding out much hope for that. Can't help but be endlessly sad right now.

From the bottom of my heart, I'm truly so happy for all of you who had success this time around. I wish you all the best for smooth and trouble free pregnancies and all the joy that comes afterwards.

Thank you all for the conversation and support these past weeks. It made things so much easier to know I wasn't alone.

Hon i dont know what to say, im very sad for you. I want to say wait for tomorrows test because you dont know for def yet, but i dont want to give you false hope either. Having said that you have had no negative bleeding or anything like that have you, so the test could be wrong!
MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.
Please post tomorrow to let us know official result.

Elvis - is there a Quest Diagnostics lab or any other independent lab around where you live. Maybe you could go to one of those and have the bloodwork you want done.

Laurie - I've got my fingers crossed for you today. Think big numbers!

Brandi - I hope you see something really cool in your u/s today! BTW crinone is a progesterone gel vaginal suppository. My clinic will switch me over to this in a couple days if my bloodwork looks good. No more PIO shots!

Amy- you've been so positive for me and I don't have the words to give you comfort. I'm soooooooo sorry!!!! Please know that you are in my thoughts. This whole process STINKS!!! Will you try again if your b/w confirms it to be negative?

Elvis- Can you go to your ob/gyn and have a second test? Your clinic sounds horrible. Mine is soooo great!! They really take care of me!! You could insist on a second beta- for all the $$ you've paid, that's ridiculous!

Please keep you fingers crossed- the spotting is virtually gone- just a teeny, tiny little brown, and I am WILLING that to go away.

Thanks everyone for your words. I called my ob/gyn right away who I love and trust and told him of my situation. He said not to worry that I am far enough along and the numbers looked really good. He was very encouraging and it made me feel better.

With this clinic it seems that they are not used to a very proactive patient who questions everything. They are not receptive at all. Even when I insisted on having it done they said you don't need it. I was tired of trying to argue with them. My stress level was just escalating and I just knew I had to calm down.

This was the only clinic near our home so we thought we would give it a shot, but we know better now.

Amy - Sorry to hear of your negative HPT, but I would wait for the "official" word. If it ends up being a BFN, know that many girls have to go through a few cycles for success and hope that this works for you on the next round. Good luck to you.

I think at a certain point, betas are not as important. I am not sure when this is though. I am sure early on they want to see them doubling and then they eventually drop off - most likely after first ultrasound. For those who are worried about them, just be sure to take care of yourself and keep as mentally preoccupied as you can.

I test tomorrow and honestly I do not feel any different. This is discouraging, but I have no reason that it would be a BFN as much as a BFP. I guess it will be 50/50 chance and I will know soon enough. Anyone else testing tomorrow?
