JulieBoo, Well done with your first U/S. I am afraid I dont know much about OHSS but I know most clinics monitor very closely for it. I really do hope your cycle is able to progress!

Angela, I agree with the other girls too. Your clinic now has to prove what you said was unjustified! Keep us up to date with the grovelling and sucking up they do!

Hello Kitty: I wish I understood more about the physiology of all this stuff but I really dont understand enough to explain your AF. From other posts I think as long as the lining still looks good and your follicles are growing then they may say you are OK to proceed. If not, then it gives the docs time to devise a new protocol specifically for you based on your experiences this time. I hope you get the results you want at your U/S tomorrow - I also hope you are able to have a wonderful birthday regardless!!!!!!!!!

I have just given myelf my HCG shot. I had to mix the pregnyl with sodium chloride. The pregnyl ampoules need to have the glass top snapped off. Ladies beware....the glass shattered and cut my thumb and forefinger!!! Had to get DH to break the other two ampoules so I would still be able to do the injection without further injury! 36 hours until Egg Retrieval.............

Cross your fingers for me!

Thinking of you all....

Hi Kim
Novarel is another Brand name for HCG, same as Pregnyl. (I just did a google search on it)
Hope you are well.

Dear Tracey,

I wish that your follies give you beautiful strong eggies…Just keep calm and let your DH tell you as much stupid jocks as possible…You are most important with that precious cargo, but our dear DH’s suffer too…Telling stupid jocks calm them down…

Tracey and others...I know it doesn't help much now but next time buy some gauze and wrap the neck of the amp loosely. Then snap the neck. this will help contain the glass...AND save fingers. Please tell me they gave you a filter to draw it up with or you risk getting shards of glass in your syringe and injecting that! Crazy they'd give you something like that in a glass amp...here in the states, they don't even like to give those to trained nurses because of the risk associated with them!!! Good luck! Hopefully you won't need my advice next month!!!!

Welcome Kate!

Pequele

I called the clinic first thing this morning and they told me the HCG ampoules are awful in glass but not to worry, there was no danger posed by the potential shards of glass in my injection. I am with the doc tomorrow so will ask for clarification. I dont even want to think of what shards of glass could do in my body!!!!!!

Hope you are all having a good day.

How did your scan go HelloKitty?

How's everyone doing today?

Kate, welcome aboard!

I went in for another U/S and E2 today. My E2 numbers were up just a little bit from yesterday, so that's a good thing. I have to go back in tomorrow. Thank whomever that I'm not working right now.

Yours truly in utter and complete Harry Potter obsession (I even went to the midnight show last night),

SOOOO how was it????????????? :D

Tracey, didn't want to scare you, just want you to be safe!! I'm glad they give you the assurance you have no chance of getting glass in the syringe, but working in healthcare, I have seen horrible technique by some nurses and have seen glass fall into ampules if not properly open and drawn up right....just keep an eye out for floaters, but I am positive you'll be fine!!! You're a pro!!! Ampules bite and they should be outlawed haha.

Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well. Kinda sleepy so well catch up with the personals in the morning. Today was extremely long and could have been the worst birthday ever but DH pulled it out of the fire. I went to my u/s and b/w. Follies barely grew and they was a heated debate regarding scrapping my cycle. They wanted to see the results of the bloodwork. My E2 levels were finaly going up. So, they are going to give me 2 more days to see what happens. They don't want to up my meds because of the PCOS and fear of OHSS. So, left there and my car wouldn't start...in the pouring rain!!! I'm totally crying. Finaly calm down and AAA comes to give me a jump start. Bought a new battery for the car and went home and cried ont he couch. DH leaves work early to suprise me for my birthday. We do a scavenger hunt in the house. I end up with a ton of little gifts that he remembered me talking about month's ago. He buys me a beautiful dress and off we go to dinner. I come home and he suprises me with a new laptop...so sweet as I would always steal his!

Well, I eneded up having a cool birthday and trying to keep that PMA going.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi ladies,

I had my first follies count yesterday and it seams like I have 6 in my left ovary and 4 in my right. That is 3 more than the last time, but the really good news this time is that they are all kind of a same size (10-14mm). I feel ok, the only worst thing this time are bruises on my tummy; probably from the fact that I am injecting myself 4 times a day…
I hope that everyone is doing great…
:D
