Phew - 12 week scan!

Post by Tracey S »

Phew -

all over - sorry it's taken a while - didn'g get to work until 12 and then had to do some work - I ask you.
You were all right and I was wrong - I am 11.5 not 12 but that 's what the notts infertility clinic had given me as took it from transfer less 2 weeks. I kept adding the 2 extra days from lmp because sounds better.
EDD is now 30th Jan but were happy to say 28th - I left it at 30th.
Scan was FAB - how much do they grow - baby badger was asleep or napping which is more than me last night ( I had been sick at the roundabout on the way in!) and then woke up when was prodded - did a somersault and then was jumping around a bit - kept sitting bolt upright and then coughed. The ears and the nose were so clear and the eyes and the heart is amazing isn't it? Have some great photos. Then did the nuchal and my risk ( I am 37 tomorrow guy!) has gone from 1:169 to 1:694 so I am very happy with that and won;'t have anymore tests for Downs.
September 8th is my 20 week scan - seems like ages away - thanks for all the support - another hurdle over.
Love
Tracey
xxx

That is just FANTASTIC news - how wonderful & what a huge relief!!

Can't wait til we can see our baby - bet you have had a few tears ??

So what if you're 37 tomorrow, the odds are still really good for you so you can park that particular worry!! (I'm sure you'll find another one to fill its place!!)

Seems a bit cruel to prod babies to make them wake up?!!!! You'd be arrested for doing such a thing in the "outside" world I'm sure!!

FAB NEWS - COULDN'T HAPPEN TO A NICER, MADDER, BADGER!!
Lots of Love - Jo. XXXXXXX

Hiya

I'm sure I've had the odd 10 mins or so when I've relaxed and not worried about anything!!!!!!!!! The best time is immediately after a scan or doctors appointment when you know everything is OK. It sometimes takes as much as 3 hours to start worrying again! :)

Helenx
