Michelle - Thanks for the info re the photo. I let my DH do most of the 'technical' stuff. Not very good at it! Will look into it though. (When I get time of course Jenna will probably be in school by then)

Christine - Im keeping up with your news on the general forum. Sending lots of sticky baby dust for you. Great to hear Meagans doing well with her talking. I think you're right that they focus on one thing. Jenna makes a lot of noise rather than actually talking. She has definately focused more on the walking side of things I certainly have my hands full!

Justine - Its great to hear of the miracle babies (Especially to me due to male factor infertility, but it would be an unbelievable miracle if it happened to us!) I can imagine you do have your hands full! Sophie sounds very bright, saying her first word at 3 months wow! Glad to hear your postnatal anxiety is getting better. Take care.

Ogr1 - Happy Birthday to your grandaughter! Kids parties are great fun arent they? We took Jenna to my friend's daughter's 2nd birthday party on Sunday. She loved it. (I think her daddy did just as much as she did! But he's just a big kid himself).

Hi everyone,
It's been so quiet in here again but i suppose the age our not so little ones are it's hard to get anything done.
Kady was 11 months on Thursday, i really don't know where the time has gone, it's just going by so fast. It was around this time last year (the 24th) that my maternity leave started, and i still can't believe it will be Kady's 1st brithday next month.
We are still trying to decide what to do for her birthday and what to get her. Michael is a fitness instructor at the gym and his boss has said we can have the main hall and they will set up all the soft play stuff for us if we want.
Michael has been thinking about a swing and slide set for her birthday, so i have been looking on the net to see what i can find and got the shock of my life at the price of some of them, the one that really made me gasp at was absolutely massive, had a cubby house on top, big twisty slide, climbing frame, swings etc, all for a measly price of 32 thousand
Don't think we will be getting her that one

Kady is really keeping me on my toes now, she started crawling last week and is getting into everything she's not meant to. Her favourite place is the tv stand where all the dvds are and games consoles, sky box etc. She loves pulling the games and dvds out and pressing the button on the xbox 360 to switch it on and see the lights flash. She also knows exactly what button on the nintendo wii to press to eject the game.
She such a cheeky wee monkey, she knows she's not allowed to but will go over there anyways, put her little hand on somthing, look at you and shake her head, i shake my head back and say no ... then she gets the cheekiest grin and do what she was shaking her head no at, lol.

Better run, she's up to mischief again.

Hi Ladies - It's nice to hear updates about your little ones! It's such a fun time for them as they change so much and amaze us every day. My daughter Meagan is almost 17 months old and just about ready to walk on her own - but not yet. She is so happy and smart. She understands so much of what we are saying even though she can't communicate like we do yet. I've started her in an interactive music class and tomorrow we start a swim class at the local YMCA.

I have my Beta Blood Test tomorrow to see if our new attempt at baby #2 has worked. I've had plenty of symptoms and multiple positive HPT tests so I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant but don't know by how much.

Michelle - I must say our daughters both have similar interests as far as the XBOX 360 - She loves pressing the button to turn it on and watch the lights blink. She also loves the remote controls! She loves pulling things out of drawers and magazines and catalogs out of the holder. What a fun age! I must say your pict of Kady is soooo cute!

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to check in to say that we are trying "again" for Baby 2. I recently had a frozen cycle that ended with a BFN. This is our last attempt at trying and I'm hoping the fresh cycle gives us another gift.

Siena is 16 mos now and very active. Although she pointed at the moon last night and said "ball." It took us quite awhile to convince her that it was not a ball. She loves her tree swing and kiddie pool. My childhood years continuously flash before me.

Congrats and have a healthy pregnancy Christine.

My cycle begins June 4.

Michelle - I hope Kady had a wonderful 1st birthday. Hasnt time flown? I love the pics of her on your signature. You think shes causing mischief now shes crawling...wait until shes walking and climbing!!

Christine - Hope you are enjoying your pregnancy and looking after yourself. Sounds like Megan has an active social life! What is it with remote controls?? Jenna's just the same. She now also knows the difference if we give her one which doesnt change anything on the tv and has a bit of a tantrum if she cant have one which 'works'

Sher - Wishing you all the best for your next IVF attempt. Fingers crossed this is the one. Jenna is also very active, like Siena. I dont know where she gets her energy from. They are great fun at the moment. arent they?

Jenna is so funny at the moment. If you ask her to dance, she sways her body from side to side, its so cute! She loves balls. Shes now kicking her big ball around the living room. She also copies words we say to her and seems to understand a lot more. Shes now started climbing on some of the furniture. She will climb on the settee and sit back proudly as if she's copying us! She loves animals. Although she calls them all cats!! She does however take a little while longer to settle on a night at the moment and wakes up crying a bit as if shes having nightmares? Has anyone else had this?

Hiya everyone,
wow it's been quiet in this thread again.

Kim - I think Kady did have a good birthday, she got a lot of attention and was spoilt rotten, but still too young to really understand what was going on. I on the other hand had a rotten day, we decided to have a BBQ and friends and family came over, i was stuck in the kitchen most of the time pre-cooking the chicken, making dips and salads etc and no-one thought to come in and tell me food was ready on the BBQ so most of it was eaten by the time i got outside. Michael's 4 year old neice took it upon herself to start opening Kady's presents while i was in the kitchen and Michael was outside, her mother didn't even stop her, i was not happy about it and told her off myself.
The whole day ended up like a normal BBQ we have every summer where all the adults just come for a free feed and sit and get drunk til the early hours of the morning. I didn't really want the BBQ as i knew it would turn out this way, i just wanted the 3 of us to go out for the day but Michael said we should have the family day out the following day. We did and went to a safari park and it was a brilliant day, made up for the disappointment i had the day before. Sorry for the rant.
Is Jenna still waking in the night? Kady has been doing that aswell, just wakes up really crying and it takes ages to get her settled again, it's not often though, i thought it was maybe a nightmare aswell so you're not alone in thinking this.

Kady's 13months tomorrow and i still can't believe where the time has gone. I don't think she is far away from walking, she walks round the furniture and across the room holding on to her walker. She also stands without support but just hasn't managed to take a step on her own yet.
She is saying a few words aswell, she'll say boo baw for blue ball, she tried to say yellow and it came out as yeoh. One of my cats is called Cray and she calls him Cay and as soon as she sees Winnie the Pooh she shouts Pooh. I laughed the other day at what she said, she always cries when she gets her hair washed, so i was drying it with a towel and she was still crying a little, she looked up at me and said ba mama which i took to mean Bad Mama.
I'm still breastfeeding and thinking about weaning her now, she's only on 3 times a day, morning, before her afternoon nap and before bed at night. I'm thinking about gradually cutting out the 2 daytime feeds but not sure how to go about it. Anyone have any tips on weaning from the breast? Or would it be best until she decides herself?

Hi Ladies

Gosh - it's an absolute age since I've had the time to come and sit, read and actually reply.

My little one is going great guns at the moment - having mastered the art of walking she has quickly progressed to a run and it is really funny watching her little legs go, go, go - unfortunately her body doesn't always keep up!!!

She is definitely taking after her mother in one respect - I studied dance and she has an absolute love of body movements to any kind of music. Her arms start swinging, her legs wiggle and her bottom rocks - her girl love those moves!!!

I can't believe that she has just turned 16 months old - time is fluttering past rapidly, but always there are new discoveries and adventures - this is great fun.

This week we have built her a new playhouse, car and trike - she seems to love the car most at the moment. Mind you with this terrible weather we're having at the moment it is slightly difficult to go and play outside and enjoy her new house.

We go underwater swimming every week and have done since she was 3 months old - she seems to love it and can now jump in from the side of the pool, hold and swim back to me, dive in (well duck dive that is!!) and perform no end of tricks - slightly daunting at first, but now that we are nearing the end of Level 4 she is definitely conquering more and more each week.

She says one or two words and her first phrase has been "I did it"! - I do keep telling her that she doesn't want to admit to doing everything!!!

She is up and down the stairs like a yoyo, seems to be a favourite game - take your eyes off her for a minute and whoosh she's on the run. She loves emptying cupboards and tipping all her toys out and then putting them away again.

Oh, she also nearly has a full compliment of teeth, just a couple to go - I have to say we have been so lucky in that she has only given into the pain on a couple of occasions - fingers crossed these last ones don't make up for that!!!

Anyway, best go and end this long script - sorry to bore you all.

Thanks for the update! Time does go by very quickly, but sounds like you are enjoying every moment. That is great that you have kept up with swimming. Siena and I were in a class at 7 mos. and now I just take her to local pools every now and then. She loves the water. She is also in the phase that I am her #1 person in the world. I never felt so honored and she even gives me these adoring looks every now and then. I just love them and it seems like she knows more than she is letting on. As everyone says "enjoy this time" because they grow up so quickly. I wish I had a dollar for every time someone told me that. It would pay for all the ivf treatments!?!?

Well, I went another fresh cycle in June and got a BFP last week. Still a little early, but I'm going to stay positive. Luckily I did not come down with OHSS as I did on the first round and it hardly seems that I have any signs of pregnancy. DH and I are very excited and I feel so lucky - again! We went into it thinking it was a win/win situation since we already have been blessed with our little girl.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer weather. I just love being outside swimming, digging or just relaxing.

I just wanted to say congratulations on BFP - that's great. I started a FET cycle this month and then suddenly found out I was pregnant naturally - last Weds but am now bleeding quite a lot so I'm pretty sure it's over. Oh well - we'll just have to start again!

Fantastic news - take it easy and good luck with the pregnancy. Fingers crossed you sail through it and have a nice relaxing one!!! Am sure Siena will have other plans and keep you on your toes all the time.

I never realised true contentment until my Little Lady arrived - every day I am given fresh reasons for loving her and enjoying her - like I need them!!! Every minute of IVF - all the ups and downs - have been well worth it.

Although I would love more we have decided that we will settle for one - we feel truly blessed to have her and if it hadn't been for the ARGC then I don't think I would ever have had a lasting pregnancy. After 4 miscarriages the wait was well worth it.

My Little Lady is starting to really communicate now and when I open the front door she charges out with the expression of "I'm Free" on her face. She is constantly giggling and giving me loads of reasons to smile every day.

I hope that everyone is doing ok and having as much fun as I am.

Hi everyone

Its been ages since I last posted. I do come on regularly to read, but dont seem to get too much time to post (Normally end up replying to a question somewhere on the site and then dont have time to update here!)

Jenna has grown up so much since I last posted. She has a large vocabulary of words now and is starting to put them together. (shut door, mummy is a favourite! As is her new word of the week 'careful'!!).

I have to say, I am really enjoying been a stay at home mum and feel so lucky to be able to. Money is a bit tight, but I wouldnt change it. Some days I admit, can be a bit trying. Jenna is getting to the age where she has more tantrums and nappy changing has become a bit of a nightmare but we have quite an active, enjoyable 'social' life, going to toddler groups, playgym's, the duck pond (It was like a scene from 'The Birds' today, dont think theyve been fed as much as they are during the summer!) the swings, catching up with friends and their kids and I have to say im trying not to think of the future when she starts school and Ill be back working again somewhere. Having a child opens up a new world doesnt it? I cant believe how much enjoyment I get from doing things such as going to the duck pond or swings with her!!


Im so excited about xmas this year. Looking forward to parties at our church and toddler group. Our IVF party as well. I dont know where we will put Jenna's toys from xmas. All her current toys have taken over our living room!

Just a real quickie to drop in and wish you all a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

I keep thinking that 2 years ago Christmas was spent waiting for the deliveries that 2006 would bring and now we're approaching 2 years old and I just can't believe how quickly time is flying by .... whoever said to be sure and remember every day was absolutely right.

Anyway, I'm sure you're all busy with getting everything ready but have a wonderful festive time and here's to a fabulous 2008. Sher, hope everything is going well and fingers crossed for a smooth time ahead.
