AF after IVF

I got a BFN after my first IVF last week. It has been 18 days past ET and still no AF.

Is it unusual for the AF to be this late? Anybody else have/had this situation? I am really worried.

Hi Ammu,
That is a good question? Where you on progesterone oil shots?I got my BFN yesterday. I was on the POil shots and heard it was suppose to delay mensus. So I have not recieved AF yet either. I have been off the POil shots 2 days. Did you take a HPT?

Sorry Ammu & Marmey, I cant help u guys, I was of Prometrium 200mg in the 2ww, however I started spotting on the day of my beta on Thur 12 & yday I started full flow. The AF is more painfull & heavy flow than the regular times....

I was also on PIO shots. It has been 5+ days since I stopped it and yet no signs of AF. My RE's office did a bloodtest 14 days past ET and said it is a BFN. I haven't taken an HPT since. Do you think I should take it now or wait for some more time? What do you plan to do?

Hi Ammu,
I am also 18 days post ET. I got my BFN on Thursday. I never did a HPT for fear of jinxing myself. Now I wish I had. I swore I was pregnant, but it must have been side effects from the Progesterone oil shots. I stll have no sign of AF either. My BB are still sore. Maybe it takes a couple of days for the oil to work its way out of your system. Part of me feels now I should have done a HPT just in case they were wrong and I was preg (last bit of hope and wishful thinking) not to go off the progesterone supplements. I do not think a pregnancy through IVF can go on without the progesterone supplements. Anyway, I am off to a baby shower today. I almost was not going to go. But I have to. It is my sister inlaw and her 2nd child so only 5 people are going.

OK I think AF is on the way fo me. I have been experiencing the worst cramps ever!
