Betty - we are in EXACTLY the same boat. I am 35, my DH is 62 (the same age difference between you and yours). We have now been through 5 IVF rounds. Three we had early miscarriages as you've just had. We are trying to figure out why this is happening.
As with your DH, mine had a vasectomy reversal (12 years after his original vasectomy). Our first RE told us exactly what yours told you - that over that period of time the body likely built up antibodies against his sperm. So, like you, we were told that ICSI was our only route. That is what we've done. We've had good fertilization and apparently great looking embryos eachtime. We achieved pregnancy 3 times but then had early miscarriages. And each time we are told that there must be some chromosomal abnormality in the embryos. The only question they haven't been able to answer is whether it is the sperm causing the problem or the eggs.
My DH just found research on the weekend that suggests that males who have had reversals performed after a prolonged period have a higher chance of chromosomal abnormalities in their sperm. This is the article...

Perhaps before starting into your next cycle you could ask for testing on the sperm to see whether any of these abnormalities exist. I am meeting with my RE on July 24 so we are going to push this testing. I would hate for you to go through what we have if the problem resides can't be fixed through ICSI and resides in the sperm.
We've been to two clinics and neither one suggested this as a possibility but I suppose the research is fairly new (June 2006).
Best of luck and let me know if you find anything else!
