Question - AF post IVF

Hi,

I have read a few posts where women have said that their AF/bleed right after their IVF BFN was really heavy. My last two cycles (chemical pregnancies) my AF was really light. In fact the first time I wasn't worried about a miscarriage because it was so light. Then 4 weeks later I got my next AF which was normal for me.
Do you think that the fact my AF was so light right after IVF is an indication of something? Low hormones, thin lining? During my ultrasounds before ER the doctors have always said that my liniing looks great.
Any idea why this would be?

Hi Kelly,
I am not an expert here, but were you on progesterone oil shots? I have read some women are and some not afer ET. The reason I am asking is the progesterone oil is suppose to make your lining all fat, so I would think that would create a heavy flow.

I was on progesterone suppositories which I think are supposed to do the same thing. That is why I am wondering why my flow was so light?

kelly - my AF was light after my IVF and its interesting about marmey's suggestion that the heavier AF may be down to the oil as i used pessaries too....anywya, would be interested to hear what other people have to say.
