I know everyone says this but I can't believe I'm here. Felt I should hold off a little longer before posting as its such early days but decided that I can't live from worry to worry (what a load of rubbish - of cousre I will). Only found out today so have scan booked for 2 weeks time. Clinic dont do blood test. Does anyone know how pg I am??? doesnt IVF play weird tricks on normal time??? JO JO JO I AM SO PLEASED FOR YOU!!! THIS IVF IS WEIRD WE WAIT FOR AGES TO HAVE OUR DREAM COME TRUE AND WHEN WE DO FALL PREGNANT WE JUST DON'T BELIEVE IT. MY CLINIC DIDN'T DO BLOOD TESTS BUT THEY DO A SCAN IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND THEY CONFIRM IT THEN. I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU, WELCOME TO THE OTHER SIDE. LOVE SHELL. 12 WKS PG XX

Jo - many many congratulations! I know what you mean - you see the stick and you can't believe it's a positive! To calc your dates, you need to count back 2 weeks from ET, then count forward. So if you had et 2 weeks ago today, you're 4 weeks pg! Well done, congrats and take it easy! love Sally xxx (10 wks)

Thankyou so much for your congratulations - 4 weeks - Wow!! Seems weird, mind you never was any good at maths!! I have of course bought another p/test at lunchtime just to make sure and yep ...... still pg, so far so good. A wonderful experience. Just feel so fortunate. Jo. XXXX

Hi Jo, Congratulations!!! It may take a while to sink in and I found the 2ww before the first scan (6 week scan) worse than the 2ww folowing the ET!! Strange eh? People (i.e. midwife, doctors,etc) will keep asking you when was your last LMP - as Sally said, take the date of your ET and count back 2 weeks. That is your 'LMP' but of course you won't have had one for a while. That's the date that they use to work out your EDD (i.e. your delivery date). Hope everything goes well at your first scan - it's very exciting! Alison xx

Jo That's so fantastic - what brilliant news!!!!!!!!! Im a major worrier too, so I know what you mean. Try not to, its not good for the baby!!!!!! Now try going shopping without looking at cute things - totally impossible! The great thing is though that you know that in a matter of months, you'll be looking and BUYING them for real!!!!! Hey JO - Fab news!!! Well done - you must be so shocked. I was convinced the pg tests were all wrong, even had my doctor trying to convince me i was def pg. First thing i did was go and look at all the baby stuff in John Lewis - haven't bought anything yet though!! Hi Jo Congratulations & welcome to 'the other side'!!! Whatever the date of your EC was (not ET), count back 2 weeks and that is day one of your pregnancy, so your due date is 40 weeks from EC day. Good luck for your scan and take care. Luv Rachel X (25 wks + 3 days with twins)

Jo Congrats again - have posted on the other side and sent you some e mails as you know! Great to have you here as we more or less cyled together or had the wait - I was FET of course! Thanks everybody - it's just so exciting I can't believe it. Dont really feel any different so far so I'm worrying about that and soon I'm sure I'll be worrying about something else!! Have done 2 tests though and both +!! No-one told me there were a whole new set of worries over on this side ...... I thought it was all plain sailing once that little line showed up on the test!!!! Got a scan on 25th so hoping just to keep a low profile til then and keep that embryo (or embryos - eeek!!) snuggled in. Best of luck with everyone having scans - the relief when they tell you what you want to hear must be wonderful!! Thanks again - its great to come over to this side but still be with people I "know". Hi Jo, Fantastic News - BIG congratulations to you and dh. I've been looking out for your post but must have missed it. Due to the hackers I went across to fertility friends for my cycle as it was right in the middle of my treatment. Anyway I tested positive too, had my scan today and we are expecting twins - can't believe it eek exactly. I am six weeks today so you are not far behind me. Even though we didn't get to be cycle buddies this time round hope we can be bump buddies instead. Good luck with your scan next week its awesome seeing those flickering heartbeats on the screen. Don't worry about symptons I didn't have any either have only just started getting a bit nausea from time to time. take care now lots of love Chrissi
