Hi Brandi
Wow how amazing :D
You must be on cloud 9 at the moment!! waht was it like hearing the heart beat? Was it loud?
Did you get a scan picture? When is your next scan?
Im sooo happy for you, it seems like ages ago when we were stimming on the june/july thread!
Im still ok, just waiting for my scan and hoping that everythings ok in there.
Do you think we will ever stop worrying,? i just want to enjoy this, do you know what i mean?

Congrats again,

Love Laurie xx

A question

Post by laurie35 »

Hello Ladies,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here?
What is the protocol with sex during the first trimester?

My clinic never mentioned it, and ive read alot on these threads that say no to it, so is it a yes or a No?

Just wondering,

By the way im officially 5weeks today and soooooo excited :D

laurie, yes your right i am on cloud nine right now, unfortunaltly because it was an er i didnt get to keep the u/ pic, hearing my babies heartbeat was the greatest sound ever though it was not really that loud but it was picked up and it was great! my next scan is on wed for the 6wk u/s where my doc will video tape it for me. i feel the same way it seems like there is always something to worry about, i think i can finally stop worrying and stressin now that i have seen the ultrasound and seen the babies growth and heartbeat for my own eyes, itdoes seem like for ever since we were stimming but im glad you made it over to this board with me!! im gad your doing wel. i still have no preggo symptoms but i dont care now i know my lil one is ok. im 6wks today and they picked it up at 5wks and 5days. it was amazing. i look forward your post about your scan! have a great day ladies!!

Double Congratulations, Lynn!! That's wonderful...

And wonderful news for you, too, Carebear...

I'm so envious...Want to see how many and its (their) little heart(s)...It will be my turn soon enough, but patience has never been a virtue I've possessed...Just got the call from the clinic, and we're up to Hcg of 1,921.0, so that's definitely a step in the right direction. One more on Wednesday, and then the u/s next week...Still seems like a lifetime away. Dh says we can tell his mom and dad after the 1st u/s when we find out if all is well...He caved from his original 10 to 12 weeks...I was hoping he would, cause I can barely contain myself.

Started having m/s this morning...Not the most pleasant thing in the world, but I'll take it any day over the empty feeling in the pit of my stomach left by the longing for a baby of our own...I'm sure you all know exactly what I'm talking about...Anyway, wanted to say congrats, and life is good...

Hey Sher...Someone on the same schedule, finally...We are all no stranger to the waiting game, and you're right, I should count my blessings that I have been knowing how things are progressing. How are you holding up? Any symptoms yet? I keep getting that watering in my mouth like I'm going to get sick, but thankfully never get to that stage...

This might be tmi, but has anyone else been having body odor issues? I NEVER have odor under my arms, but since I've been pg, I smell every day...Not to the point that others can smell me, but I notice it...It's grossing me out, and I hate smelling...It's weird...It sort of smells like mango, peaches or apricots...Yes apricots! Any tricks or brands of deodorant that might be the magic cure, or am I just insane?

HI all! Had 4th beta done today and it was 11,427 (27dpo). I didn't get the call until 545pm and i almost had a heart attack from the stress it caused me and dh while waiting for the nurse to call. This is definitely a never ending worry fest and all I really want to do is enjoy being pregnant which I can't do b/c of all the worry. Next is U/S for 7/27....a lifetime away!!!

Brandi, congrats on seeing that heartbeat! That's awesome!
Lynne and Dixiegal, congrats on the twins....Very happy for you guys!
Everyone else, hope you're all enjoying this very exciting time of our lives!

Hi Anna, I think we're pretty much on the same schedule. I had my ET on 6/22 as well and had my first blood test on 7/4. I've only had two blood tests, so I've just been in agony wondering if things are moving along or not. I'll be 6 weeks on Wednesday. My first ultrasound is on July 23. I'm so nervous waiting, and have no pregnancy symptoms at all so of course that makes it even worse!

I'm so happy to read all of the good news everyone has had with their ultrasounds. It must be so exciting to see something growing in there and hear the heartbeats. Good luck to you all.

Hi Ladies,

We just got our BFP last week! We are due March 24th. This was cycle number 4 for us and it was an FET with four 5 day blasts transferred. My first three Betas were 47, 150, ad 286. The RE is quite happy with the numbers. All I care about is that they are doubling like they are supposed to. I have had symptoms since the day after transfer. Lots of twinges/ light cramping (doc says it's normal, as the uterus is stretching). Very sore boobs, dizzy/lightheaded much of the day, some slight nausea, and insatiably hungry. Our first ultrasound will be on August 1st. In the meantime, I am thankful to be a SAHM to our 1 yr old DD (we adopted her last year), because I can barely keep myself awake these days!

Congrats to all of you ladies! By the way, does anyone know if my Beta numbers sound like one baby or two?????

Hey Lynn
Congrats on the twins!!! :) Thats so amazing!
Just out of interest, what were your first 2 beta numbers?
They say that alot of the time you can tell weather you have 1 or 2 from that. My first beta was 418, and the 2nd(48hrs later) was 1345.
What do you think?

Hi Prayingforamiracle
congratulations on your BFP!! ...im not that much infront of you, im due on the 16th March. Had 2xblatocysts transfered on the 30th June.
There is a site that can give you an idea on beta numbers.
Its www.betabase.info
Hope this helps

Hi Everyone- I would like to join you all. I have had three betas:
13dpo- 103
15dpo- 207
19dpo- 1466
So, I am tentatively due March 19, 2008. I have been spotting off and on- mostly light- for a week, but my doctors, nurse, and phlebotomist aren't concerned. It comes and goes and is brown. I am hoping that because my betas are doubling and more, that the spotting is not indicative of a miscarriage. Anyone out there have this? I had a miscarriage last November that started with brown spotting, so of course I'm worried. The difference is that last time, my betas didn't rise appropriately. I hope I get to stay with you all for the duration.

Our ultrasound is on Aug. 1st too! I am feeling EXTREMELY tired and EXTREMELY hungry. I also have very sore boobs and I am often dizzy/lightheaded.
