First off, congrats on your wonderful news! Pregnancy is always a time of mixed emotions........... especially the first trimester! You're happy, you're scared, you're doubtful. Just keep in mind, however, that all of these feelings are completely normal. I myself am 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby (through in vitro) and you name it, I've been through it all. No matter how much I've been through, though, there's always somebody out there that's been through worse. I have suffered through 6 miscarriages, the last two were ectopic (one in each tube). I think if you already haven't, you should contact your MD right away. I don't mean to scare you, but it could be a number of things (including an ectopic pregnancy). You're a little early still, but it could also be your uterus stretching (this tends to be more common on the right than the left. No matter what, remember that your physician is always the best one to consult at times like these. I think you should go in for an ultrasound for them to put your fears to rest. Just explain to the office staff that you are having one-sided pain in your lower abdomen. That's always a reason for them to squeeze you in.

I wish you the best and God bless.

I had the same issue at about 6 1/2 weeks. I hadn't done an ultrasound, so I called and went in fearing an ectopic pregnancy. As it turned out my ovaries were still swollen (very mild OHSS) and they think one may have moved a little causing some pain. My pain only lasted that one day though. You should definately get checked out though, just in case.

Same here, I am 7 weeks prego and I have been having some slight cramping and some pain on my left side. I did call me doc immediatley and they said it is very normal because of my OHSS. I also had moderate OHSS and the nurse said I am still swollen and that its just my ovaries. I also freaked out and thought of an ectopic pregnacy but the nurse said not to worry as long as I do not start to bleed or have severe pain that will not go away. My pain comes and goes there are days that they are more frequent and there are days that I do not feel anything. I was reading that every day your baby grows and your uterus expands so that is what the cramping is. But I would not worry I feel the same thing you do. Just have faith and pray. I have my first u/s July 23 this Monday and I can't wait. When are you having yours? Wish me luck and that everything is ok with my baby.
