Warning!!! This post contains WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION. Please skip if you don't want to hear about my bowel troubles.
Okay, so I have only had about two, um, bowel movements in a week. I don't necessarily feel constipated, that is, it's not like I need to go and can't. It's like there's nothing to go, which of course there is considering I eat three meals a day. At first, I was feeling constipated and had to sort of strain to go, but now there's no activity going on at all. I have been on Nexium for many years due to gastritis and heartburn, and now those two things are way worse, even though I'm still on the Nexium. So, my stomach is burning and I keep thinking of all the food that I've eaten and not "gotten rid of" - where is it???? Anyone else having these issues?
Sorry for TMI- but holy crap (pardon the pun)!! :) :)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

jeneden Well, he said not to worry(LOL me?), that it is common in early pregnancy. The nurse said it was possible that we were looking at the emby from a side angle. My next u/s is next Thursday which will be 6weeks, 3days, I'm so anxious to see those hb's!

laurie35 So true! and I feel grateful to be in the information age where I can actually talk (err type) to ladies going through the same thing!

kerribell Sorry about your previous m/c, I can't imagine the added stress of worrying about that. Vacation sounds like an awsome way to relax, have a great time(I'm jealous!)!

IVFMUM Hey we have u/s's on the same day, good luck with yours!

dixiegal1 How exciting that youre far enough along for measurements and such! And ya we asked our RE about when was a 'safe' time to tell people (lol although we've told everyone but dh's parent's since this is their only chance for gbabies) and he said 10-12 weeks. RE also said to refrain from sex until 10weeks. It actually was kind of humorous as DH confirmed "10 weeks?" twice. I wish you the best in trying not to worry but I'm affraid I'm guilty of the same thing! I am shooting for 12 weeks as a good point to relax since chance of m/c is so reduced.

Take care guys!

Oh Jen,

A few days ago I had the worst constipation I have ever had in my life! It started with just not 'going', but then my tummy was relly pooching and I had heartburn feeling like my food wasnt reaching my stomach. I was doing all the things the RE recomended too (lotsa fluids, lotsa fruits, lotsa nuts, yogurt). It finally has gotten better but my nurse said that Colace is a safe otc if taken only as needed. Havent tried it yet, really trying to control it with my eating.

:P May we all poop well!

Hi March mommies!!

Dixiegal - I'm so happy to hear your twins are doing so well. I can only imagine your mixed emotions with your bicornate uterus. Sending you tons of happy stretchy uterus vibes. The uterus is sooooo expansive and some women carry 8!!! You'd think you uterine horn will accomidate those little ones well. I'm glad your RE is taking such good care of you all though.

IVFMUM- welcome! and I totally feel the pain of your nausea. I can barely sit at the computer without throwing up  But worth it and you certainly can't doubt your preggo right??

Crislyn - That's wonderful news they saw a heartbeat!

Kerri - I also went through the fear of mc at the various mc dates I've had in the past. Cramps are soooo normal. You'll be able to relax more after you pass the day and hopefully breathe a good deep sigh of relief. I think it just takes time to get past those memories. But, we'll replace them with the beautiful memories of our new little ones growing inside us :D Have a beautiful trip!

Laurie - when's your first scan?

Jeneden - I'm so sorry you have to deal with spotting. I had it during my entire 1st tri last pregnancy and the baby didn't mind it a bit! I'm sure you'll both do great :D

Art - Congrats! Yes, the worrying will never end! I'm too nauseous to do my obsessive internet searching this pregnancy. It's probably a good thing. DH used to limit my time! I totally agree your change in drugs could be affecting your mood. We weren't sure about my twins until the second US. The 1st at 5 wk6 days he thought the second sac was small and gave the twin only a 50% chance. We had our 2nd US at 6wk 6 days and the twin caught up and had a very strong little heart beat! Don't give up and I'll send you double sticky vibes for your little beans.

Michelle - Hi! I totally remember cycling together. Wow how time flies. I had really funny pains on/off with my last pregnancy. Some really hurt and made me double over! Also, my uterus gets really tender during pregnancy and hurts whenever it's pushed on or my pants put pressure on it. Mayber that's what your feeling. It's edge should be bellow your belly button. I had an ectopic and the pain was very low, kindof close to the bend of your leg (if that makes sense) and it is usually described as a constant aching sensation. It's a deep pressure pain and not usually around your belly button. Just hang on until your US and stop poking your poor belly! I'm sure your baby is fine. (s/he just keeps wondering who it is that keeps poking his/her little house!!!) Only 3 days to see the blinking little heart :D

Lynney - Congrats on your twins!! Are you exhausted? I can barely stay awake and it's much worse than last pregnancy. I feel like I'm on tranquilizers. I'm wondering if it's a twin thing or just me older and lazier!

Ok, dh is bbq'ing and dinner is ready! I never turn down food these days  I'm constantly starving/nauseous and tired! 4 more weeks and I'll be able to rejoin the living. Not that I would trade this for anything in the world! Sending tons of sticky dust to all our wonderful mommies!!!

Thanks for that Daly. My friends husband said their baby was going to come out squinting from all the poking he received in her belly. Yes, I do notice that my tummy hurts more when I'm sitting and my pants are cutting into my stomach. When I unbutton and unzip it feels much better. I'm sure I'll have good news to post on Monday. It's just hard not to worry after going through IVF and you have so much invested in the pregnancy (emotionally, physically, and monetarily). Worrying is just part of the process I guess.

daly- Would you mind telling me a little more about your spotting? Was it everyday? Was it always brown? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Today, it's been a little heavier then usual and was a wine color instead of true brown, and I've had a little cramping.

Kerri -
Have a great vacation. It sounds like a wonderful place to go. Not a worry, ok?

Jen - I believe projesterone creates constipation. I'm sure the doctor can suggest some things to keep you regular.

Still little to no signs of pregnancy here. My re said that kicks in at about six weeks. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones to not get much. I'm looking forward to my first scan on Friday.

1st ultrasound moved up

Post by Prayingforamiracle »

Hi ladies,

Well....I had my 5th Beta this morning. So the results have been as follows:

6dp5dt ---47
8dp5dt ---154
10dp5dt---286
14dp5dt---1520
18dp5dt---5162

So I will be 6w2d on the 29th and they'll do my 1st ultrasound on Monday July 30th. I am so excited/nervous/giddy... I was holding my breath this morning, just praying that everything was okay with my doubling rates. We transferred four 5 day blasts, so the nurse said we'll find out how many buns are in the oven and see a heartbeat (s). I am thinking it's one baby, but I guess you can't really tell from the Beta numbers.

You ladies have been through so much to get your BFPs. I guess we all have. Would you all be willing to pray for me/keep me in your thoughts regarding our first ultrasound? I am really excited, but will feel relieved to see a heartbeat next week. I know you all understand. Anyone else getting the 1st ultrasound on 7/30????

prayingforamiracle, wow your betas look awesome. maybe more than one took! i know it doesnt always mean anything but somewhere i heard that 9 or10dpt anything over200 possibly indicates more than one. ( that doenst always meanis it though.... just an indicator)
Of course we ALL will pray for you. Thats whats so wonderful about this site... everyone on here can understand EXACTLY what your feeling when no one in your family or your friends can.
Good luck on your scan and take a deep breath.

Dixiegal,

Your response made me cry! Thank you for the support. It is true that friends and family who have not gone through IF don't really understand. I think they try but they can't. I am, so happy but I still feel like this pregnancy is surreal (in a good way of course). I just wake up every morning and touch my belly (which for some reason is already starting to pooch outward). I already had to break down and buy some maternity underwear! It seems rather early to be getting so chunky although I was about 20 pounds overweight prior to getting pregnant. Oh well...who cares??? I am growing another human being. I can take the extra weight off after the baby or babies come!

Hey Laurie- I'm sure you're freaking out!! Do you have any cramps? Because I have been spotting for so long, I have scoured the internet on the subject. Every site I go to has many people telling how they spotted during the first trimester. Some started early like me, and some started later like around 6-7 weeks. I wish I had some magical words of wisdom. When you say stringy, do you mean like clotty? Don't worry about TMI, I think we've all been there in one way or another. I will be thinking of you today and tomorrow. Please post as SOON as you hear tomorrow. I'm five hours behind you, so when I wake up tomorrow, I'll see your post first thing. Take Care of yourself!!!

Hi Laurie, I had some light brown spotting last week as well along with some cramping. I had my first ultrasound today and everything was great. We even heard the heartbeat, 101 beats per minute. I feel so much better now, and you will too once you have your u/s.
