Laurie35,

I was just praying for you and the health of your baby and pregnancy. I know it's easy to say, but please, please try not to worry. Stress and worry is not good for you or the baby. The mucus could be attributed to the excess discharge that develops during pregnancy. If you had some old blood, then the discharge could have just mixed with that (sorry to be graphic). If you can try to lie down and elevate your feet. Drink plentyy of water. I spotted for four days and I was truly worried until the RE told me it was quite common. My prayers are with you!

Jeneden - I'm so sorry for my late reply. I'm not on the computer as much lately. My spotting definately changed in color and even had bright red at times and had the wine color. It was daily for several weeks. (especially 1st thing in the morning) The amount also varied. There were times I had mild clots and was sure it was my little baby! I found lying down and keeping hydrated definatley helped. We were put on pelvic rest and I wasn't to do any cleaning or lifting. (would be nice if poor dh had a clue how to clean!!) It finally stopped at week 11. I know some women who have it longer and with cramping. I had round ligament paint around 10 weeks, but no cramping. However, cramping can definately occure and I know plently of women who had painful cramping and were still okay. I think the blood can sometimes be an irritant and also some people just cramp alot 1 st tri from growth. No matter what the cause, I know it's so anxiety provoking and I used to dread going to the bathroom. The funny thing is, with my mc's I only had spotting with one. All the others were painless and no blood. With the most spotting of all my pregnancies the baby was jsut fine! Go figure.
I'm sending you tons of prayers for your US. You'll feel so much better aftr seeing the little one :D

Sher8 - 6 weeks has a lways been my magical week for nauseous retching and enormous fatigue to ensue. Wishing you happy preggo symptoms! or no symptoms, depending on your preference!

Praying for a miracle - We're all praying for your upcoming US. With all this IVF and hormones, I'm already looking 5 months preggo! I think I was showing before I got pregnant  But, as you say, we have plenty of time to get in shape afterwards.

Laurie - What you're describing is so common. I know nothing will put you at ease until your US, but I have every confidence you'll see a wonderful little blinking heart. Take it easy today and stay well hydrated (always good whenever you're spotting) Sending you prayers for tomorrows scan.

Brandi - Don't worry that you're not showing. Most people don't show until 4-5 months. It really is a blessing. As far as ms, not everyone gets that. While I appreciate the constant reminder I am preggo, it really is rough to get through the day. Your best symptom is the wonderful scan you had last week. Did you get to have a picture Sometimes I look at it to remind myself I'm pregnant. It's hard to wrap my mind aroaund it too. I'm really looking forward to the happy little wiggles and kicks. Whenever you feel worried, you can just give a freindly nudge and your baby will let you know they are fine and were probably napping peacefully until your poked at him/her!

I hope all our mommies are doing well :D I'm going to go eat...AGAIN!!

Jeneden, just like you I was sure there wasn't going to be anything there. I was so shocked this morning when I had my ultrasound and my little baby was actually there with it's little heart just beating away! I wish you the best of luck on Wednesday. It will put you at ease to just finally see it with your own eyes!

Shell- Thanks so much-you give me hope!! How exciting to see the heartbeat. When do you go back? How far along are you today? I'll be six weeks on Wednesday, so my nurse made it sound as though we would be just looking for the gestational sac, but seeing a heartbeat would be so incredible!! Congratulations!!!

Michelle - Congrats!!!! What wonderful news.

Jeneden - I got to see one twin's heart beat 5 wk 6 day and the second twin was a sac with a possible heart beat. On 6 wk 6 days both hearts were little blinking Christmas lights! You may very well see your little one's heart beat!! I'm really looking forward to your scan news!!!

Hi Jeneden, I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. I think the heartbeat usually starts around or just after the 6 week point. I go back on August 7th for my second ultrasound. Good luck tomorrow. Can't wait to hear your news!!!

Hi Jen & All
Well i woke up this morning and thankfully had no more spotting.
We went to the hospital to have my scan, im 6weeks and 1 day today.
We were not quite sure what to expect, and i was sooo scared.
She started to scan me and there they were!! 2 sacs 1 18mm the 2nd 16mm.
They said it was to early to proberbly see the heart beats but so far everythin looks great :D
I have got to go back in 1 week as previously planned to have the heartbeat scan, so will have to hold out till then.
Has anyone else seen a heartbeat scan at 6weeks or am i just worringing AGAIN over nothing
Only had alittle spotting this evening. They have uped my pesseries to 3 aday for now, just while im spotting.

Ladies im sooo sorry that i took so long to post back today but dh had to work late on some presentation or somthing!

Hows everyone else?
Jen
Thankyou :)

Laurie xxxx

Brandi, you have every right to be angry. If you feel something isn't right you need to ask questions. And just asking a question isn't crying wolf! I had a doctor like that once, didn't like me asking questions. He's no longer my doctor. :) Anyway, good luck with that.
