Hi Ladies, hope everyone Ok and babies are thriving!

Rittie, good to hear from you. Things look good, glad they were Ok when they had their jabs. A baby in our antenatal group had an allergic reaction to her 12 week jabs and ended up in hospital poor thing. I agree with you that the weather has been pants, but we have managed a few days out, a most recent one to Wisley Gardens. (Just off the A3 in Surrey)

Matthew and I have been trying out some of the activites on offer for new mums nearby. We have had baby massage classes, yoga lessons, Buggyfit classes, 'monkey music' time and today we went to a 'Gymboree' class. All good fun! I don't know who enjoys these things most, me or Matthew!

We are off to the cinema tomorrow, the Odeon have special screenings for mums and babies. We are going to see Shrek the third.

How is everyone else? Enjoying motherhood? Are people still breastfeeding? Has anyone got to grips with weaning yet? I'm still B/F Matthew and giving him a bottle of expressed milk once a day. Would love any tips on transferring to 'solids'.

Hi to Bev, Dione, Rileydee, Lucy et al....
Bye for now

Hi Ladies...is anybody there?

Our thread seems very quiet at the moment. I hope all is Ok with everyone and babies are thriving.

Matthew and I are fine. We took our first trip on the London Underground last week....phew, I was a bit worried before we went but all was Ok. We went to see Matthew's grandma. We had a lovely time and took about a million photos!

I am also really pleased that for the past week Matthew has slept for 8 hours a night, from 11pm to 7 am. Almost feel human again.....of course this could all change again next week! He is so much more active now and has just got the hang of rolling over......but doesn't know what to do after that!

How are all our spring babies? Anyone off on holidays? Braving a flight to somewhere sunny? Are all the injections going Ok? Anyone been swimming yet?

Is anyone back at the gym yet? If you are Uk you may like to try Buggyfit sessions. They are held all over the country and involve exercising outside whilst pushing your pram...it's great fun and makes me feel better when I stuff my face with chocolate and wine!

I went on a course on Child safety yesterday and am going to a 'first aid for babies' next week. Our health centre is very good with lots of activities/courses etc to choose from. My antenatal group are also still going strong and I love meeting up with the ladies for coffee and chats. We are all out tonight for a meal to celebrate one of the ladies birthday. All the dads stay at home with the babies and the girls enjoy a much needed break!

I'll stop chuntering on now and sign off, would love to hear from anyone out there! :)

Hugs

Hi Anna,

Nice to hear from you. And it would be great if the other girls will drop a line too for a quick update. Hope everyone's well.

We had our 16 week jab this week. This time they seem to be doing alright. They were cranky for a week after the 12 week Jab so fingers crossed. The girls have grown a lot, Angeline is now catching up with Elizabeth in terms of their size and the amount they are eating. Elizabeth is showing signs of teething which should be fun. They can't turn over yet and are not great lifting their heads or being on their bellies. I will practice with them more. They are smiling a lot and singing googooing a lot. And they've started ackowledging each other the last weekend. Now they seem to reach out to touch each other. Not sure if its meaningful but its a new behaviour that we've observed.

They are not sleeping through the night yet. But we put them to bed at 7 and get the evening to ourselves. I don't find it too hard anyway getting up that one time overnight. We have a rough routine which I think is working without being too restrictive. The one thing that stress us most is bath time as the girls go beserk and hate it.

I've been doing what I can when the weather permits. We've been to morning coffee with the post natal group today. Did Baby Massage yesterday. Got weaning class booked in for Friday. And our health centre has organised a local twins get together for Monday. I would like to do more like going on picnics and more walks in different parks but the weather has put a damper (excuse the pun) on everything. I still haven't found a place to do baby yoga. I've found a place for swimming and will contact them to hopefully do some classes in the new term. We went to see Harry Potter at the Mother and Baby session - what a surreal experience - its unbelievable. I like it and will go again.

Anyway, take care everyone.

Lots of love
Rittie

Hi Ladies hope everyone Ok.

Rittie, hello, glad to see all is well. I have been to the cinema too, twice now to the 'newbies' sessions. What fun! The weather has picked up now so it is better for getting out and about. We went to Hampton open air pool last week. it's lovely there, very safe and a grassed area to sit on. I would recommend it for a day out with friends.
Another thing I would recommend is Gymboree classes. It is a bit expensive but great fun, singing, playing, sliding, rocking etc.... Ours is held at the local Canons gym.

So we continue to be busy with visits and visitors. I don't know where the time is going. Matthew is almost 20 weeks old already. He is rolling over and almost sitting unaided. Such fun to watch him grow and develop new skills as each day passes. Life is also much easier as he is sleeping through the night now....hope it continues!

Hi to all out there
Bye for now
