Hi Diane
This is my first time on this site and I had to reply to you. No matter what anyone says to you, you will still worry...it's only natural!
The exact same thing happened to me yesterday and I am also only 5 weeks pregnant. My clinic took another blood test today though and apparently my levels are doubling as they expected - if not better.
Without boring you with many details, this is my third IVF attempt and the doctors are hoping that things are just moving about etc. They seem not as worried as me, and I know that they know better!
Anyway, don't be scared to be positive, it could be a good sign and perfectly normal I am told for many at this stage and beyond.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Take care,
Zoe

Hi There

Just to let you know I had spotting (brown) on day 13 and tested negative, then on day 14 I tested positive.

I have had brown/red spotting on and off for 12 weeks and baby is fine, I am now 13wk4d pg and the hospital/clinic say that some people do spot all the way through.

Has long as there are no cramp pains and your not doubled over then I can't see it being a problem. But we must never ignore these things.

Love
Shell.xx
hope you are feeling better today, Diane. It's all a waiting game - isin't it?
Zoe

thanks zoe feeling a lot better today seems to have stopped for now
how about you has yours stopped yet?
have you any sickness yet?
take care
love
di
Hi Diane,
No, mine not stopped yet, still there off and on. I'm also getting cramping off and on, but have done since last week, with lots of hot flushes! Again though I've been told not to worry as although had no scan yet, my dr seems to think it may be twins so things would definately be moving. I also have endometriosis so I'm hoping that if things are moving it's maybe just displacing that gunk. Who knows - I'll just have to wait and see. Trying to stay calm. I teach so as it' sthe holidays I've taken to lying down a lot and generally doing nothing - works for me at the mo!
Glad things sound better with you.
Take care
Zoe x

Dear Diane and Zoe,

Hope you're both hanging on in there. It's such a worry isn't it? I had some browny discharge at about 10 and a half weeks and had a scan and everything thankfully was okay. I had some earlier, but on day 10 post-ET (before I did the pregnancy test). I think bleeding seems to be fairly common - but it doesn't stop you from worrying.
Have you got 6 week scans booked yet? Hopefully that will put your minds at rest - although I'm afraid it's non-stop worry from here!!!

Best of luck,

Alison x
